“We just moved into our new house that was built for us as a turnkey project by a construction company. Even though we are very satisfied with the work of the construction company we recognized early in the process that they couldn't give us needed support on many topics that are strongly impacting how the house would look and feel once you live in there. Especially since we didn't want to go with current fashion but build a home that is timeless, elegant and has a rather classical style. So, we followed a recommendation and contacted Markus. We started with a half day workshop and then continued to work together over the span of two years, every time we needed support on specific topics. Communication with Markus is pleasant and efficient. Our video conferences, calls and chats were fun quite often. For more complex topics he sent us a documentation afterwards that we could straight away forward to the construction company without me needing to “translate” things that I am not proficient in at all. Markus helped us: - choosing flooring materials, doors, stairs, skirting boards, ceiling profiles, wallpapers, bathroom furnishing, materials for the entrance area leading to the house - putting together the colour concept for the house (none of our rooms on the ground floor is white except the pantry) - designing the kitchen - creating the furniture plan which was needed even before the actual construction started to know the future positions for the built-in lightning - sourcing key pieces of furniture & lamps (which ranged from used eBay objects over Ikea and furniture shops to some designer objects) - deciding all kind of unexpected and often last-minute questions that tend to arise during building a house, like should the skirting go round a specific corner or how can we do the windowsill at this difficult window, or can we find a room thermostat that does not look ugly yellowish next to our white light switches... Often, we had some ideas already but didn't know how to realize them or if they would match the overall style of the house. It was very difficult for us to imagine how things would come together later on and look in reality. Markus’ help in these topics was brilliant. He always gave different options and a personal recommendation taking into our account our preferences. We especially appreciate that he often came up with suggestions how things could be done beautiful but still affordable. None of his recommendations failed to look stunning in real live now. We receive a lot of compliments from friends, builders and even strangers on our house: on how the classical style works very well even with a modern house and how all the rooms fit wonderfully together creating an elegant yet warm and welcoming atmosphere. We couldn’t have done it without Markus and we are so grateful for his help. We are beyond happy with the result and will for sure continue to work with Markus. We can highly recommend his work in every aspect of interior design.”
