That seedling has been a bloomer! Cooling down a little here. Very dry with no rain and no rebloom. Deer took care of the one plant with rebloom.

A nice color. Plants here are huge from all the rain.

Weeds, rain, weeds, rain. August and September have both been the second wettest on record. And last year, we had a half inch of rain in that period. Interesting to see Fever Dream; almost all eye.

I refrigerate all my seeds and then plant them Thanksgiving weekend. I tend to get blooms the second season. I used to plant in the spring and would not get any bloom until the third year. I am also in zone 5 in Upstate Central NY.

Brad,
Planting around Thanksgiving was suggested to me by Brent Ross of Cottage Gardens. Mother Nature gets rid of the weaklings. Brent says that he typically gets bloom the second year. When I lived in Maryland, and planted seeds in the spring, I wouldn't see blooms until the third year. I am presently working on clearing a space for planting seeds Thanksgiving weekend.
