Bredder Land ManagementRemoved existing paved walkway and regraded entire yard with 30 tons of topsoil to create a lush and green yard that flows into the stone patio, and to the wrap around porch. The porch and patio seamlessly flow to the raised garden, contained by a bluestone-capped fieldstone retaining wall. Soft Touch Japanese Hollys and Lentin Roses, some Butterfly Bushes and a Burning Bush fill in the raised bed nicely, and will only look better once mature!

Whisper House Real Estate Group, L.L.CThe front yard of this house was overgrown and outdated. A new retaining wall was built and a narrow driveway expanded with turf-stone. A waterfall to the far right doubles as a retaining wall as well. The plants chosen provide interest year round and are drought tolerant. The two trees were left as end pieces to the planter which you see from the living room window. The metal edging was added for ease of maintenance between areas.

James Martin AssociatesRequest Free Quote Separating the tightly knit bluestone from the main patio, a stepper path is created that is less formal and more casual than its predecessor. Leading away, the stepper path offsets into an autumn adventure of discovery. The trail lingers through planting selected for seasonal color, and is in loose relaxing contrast to the resolute style of the patio and pool terrace. The scene changes daily in October, resulting in a glorious and ever-changing event.

Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignLagoon-side property in the Bel Marin Keys, Novato, CA. Entertaining and enjoying the views were a primary design goal for this project along with replacing the lawn with CA native and low water plants and a total renovation. The project includes a large camaru deck with built-in seating. The concrete steps and pavers lead down to the water's edge. I included a sunken patio on one side and a beautiful Buddha statue on the other, surrounded by succulents and other low-water, contemporary plantings.

Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignThis San Rafael front landscape has been dramatically updated with a welcoming concrete pathway entrance, and complimented by a variety of architectural plants, hardy succulents, such as Yucca 'Bright Star', Blue chalk sticks, and others and a majestic, fruitless olive tree. The dramatic transformation is enhanced by a raised corten steel planter at the pathway entrance with gravel and succulents. Two horizontal ipe wood structures provide contemporary accents. New raised concrete planters alongside the new concrete driveway define the property and showcase more colorful succulents. A beautiful gray house paint color and ipe accents complete the remodel.
