Colourful Garden Transformation
The levels around the house were changed where a new pathway was laid for informal access, incorporating the rocks for retaining purposes. This immediately brought in new functionality and flow into the existing spaces.
The many different areas tie in with each other by the rocks and pebbles which are repeated, the repetitive planting and an overall colour scheme.
On the hotter side of the garden, the tropical planting transitions into a hardier low maintenance plant palette including some natives, while keeping within the overall colour scheme. The owner had many succulents which were added to the overall planting.
This existing quirky wind pump had to be re-positioned somewhere in the garden, and even though it didn't fit in with the tropical planting, it sits well among this planting on the further side of the garden.
