Artificial turf play area
We had replaced this client's Zoysia three times due to shade and moisture in his back yard. So he asked us to install an artificial grass back yard. Artificial turf like this can have storm water drain across it, so we designed this dry creek bed around it to direct water to back yard. I was a bit skeptical in artificial grass until I saw how successful this project was. It looks great year round, without additional fertilizers, chemicals and water. All you have to do is blow the leave off. It is expensive per SF, but for a small job like this, its not bad. There is a difference in brands and installation, so make sure you see it before you buy it. But for areas that you can't grow grass and want a grass look with very little maintenance, artificial turf is a good option. Mark Schisler, Legacy Landscapes, Inc.
