    Hello. Trudi,

This basement space is a wonderful place for this client to taste their extensive liquor collection.

We enhanced the tasting room by adding a fully refrigerated wine storage showcase and now the client can also enjoy tasting their fine wines.

Like all our other projects, we designed and built this wine area from frame to finish.

Adjacent to this tasting room was a utility room, and this was a perfect location for us to store the wine cellar fully ducted cooling system. From this cooling system we then provided cold air to the new wine room and warm air is removed by more duct work near the ceiling.

As with all our refrigerated wine rooms, we fist spray closed cell foam in all framing wall and ceiling cavities. Once all the electrical wiring and foam is installed, we close up the walls and ceiling. (in this case with moisture resistant drywall tape and paint.) We then installed floor to ceiling wall mounted triple deep wine racks to store all the wine. The left and right columns of wine are all magnum wine bottles, while all the standard 750 millimeter bottles are in-between.

We installed a store front thermal pane glass and metal wall with twin double doors to access every area of the wine room.

The length of this wine cellar is 16 feet long x 7 . 6 feet high.

The wine cellar temperature can be viewed from the client's smart phone and thus provides added security when they are away on long trips they can check the temperature and humidity levels of their wine room. If they see a high temperature reading, they can give us a call and we will send out a technician to identify and correct the problem.

Thank you for your questions, I hope this reply will provide the answer's you were looking for!

    Cheers,

    Matthew Germano

Great job on the project! Do you do work in South Carolina? Lake Keowee?

    Hello Trudi,

In answer to your question, Yes but I would need to work with your local hvac and electrical contractor's. We do have a basic consulting fee and design fee, so I would need more specific information regarding your wine cellar to help determine what that will be..

Is this to be a newly constructed home?

Do you plan on converting an existing room into a wine cellar?

Is you wine cellar for showcase?

Or is you cellar primarily for just storage?

What is the length, width and height of your wine cellar?

How many 750 mill bottles do you need to store?

How many Bordeaux bottles would you like to store?

How many Champaign bottles would you like to store?

Do you have any large format bottles you want to store?

Do you want traditional wood wine racks?

Or do you want metal label forward style wine racks?

When would you like to begin your wine cellar project?

Will any materials need to be moved by Ferry?

    Best Regards,

    Matthew Germano
