Thanks for your suggestion about the table/chairs. If they were *in* the kitchen, they would be soooo in the way. I mean, they'd have to be *only* in the kitchen for dining and would have to be removed *every* time I wanted to cook. Pluse, they would be in the way of walking out my back door - something I do so many times a day. Really, where they are now - give or take 6-10" in one direction or another is the only place they can be. The floorprint of this house is 12' x 25', and that includes living, dining, kitchen and front and back door. The kitchen table and sofa double as offices, as well. My printer is here as well. That's a lot of double duty!

That all sounds great then, as long as it works for you that's all that matters. Sit with it for some time ( again!) And see what it feels like whenever the electrician comes out. Your space looks updated and lovely now just from a couple changes !
