We have worked with Annie and Richard of Hygge and Cwtch on ideas for an open-plan extension to our house. As well as their ideas being creative and interesting they were very enjoyable people to work with. They were patient, adaptable and always willing to talk their ideas through. It has been lovely to work with Annie and Sarah on designs for my living room and bedroom. I felt inspired from the get go with Annie's initial visit and the time taken to listen to my needs. My personal style and taste was fully embraced within the designs and they have beautiful, unique touches and attention to detail. It was really valuable to have a 3D visual of the design before committing to anything and Annie and Sarah were always on hand for support and advice throughout. I am very happy and content with the service provided by Annie. From the initial meetings, through the design stage to completion it has been a friendly and stress free process and an absolute pleasure. Annie can be as hands-on in terms of project management as you like. She listens carefully to the brief provided by you and designs various stylish options to choose from. We purchased a house in St. Ives mid-2022 with the intention of turning it into a Holiday Let. Annie from Hygge & Cwtch was recommended to us by our letting agents to design the interior and exterior of the property. We were looking for a full turn-key service as we are located 220 miles away so we really needed someone we could trust. Firstly, Richard designed the most wonderful garden and BBQ area and then Annie designed the interiors. This included all lighting, decorations, furnishings and themes. We loved the designs and with a few tweaks pushed straight ahead. Annie then provided a full turn-key service liaising with our principle contractor to fulfil the project. She worked tirelessly ordering all the furniture, fixtures and fittings for the house and installed everything over a 10 day period alongside our builder. We could not be happier with the result of our property and we have had so many positive comments from viewers. I cannot recommend Annie, Richard and H&C highly enough. If you are looking for a hardworking professional interior design firm who really go above-and-beyond for their clients, then look no further!

We are delighted to recommend Hygge and Cwtch. they helped us transform our 'doer upper' from a neglected, dark and dated bungalow to a stylish, cosy home we love to live in. We bought it after it had been empty for a few years and it needed a complete overhaul. They came up with the design vision and worked their magic to remodel the internal space to create a light filled open plan kitchen, family room and beautiful shaker kitchen with separate utility as well as a 'cwtch' where we can light a fire, relax and enjoy the mountain views. They took the elements of the design throughout our home including the bedrooms and bathrooms so it all felt cohesive and connected. We absolutely loved their ideas and the finished space really works for us. They are careful to give that personal touch to make sure the design reflected us and how we use our home. Hygge and Cwtch make sure every detail is considered and we recommend them wholeheartedly.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Annie on a recent home renovation project. Having spent the last four years working professionally alongside many different interior designers, Annie's work, attention to detail, client care, deep and thoughtful relationships and the ways she sees the needs of those she is creating for is so wonderfully clear to see. I've never worked with someone who has so deeply considered the needs and passions of her client in every single design detail brought into a project. The home itself was both uplifting, meaningful, creative and a complete joy to spend time in. We bought a seafront 1930’s semi in St Ives in need of a full house and garden renovation - but it was all about the location! We wanted to bring in the outside and update the gloomy warren of rooms by creating open plan living spaces to celebrate the special light we enjoy here by the Atlantic. Our preferred aesthetics being coastal, contemporary, minimal and eclectic, with zones rather than rooms and gallery style spaces to showcase our art. We also wanted to future proof our home by incorporating a discreet lift to the first floor and upper garden terrace and design in easily accessible equipment for the kitchen and two new ensuite bathrooms. All important was an extension over the garage for a studio with a balcony to make the most of the views. We had neighbours to consider, so we needed Hygge and Cwtch to come up with a sympathetic scheme. We had seen and loved some of their work previously, so we knew Hygge and Cwtch were on our wavelength and had no hesitation in entrusting them with our project. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and collaborative approach made the whole process inspiring and enjoyable and we are delighted with the transformation. They achieved all our goals and more! The designs and outcomes were the perfect marriage of style and substance, with clever layouts and inspired storage solutions. To paraphrase William Morris - our interiors are now ‘useful and beautiful’. Phase one (the house) now completed, we are looking forward to realising Hygge and Cwtch’s vision for our studio extension next year.
