Ideas? Kitchen done! Just needs a backsplash

    Looking at the style and aesthetic of your cabinetry and island I think a clean white beveled subway would be beautiful and keep the monochrome as well as classic traditional look while adding some texture. I also love the white artisinal subway that has more of an undulated surface and uneven edges giving character, warmth and hand-crafted beauty to an otherwise clean and simple splash. If you are looking for a bit more variation and 'pop' you could do a carrera marble basket weave or herringbone splash to relate to your island top. The possibilities are limitless - what is your ultimate desire/impact for your splash? Subtle, dramatic, reserved, statement, ease of maintenance, understated, patterned, simple..... This information can help us pros better advise you ;)

      How about glass? I like the wall color, so thought maybe glass?

      Or a simple glass subway would give a bit of sparkle.

      I like your island, pretty piece. If you like a crisp clean look then I too would second glass tiles. Go with a color to contrast all the white. A light gray to pull the vein coloring from the island..

      My first suggestion was a glass sheet, just to clarify. My second was glass tiles.

      Gorgeous kitchen! I think glass is too modern. Take a look at Winchester Tiles, an English tile company with US distributors.

      Hands down, white subway. You have so many other statement pieces happening, let those be the standouts.

      You might consider doing a plaque behind your range and pull from your island countertop. A herringbone pattern can add some interest an texture.
