Slowdog Run
The first house of what the Owners hope is a small community of friends draws much of its form from a new Rural Vernacular. There is the low living space, with a simple shed roof, contrasting the tall bedroom "silo." The house shapes are simple; very cost effective. The materials are consistent with the rural vernacular of clapboard siding and tin roofs, updated to cementitious siding and a standing seam metal roof. Vertical tongue and groove mahogany siding and large panes of vision glass provide accents to the rustic materials and wonderful views of the natural environment.
