An open concept kitchen and dining room was a must in order to accomodate this large family's lifestyle. Inviting the outdoors in, we kept the interior space in a warm beige natural tone. The kitchen backsplash is in a beautiful wood bark finish tile that extends into the dining room.

We moved the powder room off of the back exterior wall so that we could maximize the view to the ravine. We carried the same engineered hardwood flooring right into the powder room, and painted the walls in grey. We added some black and white art in the tiny powder room to make it interesting. .

This was a budget project. One of the challenges was to create a beautiful and functional kitchen without breaking the bank. This living room is open to the kitchen and dining area. We carried the same hardwood flooring throughout the entire space and into the powder room. We've changed out the wood burning fireplace to a gas fireplace that heats the whole house and brings the family together.

The entire main level has the same hardwood flooring throughout with the same wood melamine on their custom millwork and kitchen. The old stairs were custom clad to create a new modern look.

The house originally had double entry doors. We widened the space and replaced the existing double doors with a new set of doors with glass panels to let light in.

The original eat in kitchen was able to seat 6 people in a very tight space. After the renovation, they are able to seat 16 easily, while also having access to the best view in the house.

We've created a gathering nook within the kitchen, but out of they way of the counters. It turns out this is the most used space in the house by the kids as they have a family computer in the space. The two windows were existing and now add a great focal point to a new, well used bench.
