“I recently collaborated with Nancy Martin of Impact Design group to get a new fireplace mantle fabricated for my client in the Charlotte area. She was not only professional but very easy to work with. The mantle was made and installed very quickly and the end result is just beautiful!”

“I am a 57 year old male who, along with only my wife's assistance, has refaced my entire kitchen by using support services and materials provided by The Cabinet Joint, specifically working with the owner, Brian Long. Our project is almost complete, and I would like to express my views concerning Mr. Long and his company. 1) I am a typical DIYer with carpentry skills ranging from low to excellent, depending upon the specific task. My tools are mostly basic quality, but function as intended. Before becoming involved with the Cabinet Joint, my knowledge of cabinets and refacing was ZERO. I would not have been able to explain the difference between a raised panel and a shaker door, I did not know how to measure a door opening to determine the proper door size, I did not know what any of the following terms meant: door overlay, hinge boring distance, raised panel door, shaker door, returning molding on itself, etc. I had not the faintest idea how concealed hinges worked. I did not know how to properly install cabinet doors, drawer fronts, or end panels. 2) Our laminate counter top badly needed replacing. So we decided to purchase a quartz counter top to place on our exsisting 1991 builder grade cabinets. We soon realized, however, that putting quartz on our dated, honey oak cabinets would be a foolish investment. Since our budget would not allow full cabinet replacement in our medium size kitchen, I spent months researching refacing options. We decided to call one of the big boxes to get a refacing quote. I received 3 phone calls from the big box prior to our quote meeting, with the big box representative stating each time "please ensure that both of the financial decision makers in the family are present at the meeting", and then they asked for my wife's full name. Of course, this sent off alarm bells for me, so on the 3rd call, I asked to speak to the regional manager of this big box operation. Without identifying himself by name, he came on the phone and said "here's the deal...our refacing STARTS at $432 a linear foot, and that is with just basic veneer, not wood grained." My kitchen contains about 35 linear feet of base and wall cabinets, so a basic big box reface would have cost between $15,120 and $21,000 for VENEERED frames. 3) As a result of all of the above, I spent several more weeks looking for alternatives. By sheer luck, I stumbled onto the web site for The Cabinet Joint. I called them, and Brian Long answered. I discovered that they provide 1/4" thick actual wood (vs. veneer) to reface with, and they provide it in your choice of finish. I told Brian I would call him back, and dug deep into the website. I discovered a vast array of solid wood doors in every conceivable style and finish, along with exact match, real wood refacing materials. 4) But I also discovered something even more important. Since I was unsure if I could do this job myself, I began asking Brian Long about the entire refacing process. Without exaggeration, I asked him literally THOUSANDS of questions of the course of several months via both phone and email) before I even made a purchase. And guess what? He calmly and completely answered each and every one of my questions to the best of his ability. Try to find that kind of customer service elsewhere, especially if you have not committed to a purchase yet! This customer sevice is what sold me on the company. 5) I made a partial order in October 2015 for materials to reface a small section of cabinets. I considered this a "test section". Well, with my moderate skills, and the knowledge gained from The Cabinet Joint, the "test area" came out beautifully and far beyond my expectations. 6) I continued to purchase material, and continued to ask questions. 3 months later, while remodeling other rooms in addition to the kitchen, the cabinets are 95% complete. I will attach before (light oak) and after (Dark Bordeaux solid hard maple) pictures. Understand that in the pictures, the floor has not been refinished yet, the toe kicks have not been installed, and the backsplash has not yet been installed. Also understand that the pictures do not do this kitchen justice. I cannot imagine a better made door than the Conestoga Brand, and I have never experienced customer service the likes of which is provided by The Cabinet Joint. In fact, it is almost like they partner with you to help you complete your kitchen. That being said, however, for a refacing project, you are not hiring their labor, and they are not on the job with you. It is up to you, as the homeowner, to make the final and critical decisions concerning your project. When a company is not on-site and cannot view your project in person, the most that can be expected from them is to provide you with some possible suggestions. After all, you are not paying money for their extensive design work, nor their labor. However, for only around $5,700, I was able to give myself and my wife a kitchen to be proud of, and the lifetime inner glow of a job well done, with the much needed help of The Cabinet Joint. I cannot say enough positive things about Mr. Long and his Company. If you are willing to take ownership of your project, and if you are willing to ask questions and receive knowledgable answers, The Cabinet Joint is the way to go. This kitchen was done for about $5,700 in materials, not including the backsplash and quartz counter top. We will be forever proud of our accomplishment, and we have and always will strongly recommend The Cabinet Joint.”

“The whole experience totally exceeded my expectations! Whitney was fabulous to work with. Since I was across the country from her - we did a lot of email, FaceTime and phone calls to develop and finalize the designs. I initially ordered 4 closets, then a few weeks later 2 pantries - they were able to install everything in one day! The installers were professional and left everything neat & clean. I plan to use CA closets for the remaining 2 closets in our home and would recommend them highly to anyone! (Score 10 out of 10)”

Bill is exceptional in every way: craftsmanship; attention to function, form and details; professionalism; reliability; customer service and just plain likeability! Bill can build anything and he did an excellent job with every part of our project from Sheetrock to beadboard to mouldings and trim work. He always maintains a clean workplace and is very respectful of your home. I would hire Bill again in a second should I have another project. He is a superb craftsman and a joy to work with!”
