@catspa_zone9sunset14 I can't find either 'Mainz' or 'Kardinal Piffl ' on HMF. I even tried looking up Leenders (there are two), but no luck finding 'Mainz' under either breeder. Could you post a link? I love your rose, and hope it performs well for you.

John, thanks and here is a link for 'Mainz' on HMF: https://helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.39467, and here is a link for 'Kardinal Piffl': https://helpmefind.com/rose/pl.php?n=30202. HMF's search function has at times been a little capricious and persnickety for me lately, too -- especially annoying are the spelling changes it INSISTS on that are wrong (like changing "etoile" to "toile" repeatedly when I'm trying to get to 'Etoile de Feu' -- sometimes I have to go to Google and put in the correct variety name and specify "HMF" there in order to get a link that works -- oy!).

There, at least, is one thing AI is good at, Jackie -- vacuuming up every little mention in print that it can find. Interesting though that it only mentions HMF as a source in association with the Kordes rose 'Goldenes Mainz' in your second link and not at all in your first link -- maybe it couldn't get to the Leenders 'Mainz' on HMF either :-).

Maybe Indian Grass, Sorghastrum nutans? The orchid is Lady's Tresses a species of Spiranthes.

Otterbon, yesterday I would have said yes to getting another Cappuccino, but today that form that I love is gone…so no today
John, If I could I would send you some strength. Since I can’t, I suggest your favorite pastry and a gourmet cup of coffee. Thanks for explaining your ”word talent.” You bring the words to life.
Jim - good luck with your prostate (my husband has the same worry). I hope that you'll be fine. Thanks for letting us know, and keep us in the loop, please. :)
Kitty - thanks about my roses. :) Your Anushka is glorious!!! WOWZA and SWOOON!!! I love everything about it. :) I was thinking about ordering Wildberry last year, but I didn't. Maybe I should have. :)
Otterbon - I love your Cappuccino bloom. That color is so great! I'm impressed with your bouquet; anyone would love to get that. I bet it really brightened up your friend's day. :)
Kentucky - I agree; I think the haiku versus were inspired. :) Thanks about my St. Tropez. :) I've never heard of apple cider doughnuts. Interesting. :)
Fig - No wonder I loved your Haiku so much; you're a bard at heart. I'm sorry about your family members. That's got to be tough emotionally and physically. I'll pray for you often. God Bless, and thanks for letting us know. :)
John-fig_insanity,
You will look back at your care giving as the most important thing you have done in your life. Marriage, children, successful career, etc., pale in comparison. The reason is that all the last wonderful life milestones involve both giving and taking, but care giving is pure giving. God bless you in this undertaking. I will be praying for you.
Moses.
