I was searching for a banquet size dining table as a 50th birthday present for my wife (yes, that is what she wanted) and stumbled upon Antique Purveyors. Donald and Eric worked with us to create a magnificent table. I hope that he posts it on his web site so that you can see it. We managed to put 24 people (with catering chairs) around the table with just a few people at the kid's table. Now, we need to speak with them about chairs!

I have frequently purchased items on line, but never as large as my purchase from Antique Purveyor. I was a little nervous as most people would be making this kind of purchase. But I am pleased to say that Antique Purveyor came through with a top quality product that was even more beautiful than the picture portrayed. The service I received was exceptional from beginning to end. Donald and his team understood the importance of regular communications as we went through the process. I had seen products in the same category in local stores. But to get this kind of high end quality locally would have cost me more than double what I paid. I couldn't be more pleased and would gladly do business with them again. They get my highest recommendation.

I selected the K NOF 005 secretary desk to be the jewel of the Trenton Room, a part of the New Jersey Suite at the American Revolutionary War Institute of the Society of the Cincinnati, located at historic Anderson House in Washington, D.C. The desk fit the compact space well, had historic roots appropriate for an historic home, and completely transformed the functionality and elegance of the space. Antique Purveyor was a delight to work with, the transaction went smoothly, and the company I hired to transport the desk from New Jersey to Northern Virginia (until time to install it) had no difficulty making the pickup from them. The desk was well packed within a carton, and arrived safely. Upon delivery, the desk turned out to be even more beautiful and beautifully made than advertised. The finish was exquisite, and the woods beautiful. This desk could define the words "fine furniture". We were thrilled to have it in the space. Amazing quality. Great value. Fantastic service. We purchased the WZ 7 WAL 3A mahogany dining table, NDRSC 037-BM Pf chairs, and the DR SB 76 22 sideboard. We found Antique Purveyor almost 2 years ago and were waiting for the proper timing to buy this furniture. After all this time waiting, we made arrangements on a snowy day in early March to visit and get a first hand look at the furniture (fortunately we are only a few hours away). We were both delighted and concerned to hear that they were moving and had a sale going on to clear out the inventory. Well luck was on our side. We were greeted warmly by Eric who took tons of time to show us many options...and we walked away having purchased a new dining room! Great sale prices, too. But the big surprise came when Eric and Pat were able to personally deliver the pieces the following week. I love these guys. So personable, caring and professional. I want to adopt them. Seriously, they took tremendous care to unwrap, place, and inspect the pieces to ensure our satisfaction. The craftsmanship is fantastic. The sideboard is so amazing. I just had my first experience in ordering a fine"one of it's type round mahogany dining table that has retractable leafs. In ordering this very expensive, unique table I decided to initially trust this organization in its customer service, integrity with documentation and delivery and they did not let me down. The table arrived when it was supposed to and in the manner I had been told that it would be .The table was perfect in condition and assembled for me in my home. The table was exactly what the owner and staff members had photographed for my viewing and the customer service at every step of the way was as first class as the table itself. After this initial experience in product delivery and displayed personal follow through by them I can most assuredly state that they have in me a customer for life. My table is absolutely spectacular and is exactly what I first viewed , on-line, when I first contacted them through their website .

I came across Antique Purveyor on Houzz accidentally while trying to find, in vain, a well priced, extra large, classically styled dining table for a client. As a designer, I am always looking for new and trusted resources but this was the find of the century! Before making such a sizable purchase on my client's behalf, I made few calls to AP to get some more detailed information about the table, and about their company in general. They were extremely helpful and honest and provided me with the information I needed to proceed with the purchase without ever having set foot in their shop. When the table arrived, my client called immediately, she was over the moon! The table, that I worried from the pictures, and it's price tag, may be too good to be true, turned out to be even better in person. I would just like to add that I started my design career in a high end antique shop on Madison Avenue - so when I say that I was impressed by the look and quality of this table, having been surrounded by the real thing for years, this is not a compliment I make lightly. This was a win for us all.

We are very pleased with our experience with Antique Purveyor. We bought a large china cabinet from them for our dining room. They were very professional, promptly responded to all my emails and questions, and kept me updated on the timeline of delivery. We received the cabinet within about a month of ordering it. The two-person crew who delivered the cabinet were also very professional and super careful with the cabinet and took care not to scratch the floors, walls, etc. in our house. The cabinet itself looks beautiful! It looks very well made and did not have a single little scratch on it when it was delivered and put in place in our dining room. We love it! We bought our dream house and faced the challenge of furnishing it. The dining room was a daunting priority. One of the reasons we bought this house was that it had a large dining room -- 20.5 ft by 14.5 ft. That is large enough, in theory, for our extended family to come and sit at the same table for holiday cheer. To make this happen, we wanted a table that could, with all leaves in, seat 14 comfortably. At conventional retail furniture stores, options were limited or nonexistent. We tried Ethan Allen, Wolf's, Sheffield, Belfort (a local DC store), and others. Many of those stores had no tables that large at all. They were constantly trying to sell us on smaller sets. Those that did have an option were very (sometimes astronomically) expensive, were not in keeping with the style that we were looking for, and in some cases of poor quality, using cheap wood like popular instead of mahogany. Turning to the Internet, we found Antique Purveyors. We wanted to but the entire set together -- table, chairs, buffet, china cabinet -- and I was leery about spending that much money at a small Internet outfit sight-unseen. But, faced with limited options, we decided to pull the trigger. Unlike many of the more conventional furniture store we have made other purchases at, Eric at Antique Purveyors delivered on everything he promised, and we could not be more thrilled. The furniture looks even better than in the pictures, and it is absolutely perfect for our space. My wife and I are looking forward to our first Christmas in the new house and at the new table.
