“I fully recommend this company, they weren't the cheapest - not in an overly expensive kind of way, more like shopping at John Lewis rather than B&Q - but any extra costs were repaid by the care and attention they always provide and I'm sure in the long term how the kitchen will continue to look and perform. I first visited their showroom and got a quote from them during Covid 2020 but, due to not being able to find any builders to carry out the construction work, I delayed for over 4 years; when I finally went back they treated me like an old friend; and that really just sums them up - they have a strong family feel about them and they treat you as though you are one of their family, it doesn't matter if you are just browsing, asking them to provide detailed designs or actually placing an order, their care and professionalism and making you feel comfortable and welcome at all times is at the forefront of the way they work. I never once felt pressured to place an order or uncomfortable that they had done a lot of design and costings 4 years prior to me placing an order. The quality of the materials and installation work is outstanding; yes I could have purchased a cheaper kitchen but I knew, with Elite, I would just be able to 'sit back' and let them get on with it, confident that if any issues arose that they would deal with them swiftly, efficiently and with pride in their workmanship. “When we first moved in to our home 20 years ago, we chose a Siematic kitchen and although it was still in good condition, we wanted to modernise the kitchen and update the layout to better suit our needs. I found Arthouse online as one of the local Siematic dealers and took the opportunity to call in one day whilst in Alderly Edge to have a quick look at the new collections. We met Emma for the first time, she was incredibly helpful and we arranged for them to look at the existing kitchen space and to give us some feedback with regards to what options they thought we should consider. Our main objective was to increase the amount of worktop space and improve the layout for entertaining. However, we wanted to achieve this with no impact to the adjoining extension (which had been completed a few years previously) and the Kirkstone slate flooring which ran throughout, so the kitchen footprint had to mimic what we already had. Emma looked after us throughout the process, and put an initial design together along with several options on the various worktops, cupboard fronts, accessories and prices. We were determined not to rush in and gave ourselves time to consider the options and make sure we were focussing our budget on things that would really make a difference. We did go and look at other kitchen options, but none of them compared to the build quality of the Siematic units and we didn't want to compromise on quality, especially on something we would be using every day. I expected the design process to be much more stressful than it actually was. In fact, we made only a few minor changes to the original design, some aesthetic details like the colour of the sink, others practical such as doubling up the fridges and freezer. Emma was great in working through solutions, such as the lighting under the wall units above the hob. I wanted this to be a continuous light. So having originally proposed a conventional hob and extractor above, we changed to a Bora hob with an inbuilt extractor fan. I love the way the light has got 3 dimmer settings and also warmth levels can be adjusted. The most stressful part of the process was down to us. I wanted to recycle our old kitchen, so Arthouse put us in touch with Kitchen Exchange. They were great to deal with and we did successfully sell the old kitchen, however I underestimated how much effort and time it would take for us to clean everything prior to its removal, just before Christmas. The installation went smoothly, the kitchen fitter Dan and his colleague Tom from D & B Joinery were possibly the tidiest contractors we have ever had do any work for us. They were meticulous and minimised the impact on the rest of the house. Although there were a few issues, and some minor challenges presented, Emma quickly dealt with them and the project was completed just before Christmas. Emma and the Arthouse team were a joy to work with. They were considerable, knowledgeable and have offered a great service before during and after the installation, we would highly recommend them. The kitchen design has exceeded our expectations. It is simple, spacious and beautiful. On a practical level, it has met all our needs, but from a design point of view it has united the adjoining spaces.”
