Satoshi's work is beautifully crafted and of THE HIGHEST QUALITY.
Positives:
--QUALITY. His pieces are simply impeccably constructed. I can't say more than that.
--SCOPE. He works with all types of materials from "everyday" woods to exotic woods (like "wenge" wood). He offers more than just Koa or Acacia woods (which are so popular in Hawaii that artisans seem to assume this is what every client wants). And he goes WAY BEYOND repurposed drift wood (also popular in island homes). If you are looking for something not traditionally "island", Satoshi can absolutley deliver. I am sure he can do "island-style" too, but I wouldn't know since that's not my style.
--PROFESSIONALISM and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Satoshi and his wife/partner, Marcia, are absolutely professional. They answer calls and texts. They show up when they say they will. They give you an accurate and honest estimate of cost. They give you and accurate and honest estimate of timeline to complete work. They get your approval of the design before proceeding. They offer you multiple options (materials and design) that may suite your overall vision. They do NOT try to sway you toward a design that they are more comfortable with or that is easier for them to produce. They are polite and accomodating in the extreme and without any of the "this is my art, I do it my way or no way" moodiness that some artisans exhbit. Simply put: they are artists AND consummate professionals. After over a year of trying to find custom furniture makers (some we interviewed but then did not respond to us again or even discouraged us from using their services!), we were THRILLED when we found Satoshi.
--REASONABLE. The level of work that Satoshi produces justifies the cost, which is still LESS than estimates we received from others. The pieces are built to last and you simply will not find a cheaper version anywhere on island - period.
Our projects:
We had custom bookcases made. We wanted very contemporary design, very clean lines. Dark wood. We wnated them custom built to fit a specific space. Satoshi delivered on all counts. The bookcases are simply beautiful. The construction is perfect.
We are now having a dining table and TV console made as well as damaged kitchen cabinets / drawer fronts replaced.

You need to go one more block Ewa, then turn right, and turn right again onto Pensacola to find the FREE ground-level garage parking.
The store features 3 floors of furniture and accessories and the staff will leave you alone to dream and plan. It is a must- see element of the Hawaii interior design community.”
