We are so pleased with the service and craftmanship Noah Construction provided during our recent unplanned renovations. We experienced a water line burst that resulted in a remodel of a downstairs bathroom and floors. To say that Itay and his team took care of us is minimizing his and their control and understanding of our insurance process and scope of work negotiations. Itay went to bat for us and not only secured funding for new floors throughout our downstairs but also had our insurance include new paint on all of our downstairs walls. That included our 20ft floor to ceiling living room walls. As we started our work process with Noah Construction, we were careful not to share too much information with them about our insurance decisions. We have had negative experiences in the past, so we were careful not to blindly trust Itay and his team with all of our information up front. After about our second week of working with the team, it was clear that we had an allay in our remodel process and our communication and mutual understanding of our desires became seamless. Noah Constructions crew was talented, hardworking, professional and very courteous. We could not have asked for a better experience with what was an undesirable situation during the holiday season. Noah Construction will be our go to service for any remodel moving forward. If you give them a try, I am sure your experience will be the same as ours. They are just outstanding! Nomi helped us with two full bathroom remodels, plus a whole house ceiling makeover (popcorn removal and recessed lighting). The crews were very hard working and professional, and got the job done within the estimated time frame. This job had the extra challenge of me being remote, and Nomi was there every step of the way with great communication and perfect design suggestions which made our job much easier. Itay Darvish and Noah Construction did a fantastic job on my project. A water pipe bust required garage and primary bath repair. Itay was professional and patient when I became overwhelmed with options. Itay offered to go with me to flooring, vanity, and plumbing fixture stores. His recommendations and connections with contractor-only stores gave me the product and price I needed. Itay provided a detailed estimate and held to it. No change orders or surprises. Work was done on time and Itay was always available and responsive to questions. The skilled workers were professional and I trusted them in my home. The project turned out fantastic and I absolutely recommend Noah Construction and Itay as your lead project manager.

We had a wonderful experience with Noah Construction & Design ! We had a major leak in our primary bathroom. Initially we were connected with a restoration company who battled the insurance company and repaired the water damage. That company connected us with Noahs after obtaining some reimbursement from the insurance company. The first day we met Itay, I knew we were in good hands. Itay is smart, polite, extremely communicative, reliable, considerate, talented, and has a great sense of humor, which you need during a remodel. Itay is also very stylish! Yes, I said stylish ! I was honestly so grateful for this quality. I am a new homeowner and have never designed anything. I told him about my style, likes and dislikes, and we were on the same page with everything. He was very mindful of our budget and guided us in the right direction for good quality products at reasonable prices. Itay’s crew is also fabulous ! Sergio and Pauly were very professional and conscientious about noise. They greeted us every morning with a smile and kept an eye out for our cats as to not let them outside. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and look forward to working together again on our next projects ! We highly recommend !

We had such a wonderful experience with Noah Construction and Design on our recent home addition! We met a few contractors, but immediately liked Nomi Hazan, and she was the only one who was able to give us a very ballpark idea of what she thought our project would cost at our first meeting. She then did a comprehensive write up of our project with a formal estimate once we decided we wanted to move forward with her. She was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was easy to communicate with via text and phone calls, and she really helped guide us with design decisions. We had never done such a huge home project before, and she made everything seem manageable and even fun!! It was so exciting to see our new room become a reality! Nomi told us the job would take about 3 months, and even with the delays that happened due to so much rain this winter, everything was done in 3.5 months. And on top of that, the Forman on our job, Garry, was excellent and also always reachable via text or phone, or just right outside if we had a questions about details or when certain things might happen. Additionally, all the people who worked at our home were incredibly professional and clearly had worked together before. Noah Construction & Design's bid was closer to our budget than others, and Itay's professionalism and manner won our business. Itay's crew, including Sergio, was fast, professional, timely, motivated and they did EXCELLENT work! They installed vinyl flooring and painted the inside of our whole home. They were conscientious about how they left their workspace and when the job was done they cleaned up everything! Itay was very responsive to questions and I really appreciated his opinions and suggestions. One of the best things about working with Itay is his manner; we were stressed out but he remained calm and helpful every step of the way. We plan to do more work in the future and there is no question that we will hire Noah Construction & Design again!

i'm a Real Estate investor with properties in Las Vegas and California. I've purchased and renovated many homes and dealt with more than a handful of contractors. In fact, the total remodel of my townhome in South Pasadena was the 3rd of 4 in the same 4 plex. Noah's construction and design was heads and tails above the prior two, and as good as any i've used in the past. Being a rental property both speed and keeping other tenants happy was and always is a main concern. Nomi and her crew were fantastic in both regards. As it turned out had they not been so efficient i may have got stuck in the lockdown which potentially could have cost me thousands of dollars, thanks again!! We recently hired Noah Construction to redo our 1970's kitchen. We recently bought our home, and one of the first things we wanted to update was the kitchen. We were afraid to get bids from contractors based on horror stories we have heard from friends and family. Well, after meeting with a few different companies, the stories are very true. They are all out to see how much they can charge you with vary vague timelines, etc. We finally came across Noah Construction, and we are so glad we did. Nomi, the owner is amazing to work with. She was very patient with us, and provided us several design options for our new kitchen. There were no surprises or unexpected expenses. Nomi did a great job factoring all costs down to the smallest detail. Nomi and her crew were always very professional and on time, YES ON TIME!! They promised to arrive everyday day at 8am, and followed through with their promise to finish the project on time. Timeline was very important to us due to kids being home with distant learning. The best part is that they did a very thorough job at the end of each day to clean up the work area to minimize dust and debris. We are so glad we chose Nomi and her company, they made everything very easy on us from choosing colors, countertops, cabinet type, hardware etc. We highly recommend Noah Construction! The builders were clean, quiet, friendly, and efficient which made living in the house during the remodel doable. We had a difficult situation in which we had bought a house that had previous permitting issues, and it was a long process to get the un-permitted addition space up to code. Ori worked hard to move the process along with the City and always kept us informed about what was happening and how long things would take. Once we were able to move forward, Ori and his team did a fantastic job with everything from rebuilding our addition space, front balcony, and patio cover, to remodeling a bathroom and installing a new electrical panel. They did very high quality work with a great eye for detail, especially on the rod iron work they did for our staircase and front balcony. And they always did a good job cleaning up once they completed anything. Nomi was also very helpful in the design process for our bathroom remodel, improving the flow and functionality of the space. Finally, their group was upfront and honest, and never promised more than they could deliver. I highly recommend Noah Construction for your next project.

Nomi and the construction team were such a pleasure to work with. We hired them to renovate most of our home - we redid our kitchen and one bathroom, redid the flooring through out, and added lighting in a few rooms. We were very impressed by their commmunication and great customer service. Nomi was available always through text of phone when we had changes or concerns. She always answered our questions promptly. Her crew was always cordial and helpful whenever we visited the job site. The estimated timeline for our renovation was reasonable and they even completed the job before the proposed date which was awesome because we are expecting our first baby in December! The quality of the work was impeccable and we couldn’t be happier with our new home! We are so thankful to the Noah construction crew!

I seriously cannot recommend Noah Construction enough! Nomi and her team are always on-time, reliable, responsive, and very professional. Most importantly, the work was beautiful and done to perfection! I never had to worry about a thing. If any issues came up, they were fixed immediately. The construction team she works with, Gary and his guys are truly exceptional. They are honest, trustworthy and the quality of their work is second to none. I had them repaint my entire condo, install decorative moldings, and renovate my entire kitchen and it couldn’t have been a better experience.

We hired Noah in 2017 and to help us with renovations to a rental property we had purchased. As is always the case, the work turned up issues from the previous owners' work, but Nomi and her team helped us to mitigate much of the found issues and kept us within a reasonable budget. The finished product was better than we had hoped for.

We hired Noah Construction in July of 2017 to renovate our kitchen. We could not have been happier w the work by Noah Construction & Design. We have worked with a few contractors over the years and Nomi and her team created the least amount of stress and headache for us. I don't think her quote is the lowest out there but I wouldn't have traded Nomi's team for anyone else. We had neighbors who renovated their kitchens for lower prices and then basically told horror stories about contractors disappearing or shoddy work. We had none of this. The work reflects good craftmanship and we really like the quality of our cabinets and countertop. A big shout out to Terri who was incredibly responsive and provided real time progress updates. I don't think any construction progress ever goes 100% according to plan but how a contractor handles any hiccups is a testament to the quality of the contractor. Whenever there were "issues", Nomi and Terri took care of them right away. Terri responds via text or e-mails lightning speed and is incredibly nice and friendly. Superb customer service...they should be a case study on how to approach construction jobs. I still can't believe how unstressful this renovation was. Thanks Nomi and Terri!

Our project was to create a master bedroom and bath, renovate the existing bathroom and add central HVAC. Nomi and her team were efficient, knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. I know nothing about construction. The city inspector voluntarily commented that the framing and electrical work done by Ernesto was top notch. All of Nomi's subcontractors' quality of work is exceptional. The plumbing, tile and stucco work - everyone was very knowledgeable and quality of work was exceptional. My husband and I are pretty picky. It was hard to believe that Noah's finisher was actually more anal that we were. If there is a such a thing ... we have beautiful walls! Just perfect! Damien did a fantastic job with the interior of our home. Infact I find myself trying to keep my home clean to Damien's standard. Terri was my lifeline in keeping me informed of the day to day activity. From the time I placed a frantic all to her from the city planning office to this week when I found some grout cracking she has always been there. A phone call, text or email was always answered. Always cheerful and friendly ... I think we were both a little sad to see our project come to an end. Just today ... Nomi insisted that if I ever had a concern about anything that I should call her. That they stand behind their work. I appreciate that. Best guarantee ever! We love our remodel. It was a dream come true for us. And Noah Construction made it happen. I would highly recommend them!

What can I say? Nomi and her crew were fantastic! Considering that we were on a time crunch and needed our newly purchased "fixer upper" to be renovated in 2 months, Nomi came through in the clutch, showing her true visionary skills in terms of interior design and contracting. Her team was always punctual and open to feedback, not to mention very into the details when it came to all the different aspects of doing a full-on renovation. It has been 2 months since the renovation and my wife and I are so pleased with the finished product. We highly recommend Nomi and her crew. Expect nothing but the best!

We had our main bathroom done by Noah and are very happy with the results. That has to be 20 words, any more and I will start charging.

This was not a fun experience. We had a downstairs bathroom completely redone, all old carpeting ripped out and replaced with laminate flooring, a light put over dining table, painting the entire downstairs and entry way, cutting down and retiling over the old brick fireplace, installing a granite hearth and granite countertop in the bathroom. I didn't quibble over the price because I wanted a really good job to be done. Total project for us with materials was about $65k. I'm not sure if they were simply distracted by a bigger project (bigger than 40k!) or what, but the GC had no idea what was going on. My husband and I started taking more and more time off of work to oversee the subcontractors. For example, I'd get a text that they were coming to put in the shower door and would reply back "Don't they have to grout the tile first?" I begged them to seal the marble tile in the bathroom. And they finally did. AFTER it was completely tracked up with dirt and stained. It now looks like a 20 year old floor instead of a beautiful new expensive marble one. Shall I go on? How about when they were cutting down the fireplace so that bookshelves could go on either side. And they didn't measure right and didn't leave enough room and I kept telling them they hadn't left enough room. Solution? Just jam the newly stained wooden bookshelves in and don't mind if you scrape them up badly. And leave them sticking out part way. AND, don't finish the tile at the bottom of the fireplace. Good grief. I could go on about the big hole left in the drywall in the garage, the poorly finished (unmatched in stain color) wooden stairs (that they charged extra for), and the missing baseboards. Apparently painting the upstairs hallway (also charged extra for) didn't include trim or door painting. The granite was not fun either. They put the floor in before the granite hearth but gave completely different measurements to the stone worker. He came and and just about had a cow but he and I worked it out. Although I'd asked multiple times to discuss the edge on the countertop in the bathroom before it was done, both verbally and in emails, they simply showed up one day with the countertop already finished. Workers would show up when they were not supposed to (like the shower pan tar guy on a Saturday at noon just as we were leaving) and not show up when they were supposed to. Sometimes they'd work weekends, like the painters, but the GC had no idea when that was happening, like no clue as to who was supposed to buy the paint. We were told that project would take 3-4 weeks. After 7 weeks, we ended up just firing them. I said tell me how much you want me to pay, I just can't stand this anymore. So would they have fixed things eventually? Maybe? I just couldn't take any more time off of work to oversee it. The project turned out okay. Some parts of it are great and we still need to get some of it redone. The subcontractors weren't bad if overseen. If you don't mind paying a general contractor and then doing all the work yourself, go for it.

Nomi, Tomer, Terri and everyone else at Noah Construction professional, courteous, skilled and conscientious people. Noah’s pricing was very competitive, and the quality of work is top notch. It helps on any project to be an active participant and I always felt my voice was heard and my concerns were promptly addressed. They were very much on schedule and budget. From the first meeting Nomi listened to what we wanted and created a design that we love. She took her time to come to my house several times to follow up with any changes that I made during the process and always had wonderful ideas to help me along. I loved she was so patient, knowledgeable and not pushy. Our kitchen is only 10 x 14 and without moving any walls Noms created a much more functional, open kitchen open to the family room. The office was always on top of things and helped everything proceed smoothly. Once the demolition started, all work proceeded steadily and without delay. Demolition was neat and quick which i've heard is very rare. Carpentry, tile work, window installation and quartz countertops work was precise. Plumbing, electrical and glass fixtures look great and function perfectly. The cost was very reasonable. Nomi referred me to her contact for appliances and we received an amazing deal. Noah Construction made the kitchen remodeling process a breeze. They are so responsive and communicative, which is so important when there are so many moving parts to a big job. I always knew who to expect and when. It was so much less intrusive and inconvenient than I anticipated. I’ve heard so many disaster stories and I was prepared to be living in a construction nightmare but fortunately we didn’t encounter any negative issues. Wonderful design, competitive pricing and reliable, conscientious, attentive and responsive professional services and results…couldn’t ask for anything more!

I moved into my place in 2005 with the idea that I would redo the outdated 70s kitchen and bathrooms and I finally got around to it at the end of Dec 2015. I'm very very happy with the work that was done and wish I did it sooner! The deciding factor for me was when I got in touch with Nomi. She (and her assistant Alina) was very responsive from the very beginning, from initial estimate request and throughout the 2 month project. I had contacted a few other contractors who didn't return calls and missed appointments. It doesn't give me confidence when people can't be bothered to show up the first time. Another thing is that Nomi is very on top of things and keeps the project moving. I'm a huge procrastinator (hello.. 10 years) so she was especially a good fit for me.Getting a project done can be very stressful but Nomi was able to reassure me every step of the way. I highly recommend!

My husband and I met with a few people for a quote to renovate our kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Noah construction was right in between the highest and the lowest quote so we felt this was the safest route to take. They were able to start construction very quickly and Nomi from Noah construction was easy to get in touch with whenever we had questions or concerns. We ended up going a bit over budget but she was always very clear about it and made sure we understood that what we wanted (like the kitchen countertop) was more expensive than the allowance and would make sure we knew by exactly how much. Overall the renovation took just under two months which was right within the estimate we were given at the beginning. We had a couple of issues with the quality of tile work especially in the master bathroom but they fixed things we pointed out. My only recommendation for easier communication would be to make sure to put things in writing (email) when you want some things changed or done so that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. We also got our hardwood floor refinished but the quote we got from their floor guy was way high and we ended up using another company and paid half the prize so I would keep that in mind if you are taking that route. Had we ended up using laminate we wouldn't have needed to look for another company. The kitchen and bathrooms came out beautiful, we didn't use an interior designer because we knew pretty much exactly what we wanted and had printed out photos to remind ourselves of that (it is hard not to get overwhelmed when you go look at tiles and counter tops, I highly recommend having a good idea of what it is you want and sticking to it, don't get side tracked!). Also we were able to bring samples to the house and look at them in that setting which you MUST do because things can look much darker than you think. Overall it was a fairly smooth experience, we have never renovated before so can't really compare it to a previous one. I am sure a renovation never feels like a cakewalk, especially when you are pregnant during it, so I feel fairly confident in saying this was most likely one of the easy ones.

I was very impressed with Nomi at Noah Design. She and all of her teams showed up on time from the first meeting to final inspection. The job was finished on time and on budget. Each part of my kitchen remodel was done well and when something was not up to standard, it was redone with very little conversation and at no additional cost. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I had high hopes when I met with this contractor, after reading many positive reviews. I made an appointment and took the time to meet with Nomi. She came to my home and we went over all the details of my desired kitchen remodel. We discussed a future visit to her showroom to look at samples. I felt good about our meeting. And then I never heard from her again. Perhaps she was just busy? After 3 weeks, I reached out to remind her that I had yet to receive an estimate for the project. No response at all. Nothing.

Past two years we have been looking for a contractor that can give us ideas and good price in remodeling my kitchen and dining area. I came across Noah Construction in Houzz.com. After reading their reviews and projects they have completed decided to give them a call. Naomi came out to my house and gave me her ideas which we really liked and decided to have them to do the job. She listened and went out of her way to make sure everything is done properly and the way I like it. She is very professional and easy to talk to. My kitchen remodeling took 6 weeks to complete as promised. It seemed too long but the end result is what matters. I am very happy with my kitchen and would recommend anyone want to remodel their house.

After taking a number of bids to work on a number of issues with our recent home purchase, the best thing about Noah Construction is their communication. Throughout the process Nomi responded promptly to my calls and was quick to make any adjustments I requested. It wasn't all perfect but anytime there was an issue Nomi was willing to find a solution to make my wife and I happy. This is our first home and our first renovation so having an open communication process with us made all the difference. Additionally her team does excellent work and was able to meet our deadlines. Would recommend to anyone looking for a contractor!

I am very pleased with the remodeling of my bathroom. Ori was really helpful in obtaining supplies to renovate the bathroom. We discussed what I wanted and we came to an agreement . I appreciated the easy communication with both Ori and his crew. Serjio brought a designers eye to the project. If I had concerns they would be answered in a prompt manner. I also appreciated a written estimate. I am very happy with my bathroom( It's beautiful) and the Company. I will definitely call them again for any new projects in the future.

Folks, look no further than Noah Construction & Design! Nomi and Ori just completed a remodel of our 1 bedroom condo. What was supposed to be just a kitchen upgrade turned into a living and master bathroom remodel as well, and we couldn’t be more pleased! I met with Nomi initally after meeting with half a dozen other contractors first, and from the moment Nomi stepped into our dated condo I had a good feeling about her. She listened to my wish list and from that, she made some great design suggestions that worked really well. My fiancé and I had never done a remodel before so I asked her before we started if she would “hold my hand” through the process. And she pretty much did just that; meeting us at different places to help pick out our cabinets and tiles, always making great suggestions along the way, and making me feel comfortable with my final decisions, etc. (I know I probably drove her crazy with my constant texting!) And about that, she and Ori were always a phone call or text away and they always got back to me when I had questions and concerns. Concerns and some minor issues did come up, something I learned quickly with any remodel, it’s just the nature of the beast, but Nomi and Ori handled these few hiccups with professionalism and humor, which I really appreciated. We are so grateful for our new place and would recommend Noah Construction & Design to anyone needing a great contractor! In fact, we already have and I’m so happy some of our friends are already working with Nomi and Ori. We’ll be calling them again when we’re ready to tackle another project.

We hired Noah Construction & Design to complete an extensive remodel our garage. Ori has been attentive, respectful and responsive throughout the entire process. To date they have been on time and on budget. We couldn't be happier with the workmanship. Two giant thumbs up.

Going into this experience my wife and I were both very nervous. We were first time home owners and this was our first time taking on a major renovation. We interviewed a total of 5 contractors. Noah wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive, but they came to the meeting prepared and most importantly seemed genuinely excited about taking on our project. Nomi, the project manager, and her crew hit every important mark: they were reasonable with their quote, they were timely from start to finish, they were accountable for any mistakes (don't get nervous, every project has them), and most of all, she was always a phone call/text/or email away. Nomi even made several trips to our house to go over the progress and often would bring samples to make important design decisions. All in all, we renovated pretty much our whole first floor, excluding the bathroom, but including the removal of 2 load bearing walls. The project took about 8 weeks, 1.5 of which was spent getting permits. Take it from me, if u live in Westlake Village, it's very possible you'll have to do this in Calabasas...this should save u some time!!

Noah Construction and Design gave me very professional work. They responded within 2 days of being contacted and showed up for that appointment and all other appointments on a time. All employees and company were very professional, knowledgeable and communicated through every single step of the project. They made me feel educated enough to make all the decisions I needed to make during the project. I was offered guidance in choosing colors, material, style etc. It was truly a great experience. My expectation of a company I employ is to receive great quality, deadlines to be met, good communication, and professionalism. Noah Construction and design met all of my expectations. We just wrapped our construction with Noah Construction. Working with Ori was an absolute pleasure. My husband and I just bought out first home and we were eager to make some changes before moving in. We repainted the whole interior and exterior, reconstructed the fireplace, redid our staircase, added window frames, replaced front steps and the list goes on. We had an excellent experience working with Noah Construction and Design on our 40+ year old kitchen remodel. Nomi has a great eye for design and always provided the right amount of direction while helping us refine and realize our vision for a dream kitchen with a tasteful look. Nomi provided multiple options for our layout and once we agreed on the basics she took us shopping for appliances, cabinets, flooring, countertop, backsplash and fixtures. Nomi steered us to just the right places to find elements that suited our taste and no time was wasted in finding exactly what we wanted. Since she also has great relationships with the vendors we were pleased with the level of attention they gave as well as the reasonable prices and discounts we were offered. By the end of the day, we had made all of our choices and the deliveries were scheduled. Work on our kitchen started on Monday, 3-Nov. and by the end of the first week demo, rough electrical and plumbing and the city inspection was completed. In week two framing and drywall were completed and floors were installed. In the third week we saw the custom cabinets installed (less doors), ceiling and wall paint completed and detailed measurements taken for countertops. By the end of week four, a 4-day work week due to Thanksgiving btw, the countertops, sink, faucets and backsplash were done and all the new appliances installed. In the last week, cabinet doors, handles, baseboards, molding and finish/touchup paint and final city inspection took place. We moved back into the kitchen on Saturday, 6-Dec - very quick indeed. The entire project was obviously very professionally managed and executed. Nomi kept us well informed as to status and next steps while Ori managed his construction teams and subcontractors efficiently with no wasted effort and beautiful results. Nomi, Ori, Damian, Kobe, Daniel and all of the Noah Construction craftsman and subs were a pleasure to work with. They are trustworthy, hard working, and detail oriented. We hired Noah Construction to do a gut renovation on our kitchen, which dominoed into a couple of additional projects. Nomi and Daniel redesigned / reimagined our kitchen area to meet our growing family needs. They also were flexible and reasonable with the additional projects that we threw their way. Ultimately, the team (Nomi, Daniel, Ori, Damien) at Noah Construction understood the vision we wanted to achieve and worked with us to execute it. Nomi has relationships with providers of everything we needed, and she and her crew were timely and efficient and very careful that everything was right, down to the smallest detail. Noah construction with the guidance of Nomi has made this remodeling project better than any other I have had. This was a out of town project for me and Nomi made it possible so I didn't have to be there all the time. Her sense of style and knowledge really helped me put together colors, tiles and flooring. In fact I left it to her to pick most of these and it turned out beautiful. If she didn't know something she will admit to it and she will find out and have an answer for you. She also answered every email I sent her. She took care of everything from getting all permits required to dealing with problems that came up (even with the neighbor). Her construction team and the sub contractors she used were excellent. They took the time to cover everything from the furniture to the flooring. Each time they left, they made a point to clean up. My project started with 2 bathrooms remodel, flooring for upstairs, redoing the fireplace, adding a wet bar and some electrical. I ended up with a complete kitchen remodel which included knocking down a wall. My budget came to what was quoted but I kept on adding a lot of little things so she charged me accordingly which was fair. It was a lot of fun working with Nomi. I found her to be honest and reliable and she had a instinct about what I like. That was important because she had to make a couple of decisions on her own. My wife found Noah Construction here on Houzz and set up an appointment for us to meet with Nomi Hazen. I was a bit dubious because my preference has always been to go with a personal recommendation over someone found on a website, but I decided to keep an open mind. We had used my choices for the roof, the exterior painting, and the retaining wall, so it was only fair. What struck me in our initial meeting (and throughout the project) was Nomi’s unflagging enthusiasm for design and construction. I also liked the questions she asked. She was always trying to get at what WE would be happy with; never imposing something. This was in sharp contrast to some of the other design/builders we interviewed. I must admit that it helped a lot that we shared a taste for clean, simple design (that’s what drew my wife’s interest in the first place). The best designer whose taste is fundamentally not aligned with yours will always present some difficulties I would think. Not the case here. I don’t want this review to turn into a book, because it easily could, so I will try to cut to the chase. We were very, very happy with Nomi and Noah Construction and will enthusiastically refer them to our friends and families. We chose to expand the scope of the project once we got underway. We weren’t pressured to do so, but came to the conclusion that it would save us a lot of money in the long run. We were planning to do the full kitchen remodel further down the road, but realized the compromises we would be making by going that way and decided to do it all now (except the appliances). Slotting in the upgraded appliances when we can afford to do so will be very easy. Why I liked Noah Construction: 1. Nomi Hazen. She is smart, savvy, and budget-conscious. She is consistently accessible throughout the project and as committed to our satisfaction on day 60 as she was on day 1. She never pressured us to go beyond our original estimate. She was always our advocate. There were a handful of times when we had an issue with how her sub-contractors performed and she always had them come back and make it right at no additional expense. She was just always on top of things. Stopping by to check in nearly every day. Knowing when to be charming and when to fight when dealing with inspectors and vendors. This sounds minor, but if your contractor pisses off the inspector it can make your life miserable (and expensive). It pays to know when to hold your tongue. 2. The Noah Construction employees. The main workers were unfailingly competent, considerate, honest, and clean. 3. The quality of the work. I honestly feel like they never cut corners. You can see drywall seams in many places in our house, but the walls and ceilings that Noah did are impeccably smooth. Just perfect. Plaster and sand, plaster and sand; there are no shortcuts to smooth walls. The doors are hung straight and true. One threshold didn’t look so great, but I decided to wait and see and said nothing. A few days later Damian had completely redone it beautifully. Of course, this relates to number 1 & 2. The workers are clearly encouraged by Nomi to take whatever time they need to do the work to their own high standards. I don’t know what else to say. If you have any questions I will answer them. Although our first experience with Nomi was a success, our second time was a most unpleasant experience. . We hired her to design and build a large two way fireplace in our living/ family room. We also needed canned lights installed, dimmer switches and a door added into a door way. Her boyfriend talked us into putting in a curved masonry wall in our back yard with lighting. The wall was a disaster. (see photos) She let us down by not being on our property during critical days of construction. Unknown family members and subcontractors showed without knowing who they were. When I pointed out the substandard quality of work was not up to her reputation whatsoever (horrible wall, drywall was visible in doorway, wall texture uneven, dimmers not functioning) The curved masonry wall looked so bad, other workers we had hired at the time brought it to our attention. We had the wall removed and stopped any other work in our back yard. We repeatedly asked for her invoice to be itemized and was turned down. We never should have started the project without this. We were able to get the fireplace done by designing it ourself with the tile worker directly. Her crew came out in the end to re-do the door and wall texture, which are fine now, but cost us time. The dimmer switches are still not working. It was a huge disappointment to have a contractor that we worked with previously not stand behind their work. We were left having to pay for more than half of the wall that was removed and left damage to our yard. Due to the stress of the disrespect in our home, the substandard work , and having to pay for something we don't have, we would not recommend this contractor.

I hired Noah Construction to remove two load-bearing walls between my kitchen and living/dining rooms. Initially, Nomi visited and provided me with an estimate. I was impressed with Nomi's energy and knowledge. Although I received lower estimates from several other contractors, I decided to use Noah Construction primarily because of the immediate connection I felt with Nomi. i was confident that she would do a good job managing the overall project. I was not disappointed. The construction crew showed up early every day and worked extremely hard. There was not one lazy worker among them. I have NEVER seen so many people working so diligently for so long. They arrived early and stayed late. I was told the job would take two weeks. The crew got it done in three to four days. Additionally, Noah Construction installed a 6ft sliding glass patio door where previously there had only been a little 30 inch door that opened inward into my dining room area. It was so awkward. The crew cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Everyone was super nice and courteous. When small issues surfaced, Nomi sprung into action making sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I am now contemplating an entire kitchen remodel and new hardwood floors. Nomi has already provided me with some beautiful design ideas. I would highly recommend this company.

I had Noah Construction build a 200 sq. ft. loft in my home. Ori was the contractor that I worked with, and I can't say enough good things about him. He and his crew of workers were on time (3 weeks--start to finish), on budget, and they did quality work. The estimate provided to me was well below any of the other contractors in my area by $2000. I normally don't write reviews or give recommendations on anything, but these guys were so great to work with that I've broken my rule concerning online reviews. Having work done on a house can be a nightmare, but Noah Construction made the process easy and affordable. The next time that I do a remodel or an addition, I'll use them.

As problems arose, as they always do, they kept us informed and proposed solutions. Out of a few contractors we spoke with regarding our project, she was the most responsive and worked the hardest to research, get a quote and make it happen. She was a little more expensive than our other quotes but as we expected, it was because she uses top-notch materials and workers. She's a great project manager-- very communicative, and stays on top of everything. We are glad we hired her for the job. We installed a wall with sliding barn doors between our living room and bedroom in our downtown loft. We also installed a single matching sliding door to the second bedroom. These were custom wood doors with semi-transparent glass, stained to match our existing finishes. Everything came out great. Our 3 workers were skilled, friendly, and respectful, and they did a wonderful job protecting our home and cleaning up each day (the project took a little over 1 week). We had an odd space with strict design requirements and Noah delivered our vision exactly and beautifully. Highly recommend.

I hired this construction company after the completed an update on my existing bathroom, to build a new construction. This new construction consisted of the removal of an old garage, and the construction of a new garage with a one bedroom apartment above. The complete construction took approximately 3 months, I was complemented by neighbors and other contractors as to the how well built the foundation and framework.The worked with me as to staying on budget. We did go over budget, but nowhere near what others have encountered during construction.

I had my bathroom completely remodeled. They conducted a demolition of the tub, toilet, vanity, shower and a dividing wall. They hauled away all the material. The shower was retiled from floor to ceiling, installed a Jacuzzi tub, new toilet, vanity, mirror, and new hardware throughout the bathroom. They also tiled the floor and per my request tiled the walls all the way around at a four foot height. The rest of the walls were painted and recessed lighting was installed. The project manager Nomi was very hands on and helped me select materials and color schemes. They also retiled my entire kitchen floor and installed recessed lighting in my living room. They were very professional and finished on time and on budget. I would recommend them to friends and family without a doubt.

We hired Nomi Hazen at Noah Construction for our bathroom renovations in 2011-2012 over other contractors because I liked her dynamic energy and honesty about budget and timing. Nomi’s most valuable asset is putting together a talented team to provide the physical and technical work required (plumbing, tiling, electrical, etc). They went out of their way to make sure that every detail was seamless. Everything in Nomi’s quotes are itemized and detailed which is very helpful as it allows for you to purchase the decorative fixtures yourself, if you so desire. They are then calculated out of the final cost. Since I had a vision for our bathrooms, Nomi worked with me to get the best deals possible. Additionally, with Nomi, you don't feel like you are being over charged for things you don't know about. Price-wise, her quote was very reasonable considering the scope of work that needed to be done.
