floral, I am with you. I came up with the word tight but couldn't see what the missing G meant. I did not see anything football about it. To me, it was quite a stretch. But then again, almost all these are.

It was quite a stretch for that "g" to cover the whole space between those distant ends ... to make them "tight" - at a neighbourhood pub, maybe?

Several of my rather ancient undies have become so out of touch with this attribute of their youthful activities that unless I add some extra stretch, their sideways ends have grown so distant that they drop down further than their middle, that gets hung up on the crotch of my pants- (when I'm wearing them).
