Charmscapes

The work has been done for months, but every-time I come home I'm reminded how pleased I am with the work Rob and crew from Charmscapes did in the front and back yards. Although I live in the heart of the city, I am lucky enough to be surrounded by green-spaces - small but cherished. I needed to replace the fence in back, and wanted to replace some rotten beds in front with a terrace that would help erosion control. I was also sick of my oversized puppy tearing up the lawn and tracking in mud. Rob took my concerns (including cost) and was able to effortlessly incorporate design elements that addressed all the landscaping issues we discussed, and did so in a creative way that optimized my planting and green space along with adding some creative functional components that improved the space enormously in ways I hadn't even anticipated. They were a small tight-knit crew that were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. It was a pretty big job, but they were patient and professional when I changed my mind about some things, and came back without any hassle or undue cost to ensure every last detail and unforeseen issue was solved. Overall - they did excellent work and made the process as painless as possible.

We just had our backyard redone by Rob and Sascha and their crew, and are very happy with the results. They were a pleasure to work with, and we really appreciated their willingness to work with our budget and interest in finding designs that allowed for drainage and use of local plants.

We are absolutely thrilled with the landscaping work done by Charmscapes! Prior to the work, we had a rowhouse backyard that provided space, but was not very usable. Rob and Sasha took our basic idea and designed a fantastic patio, built-in planters, and fences. The construction team was fast, efficient, and performed very high-quality work. We were in constant communication during the project to discuss ideas and the progress of the work and ways to save costs on the project, where possible. We now have a fantastic space for ourselves and for entertaining friends.

Charmscapes designed and built a jewel of backyard for our Baltimore row home. It was a tiny space tucked in behind a narrow walking alley. The project entailed landscape design, the removal of the stump and assorted debris, grading, a permanent herb garden and flower bed, built in benches, rain barrel, and rough slate floor. The project took about a week and they worked through some of the hottest days of the summer. I'm very happy with the work that was done and as we've had a few cooler days we've had a chance to enjoy the space for the first time since we moved into the house.

From the moment we talked to and finally met Rob we knew we were in good hands! The knowledge of our area on our first call, the ideas he brought to the meeting to scope out our project, and even down to the plants and materials that he picked out! We love our newly transformed backyard and had a breaking in party just days after they were finished since we were so excited!
