When I decided to remodel, I looked at about 50 companies. My list came from Yelp, Angi, Yellow Pages, and Google. I narrowed it down to five and scheduled them for interview. I was looking for a remodeler who would give everything to me straight. No lies, no BS. I wanted someone large enough to have a designer and a manager assigned to my job who could keep things moving without making excuses. CHI Renovation did exactly what I was looking for. I can attest that the people they assigned to my job were outstanding. Tops on the list are Designer Julie Hermanson and Project Manager Gene Leonard. Julie did an amazing job of settling our nerves while helping us with the design of our kitchen. And Gene was here for us at every step in the project. He dealt with the suppliers and held the workers feet to the fire. Each time we called him during the project he answered his call on the first ring. Really dedicated. I knew in advance that there are supply chain issues. I heard about homeowners getting caught in a mess and getting stuck in half done kitchen for months. CHI said they would not begin work until their project manager personally viewed each part. This is exactly what happened. (I received no compensation for this review.)

Had a great experience working with Chi Renovation. I wanted to remodel my kitchen but wanted to go really modern and do something different. After years of having a white kitchen, I wanted a black kitchen with wood tones. We struggled to find a contractor that would listen to our ideas or a contractor that provided great design ideas when we couldn't articulate what we wanted. Ana was great at designing our kitchen and maximizing the layout. Our project manager Gene was very detailed oriented and was present throughout the project. If I had questions or concerns he made sure to address all of them so that I could be happy with the kitchen. Gene and his team made sure to put so much attention to detail to things I didn't even think about like matching the outlets to all the different colors that we had through the kitchen. The amount of storage that we have now because of the cabinet and drawer options they provided is crazy. All the cabinets are aligned correctly, all the outlets are up to code and they managed to get us an island that was larger than the one we had previously. If you are looking to renovate your kitchen and want superior service, please go to Chi Renovation. I can cannot express how satisfied I am with my kitchen, especially when I compare it to the previous kitchen that was in my home. It was the basic white flip kitchen that had drawers that didn't align properly and had little to no storage.

I’m incredibly happy with how my projects turned out with Chi Renovation and Design. The team fully remodeled my primary and guest bathrooms and completed some other lighting and flooring work in the main living area of my condo. High degree of professionalism from start to finish with everyone I worked with - in particular Ariana on design and Gene leading the construction. Thanks to the design work my spaces not only look much better but are more functional as well. The only challenge was the long lead time on materials which caused a long wait between design and construction phases but that was outside of the team’s control and was ultimately worth the wait. I’d definitely recommend Ariana, Gene, and Chi Renovation & Design.

My wife and I were looking for a bathroom remodel from a jacuzzi tub that took up 3/4s of our main bathroom, to a walk in shower. We wanted something done with a reasonable budget, professionally, and timely. Chi Renovation was our solution. Toufic helped us find the perfect design and worked with us every step of the way, making life easier for two working professionals on the go. Gene ran the operation professionally, walked me through any questions I had, addressed all my concerns, and ran a top notch team throughout the process. He hit the budget and the time frame that was promised as well as making sure the project was built on solid foundations. I cannot recommend the company, Toufic, or Gene highly enough. This is a great company who works with very amazing people. No issues and would definitely call them when we need another project completed.

Over the last two years, Chi Renovation has helped us transform our home. We have had two large projects managed and delivered by Chi. We gutted three bathrooms (primary, on suite, guest), refinished our kitchen cabinets, changed all the kitchen stone work, added a second island, removed a wall and re-tiled our front porch. The work completed by Chi was excellent and definitely met our expectations. Our project manager, Tom, was excellent to work with. He spent hours with us going over design choices, explaining engineering elements, providing examples of similar work and helping us throughout both projects. Our first project with Chi started during the pandemic. We gutted our guest bathroom and made kitchen upgrades (including replacing counters, backsplashes, and fixtures). Tom helped us through all the major decisions and the end results were excellent. In February 2021, (after the epic Chicago snow storm), our kitchen ceiling collapsed from water damage. This event kicked off the second project with Chi. First off, Tom and Chi were with us every step of the way to help with stopping the water leak, remediating the problem and then ultimately incorporating fixing our kitchen along with additional work in our second project (two bathrooms, kitchen, front porch). It is extremely hard to know who to trust in the contracting business. Before working with Chi, we talked to friends and reviewed multiple websites. We ultimately picked Chi Renovation because their online reviews were great (and specific) and our first walkthrough with Tom to discuss our potential project was impressive. He was thorough, had great ideas and really cared about what changes/work would add value versus what would not. After two large projects, multiple accomplishments, countless changes and obstacles, we are beyond happy with the outcome and work delivered. Chi was professional, clear, consistent and honest form start to finish. We would not hesitate using Chi again and/or recommending them to our family and friends.

After living in our Uptown condo for 5 years, and being forced to stare at the same construction grade finishes in our bathrooms during this pandemic, my husband and I decided we needed an upgrade. We did extensive research and after several quotes from a variety of firms, Chi was the winner. Julie and Gene were dreams to work with. All we knew going into it was that we wanted a spa like but masculine bathroom, but the designs Julie created for us were beyond anything we had ever imagined. This was one of the main reasons we went with an all-in-one firm. While our design aesthetic is good, we really wanted something that made visitors know that a professional was involved. Julie and Gene listened to all of our requests, helped us trim costs where possible, and also helped us push ourselves out of our comfort zone. The results were better than we could ever have hoped. Not to mention the quality of the work, Marek's attention to detail was spectacular. Ever finish was perfectly placed down to the smallest tile and run of trim. Can't wait to work with Chi Reno for our next project!

Tom Tishby who was the Project Manager and led the crew of the Chi Renovation and Design on our project involving complete remodel of our kitchen and the powder room have done an outstanding job. Our kitchen remodel project involved removal of the wall to open up the galley kitchen, this required rerouting of the water pipes and installing new plumbing and wiring system. The crew worked efficiently they were very professional and neat while we were living in the apartment during the construction. The products of their work were outstanding in quality and precision. They met all the deadlines and provided courteous service. Communication was excellent throughout the project. Another important factors is that the crew and Tom Tishby in particular worked really well with our building engineer and manager making sure all the paperwork was an order the use of the service elevator and disposal was done according to building policies. Overall I’m very pleased with Tom Tishby and Chi Renovation and Design and would to continue working with them again on our future remodeling projects.

Just completed a kitchen remodel with Chi Renovation and am very pleased with the results. The team was friendly, professional and worked hard to keep communication and schedules flowing throughout the pandemic. Mishneeta was calm, gracious and flexible, willing to work with my design ideas. Eric coordinated the construction team well and was skilled in assessing issues before I noticed them. He was always upbeat, respectful, understanding and ever-available (texts throughout the weekends and at night). He arranged for refunds on extra material and went above and beyond to ensure that loose ends were tied up to my complete satisfaction. He made what can be an arduous process very positive. They are timely, considerate, satisfactory professional. They are very connected with all the retail outlets around town that helped us pick out our quality fixtures and tiles.

Tom Tishbey was my PM and he went above and beyond his duty to help navigate through insurance claim issues. His ideas on interior design and perspective were always right! I was an out of town client and needed to trust that he would personally oversee this project and he did. I was worried and scared from the beginning but Tom helped me trust him and proved to me that he was a man of his word. He takes great pride in his work! I would use him again and again! I feel like we are now friends!

We worked with CHI renovations on a major kitchen remodel and we are very happy with the result. To give you an idea of the scope of the project, we had to remove walls, reroute a main water line pipe, completely redo electrical, reroute HVAC, extending a ceiling, building an island, ... basically a complete gut and remodel. The whole process took about three months and the demo with remodeling taking roughly 1 and 1/2 months. We first met up with the kitchen designer Mishneeta Chopra where we were asked to provide examples of kitchens that we really like. We really appreciate Mishneeta coming up with multiple designs that exceeded our expectations because we have not idea what kind of kitchen we wanted. Mishneeta also helped us with material selections and provided suggestions on what goes well with the design. Another huge reason we went with Chi Renovation was that we did not want the hassle of finding, hiring, and managing contractors. Our project manager Gene made sure the process was as smooth as possible. From bringing in the demo crew, plumbers, electricians, carpenter, painter...etc, all of these things were handled by him. I can't imagine how difficult it would have been to have to deal with this stuff ourselves. It was also nice that Gene also inspected the work that was done by contractors and made sure it was done correctly and to our liking. The only minor complaint is we would have liked more communication on contractor scheduling. For example, it would have been nice to get a weekly schedule instead of just a few days notice. It ended up working out well because we worked from home the whole time, but I could maybe see this being a potential issue for those that do not have that option. Overall, we would definitely recommend CHI renovations (and already have to family and friends!). We looked at many other places that could have been a little cheaper but no way it would have been the same quality. You do not want buyers remorse to save a few bucks when doing any extensive remodel.

I would like to express my appreciation for Dorian, the gentleman that took my call. I am in need of a basement remodel and navigating through so many companies is extremely frustrating. However, I did find Chi Renovation through my creative google searching and found fantastic reviews, so I gave them a shot. Unfortunately, they do not serve my area, but their work looks amazing. Dorian took the time to help me with other suggestions in my area. He was so patient and detailed in his questions. I can't express how important it is to write reviews when dealing with a professional like Dorian, especially in these times. We did a massive kitchen renovation with CHI Renovation and I'm so grateful we chose them. Ron, our project manager, was the key to getting the project done relatively on time (of course we added stuff as we went along) and with an eye for detail. They do such quality work, but they also manage the project from start to finish with ease, which for business owners and parents like ourselves, was a dream. We are thrilled with our space and how it has transformed the first floor of our house. Not only that, it has changed how our family uses the space and created a haven for us during COVID. I would not hesitate to work with Ron and the team at CHI Renovation again.

My husband and I worked with CHI Renovations to turn one of our 2nd floor bedrooms into a master bath/closet and we are so glad we did. The bulk of the work was on the bathroom and it turned out so much better than we could have imagined. Our house is older so it was important to keep the aesthetic of our home while putting in a more updated bathroom and our design team was able to help us select the right pieces to make that happen. We cannot speak highly enough about working with our project manager, Gene. The work happened during the height of the pandemic and he made sure all workers had masks and kept us updated on any delays that occurred due to the availability of materials. We hit a few unforeseen bumps (expected to happen with a house 100+ years old) and Gene walked us through each step of the way to figure things out. He was great about making sure our questions were answered and keeping the project on track. It's been a little over 3 months since our project was completed and we are more than happy with the results. We'd happily work with the CHI team again if we decide to do another remodel.

We did a fairly major project with Chi Reno recently. Kitchen gut, railings, powder room, fireplace and TV nook. We were really pleased with all aspects of the project from design with Mishneeta to execution with Eric. Mishneeta was helpful and thoughtful in the design process. Understanding our asthetic first and then suggesting options to help us zoom in on final choices. Never pressuring but always ready to help guide us when needed. A really pleasant person to work with, as well. As we moved into construction/execution, Eric become our best ally. As anyone in construction knows, there are always adjustments/changes that have to be made to original plans. Or simply unexpected challenges that might pop up. ie....wait..there's a STACK running in that part of the wall that we want to move??? As project manger, Eric was ready to suggest options and solutions and always kept a steady hand on the progress, keeping us well informed of the next steps. Additionally, Eric was always bringing a critical eye to the work being done and ensuring the crew course corrected as needed. Bottom line is we are happy with all aspects of the project and would definitely recommend Chi Reno. Cheers!

This was our first renovation and to say we were nervous after hearing stories from family and friends is an understatement. Our master bath was the original bath from 1956 and it showed. Lien our designer could sense our apprehension and walked us through every step of the consultation and design process and helped ease our anxiety. Ron, the PM and our contractor were very communicative and kept us informed of every step of the process. The finished product is beyond our expectations. We now have a modern bathroom that is stylish, efficient and a sanctuary. We'll definitely use Chi Renovation and Design again for our next project.

Customer service was really great! I didn't end up working with this company because Dorian was very upfront and helpful to me about the scope of my project.

I worked with them to remodel two full baths as well as add some built in mudroom storage. Both our designer Julie Hermanson and project manager Eric Bukowski were great...easy to work with and professional throughout the process. Julie’s designs were spot on and the end results were even better than we had imagined. Because we were living out of town during the construction phase of the project, Eric did a good job of keeping us updated on the progress and on any issues that arose. Start to finish the project took a little longer than we would have liked but that was due to Covid restrictions. Overall I would highly recommend Chicago Renovation and Design- streamlined, organized process with beautiful results!

I don't often write reviews, but it's important for me to single this group out and make it known that they do the job right! I've had countless experiences with fly-by-night contractors who don't really focus on the details. The Chi Renovation and Design team did an outstanding job of walking me through the quoting process, explaining every single line item, why each line item was important to incorporate into the job, and setting expectations of delivery of services. I've lived in Chicago for 13 years, and these guys take the cake. I hate to use a common phrase here, but it's 100% true; if you want it done professionally, this team will get it done!

We are very pleased with how the basement including bathroom and laundry turned out. This is doubly true since my sons are now home and taking their classes on line out of the basement. The space is functioning very well and warm and pleasant to be in. Its been a real godsend to have the extra room at this time. The team was thoughtful regarding the unique needs of our project. They respected our budget. They were professional, punctual and communicative. They addressed any concerns that we had. I would recommend ron and his team very highly

When we moved to Chicago in 2017 we knew we wanted to live in downtown, so we found this beautiful condo that needed some improvements. For us hiring Chi Renovation was no brainer, after interviewing ~10 other contractors we knew that we wanted to give our “home” renovation to them, including the kitchen, fireplace, and 3 bathrooms, and we picked them over all, specially because of Tom’s approach to understanding our design and functionality needs of our project +price wise was way more affordable than the other contractors we interviewed. The rest of the team from designers, to the project manager, sub-contractors and the office were very nice and pleasant to work with. There were a couple of issues with the pressure of the water in the shower and a crack in a wall of the fire place, after finishing the project, but thanks to the office manager, Julia who called to check on us those were solved immediately. As a former interior designer and the experience of remodeling some other of our previous homes, I knew Chi Renovation was going to be a good fit for us. So If you are as “picky” like us (specially me :P) I highly recommend you hire them for your remodel project!

I hired Chi Renovation to do a gut renovation of my master bathroom and they executed my design and vision perfectly. All the contracting work was very well done and the materials were high quality. Some of the coordination and timing could have been improved, but overall it was a successful renovation and I am very happy with the end result.

I hired Chi Renovation to do a gut renovation of my kitchen and guest bathroom and the work turned very well done. Their quote came in right at my price range and the company worked with IKEA and Semihandmade unlike a couple of other organizations I researched. This allowed me to keep costs down but still customize things like cabinet color and configuration. The project took a little longer than I anticipated after some unexpected hurdles with our materials but Ron, my project manager, was extremely responsive and kept the project on track. I'm happy with the final product and would definitely work with Chi Renovation again in the future.

My wife and I hired Chi Renovation to renovate our kitchen and we could not recommend them highly enough. We were expecting a baby and were on a tighter time frame to complete our kitchen project before our son was born. We interviewed a few different companies and Chi Renovation was the one that listened to our concerns and said they could complete the project within our timeline. In fact the other companies said they would have trouble completing everything by the end of October when Chi Renovation said they could by the mid-September (and they delivered). Every step of the way they continued to listen to our thoughts. Our project manager Ron discussed every step along the way and provided reasons why they were doing what they were doing, which gave my wife and I a lot of piece of mind. Also the contractors that came in were amazing. Extremely courteous, and we were shocked at how fast they were able to complete everything with the highest quality job. We cannot recommend Chi Renovation enough and have already done so to all of our neighbors and friends. Just wanted to get the word out further about a contracting company that is truthful and sticks to their promises!

I had an unfinished space that I wanted completed. I decided to hire Chi Renovation because of their positive online reviews and price for the work. Ron was the project manager, and he and his team did a terrific job completing the work to my expectations and on time. Whenever I had any questions or concerns, he was easy to reach by phone, text, and/or email. The end result was better than we had hoped. We will definitely reach out to them for any future work that we may need.

We had two different projects with Chi Renovation. They first completed our basement. They did perfect a job finishing the entire basement and bathroom. Tom construction manager kept us up to date with all the different tasks and all the different contractors and were always on time. All work was done cleanly and workmanship was perfect. During construction we had some changes and Tom was always accommodating and incorporated our ideas. Once basement was completed and a year later we decided to add bar area and Chi Renovation was the first on our list. Again they did perfect job designing and building the perfect sports fan bar, making the basement a perfect sports fan basement.

Chi Renovation and Design discovered creative storage solutions for our finished basement. We love the hidden closets and hinged railing that swings out to accommodate large pieces of furniture. The company communicated well with us and we have recommended them to our friends and neighbors.

I was looking for a place after deciding on Scavolini for my cabinets. I was referred to Chi Renovation from a Scavolini rep. Ron came out to provide me with a quote and I appreciated his offer; throughout the entire process he was a great project manager. He clearly explained every step of the process and what to expect. They knew how to work with the European metric system and worked well alongside the Scavolini team. A very important note, Ron was always in contact with the condo association and kept everyone up to date on the status of the project. Made sure the scheduling worked with the building and met all condo association requirements. I would definitely use Chi Renovation again for future projects.

Every time I enter my kitchen I rue the day I called them into my condo. They were pushy and aggressive. Did not listen to anything I had to say about what I wanted. Were condescending and thought they knew what was good for me. They pretended that they understood what I needed and once the final product was delivered - IT WAS NOTHING LIKE WHAT I WANTED OR WHAT I TOLD THEM I WANTED. To add insult to injury they could not even get it done within the time frame that they initially provided when they first took the down payment from me. And when I decided to complain the answer I received was that this is what I agreed to per the contract and that they never provide timelines on completion. In reality it was not per contract and now I am stuck with a kitchen I did not want along with workmanship which is inadequate. They also just plain lied about the timelines and people should just be aware of this outfit. When I gave them a check for the down payment the project manager specifically stated that the project would be completed in 3 month. In reality it took 5 months and was not what I wanted. Just at a total loss on what I can do to even fix the problem as chi renovation & design has not been helpful or empathetic. AND, their response below is a fabrication. These safeguards do not exist. They know me. They are playing the game of deflect; delay; deny; deceive; discredit.

We used Chi Renovation and Design to completely remove our old kitchen and put in a new one that would look better and would be more functional for our family. We gave our designer, Larry, our wish list, and he came back with a gorgeous design that incorporated everything we wanted. It came at a higher price than we wanted, so we worked with Larry to change things around a bit - changing the size of our island and eliminating the very top row of small cabinets - to get within a better price range. Once we were ready to move forward, most everything went smoothly. Our interior designer joined us in a meeting with Larry to select the cabinet designs and colors, and choose counters and cabinet hardware. Before demo started, our project manager, Gene, even asked us how early we would like the crew to begin because he knew we had kids and that mornings can be hectic - how thoughtful! The only real hiccup during the project was that the island was damaged when it was received, and they had to have it remade. It added a little time to the overall schedule, but our project manager, Gene, was able to readjust to move on to other parts of the kitchen while the island was redone. We had a couple of weeks of a working kitchen without an island, but that was so much better than no sink and no stove while we paused the whole project. We love our new kitchen and can't recommend working with Chi Reno & Design highly enough!

Originally we received 5 different quotes for our project, which consisted of removing a few walls, all new flooring for about 1600 sq ft, a new kitchen, and all new closet doors. Chi Renovation came in budget-wise right in the middle, but Ron, the project manager was so great, and knowledgeable that we decided to go with them. We didn't have a waterline on the wall with the fridge, and to make this happen our building wanted us to put in soffits, but Ron worked through it with the building as he knew we didn't like that option. We also had a phone line in our kitchen that could not be moved since it feeds the entire tier of our building, this would have meant we would have to cut out a hole for this in our new backsplash, again, Ron figured out a way to rotate this, which meant that we would not have to cut our new backsplash. Like every project you know there will be hiccups, and each time there was a hiccup Ron was there with options on how to fix it, he was very concerned with making us happy no matter how small the issue may have seemed, he made sure to get it taken care of. We are looking forward to getting quotes from Chi Renovation on doing our bathrooms in the near future!

Chi Renovation renovated our master and kids bathroom simultaneously. Ryan, Eric and Nicolai were a great team and were able to do a precise, clean installation. We were going for a modern look with attention to detail. The team was able to carry out the design with great professionalism and were always on time and pleasant. Highly recommend!

Great remodel done on our bathroom. Replaced old jacuzzi tub with modern, gorgeous rain shower with pebble flooring and sleek grey wall tile. Painted the bathroom too! Work was completed to the schedule we requested and the team was great to work with--especially Lior and Eric. Would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Thank you!

I used Chi Renovation & Design to remodel my guest bathroom, and would highly recommend them to others. I ended up going with them because they were the most punctual, professional, and organized throughout the consultation & estimate process, and I liked that they were a combined design-build firm, so the project manager (in my case, Ron) would see the whole project through from start to finish. Plus, their estimate was in line with others, and they came highly recommended by a co-worker who'd recently worked with them. I'd intended to do the remodel in June but then had to push the timeline back to the fall, which they were able to accommodate without an issue. Other things I appreciated were that: the team cleaned up the work area at the end of each day, so I never walked into a mess after work, and I pestered Ron with tons of questions and ideas throughout the process, and he was always quick to provide helpful guidance or answers. The project itself (punchlist excluded) took closer to 4 weeks than the 3 originally planned, but I'd call that an on-time finish for any contractor. As for the project outcome: the bathroom used to have a tiny (32x32") shower, ugly beige tile that was difficult to clean, and an even uglier glass block window. I'm really happy with the improvements.

Chi Renovation did a wonderful job renovating our one-bedroom Streeterville apartment. Everyone we worked with (including Julia, Tom, Ron) was professional, responsive, and attentive to our needs. When we first met with Tom to get an estimate, he suggested design ideas and was very detailed in his approach and really listened to what we were trying to do with the space. Once the project got going, one thing Chi Renovation did that the other contractors we considered did not do was provide a designer to work with us. He was very consultative and helped us realize the design we were looking for -- from cabinets to colors, flooring, hardware -- everything. And Ron was great to work with as the project manager. Always available for my questions, walked me through any issues that required immediate attention. Only a couple of delays that were related to building management and re-ordering cabinets, but everything went smoothly and as designed. I would highly recommend Chi Renovation if you're thinking about any renovation work for your home.

We needed to re-model our already finished basement after some other construction ruined what was a pretty nice space. After 3 estimates we chose Chi Renovation and Design. They were professional, thorough, responsive, and helped us design a new and better space. Tom was our initial project manager and gave us great ideas with regard to how we could go about the renovation and stay within our budget. The day-to-day work team was extremely professional, highly accessible, and responsive. They kept the space tidy and were able to complete the project in a reasonable amount of time. They talked us through their progress almost daily and listened to our concerns as they arose. The finished space is great and exactly what we wanted. We noticed a few issues after all the work was done, but Chi Reno was on the spot to address these concerns immediately. It is clear they care about the projects long after jobs are completed.

The Chi Renovation team was fantastic! The designer (Ryan), the project manager (Eric) and the installer (Derek) - all of them were very responsive, helpful, brought options and ideas for different parts of the projects and did an amazing job in a short time. They even managed to squeeze us in within a tight timeline and finished everything 2 days before the deadline. We LOVE our basement bathroom, as do all our guests! Would highly recommend and will definitely call them again for other bathroom projects in our house!

The renovation took about 3 weeks from demolition to finish product. We did not change our cabinets, just repainted and changed hardware through a different vendor but our contractor Ron worked very closely with them. Ron made sure all the timings worked out with sub-contractors like the painters, electrician and appliance deliveries. There was a small hiccup with a delay with the floors since the vendor had those on back order, but Ron was on top of it and worked hard to get it done in a timely manner. When we upgraded our light fixtures in the kitchen we decided to upgrade our light fixture in our dining room and Ron was very accommodating in getting that done too. Ron was on sight when the appliances were delivered to make sure there were no issues. It was a great pleasure working with Ron and Chi Renovation and I would highly recommend their services.

The service provided by ChiR was amazing. This is not our first renovation and as such we anticipated there would be moments when glitches occur. So of course there were a few but what is especially amazing about ChiR and our project manager Lior, was the prompt attention to resolving the issues no matter how small in order to assure that our outcome was the dream kitchen we had been hoping and planning for. As a result our kitchen is exactly what we envisioned and the process was as good as any renovation project can be. The workers and project manager were prompt, clean, considerate AND attentive to issues like our pets being in the house and our own work and life schedules. The quality of the work is also worthy of mention. We had originally explored the more moderately priced cabinetry but ended with moving up in our choice to a higher end cabinetry and we are so happy with the results. We also really appreciated the supply vendors/distributors that ChiR uses and the lower prices that they are able to pass onto the client. This helps give you what you want but at a cost that is much more reasonable than other builders might offer. The tile workers were also amazing and attended to small details I would have never seen. Overall it was a fairly painless process and I will plan on using ChiR for any of our future house issues.

Chi Renovation did an outstanding job on my bathroom remodel. I have a very small bathroom and because of my experience with contractors (all bad) I assumed this job would drag out because it was a small job. That was not the case at all. When Chi Reno came out to do the quote they had great suggestions on what I could do to achieve what I was looking for while also taking a practical approach. The designer worked with me and we came up with a great design. All the while, it was very low pressure. Never did I get the feeling that there was an up sale going on. With regards to the job itself, my only request was that once started, they devote the resources to get the job done in the allotted time. Chi Renovations came through on this wonderfully. The crew was awesome and professional. They finished the job ahead of schedule. Chi Renovation was not the cheapest quote I received but I can’t imagine another company providing better service and results. I would recommend Chi Renovations if you want the job done right.

My plan was to add a bathroom and bedroom to my basement. A tricky project because of all the piping and the position of the steam boiler and the washer/dryer. Mishneeta had amazing ideas on how to best utilize the space. She was very prompt and very thorough in her planning. No detail of the project was left to chance.I loved how she respectfully discussed the options, came up with great suggestions, and tried to save me costs. She patiently explained the planning process to me, followed up and send out her proposals according to the promised timeline. I would have fully trusted this company to work in my absence. Unfortunately I had to cancel the project. But I'm hoping to work with Chi Renovations in the future.

Just finished our master bathroom renovation! I finally got my steam shower!! It turned out amazing. The tile work, double vanity, the sconces. It all turned out so well. The company, Chi Renovation, was great. Throughout the entire process, they walked us through everything. From picking out the fixtures, tiles and paint to the design and layout. And the contractor that was here working was so wonderful. He was polite and very knowledgeable. We always felt comfortable with him in our home. There were some hiccups along the way (as we expected) but everything was resolved quickly and effectively. The project manager was super responsive and always brought things back on track immediately. If you have a project, they are definitely worth checking out.

Downtown condo renovation in South Loop. Addition of a bedroom, full kitchen remodel, pocket doors, closets, replacement of carpet with hardwood floors and luxury linoleum, crown molding, paint, and a million other things. I worked with Tom Tishbey and Eylon Mosery from the start of renovation. Both are professional and thorough. Any renovation would run into unexpected issues and expenses, but I always felt confident in their support and abilities. The manager of my building was very complementary to their communication, thoroughness in following HOA rules and regulations. It was a pleasure to work with professionals who think outside the box and come up with excellent design ideas. Every decision was well thought out and none of my questions or concerns were left unanswered. The company employs great professionals and truly talented people. I would recommend Chi Renovation and Design for any remodeling projects.

We can't say enough about the excellent service and quality that Chi-Renovation provided. They did the whole house renovation for us recently: kitchen, dining room, 2.5 bathrooms, whole house painting, first hardwood floor refurnishing and many other works. We found them online first. After interviewing several companies/contractors and a friend’s recommendation, we hired them because we felt the price and timeline were reasonable and the work looked nice for the friend’s kitchen. Their team is wonderful! We didn’t feel any pain or pressure, as we heard many terrible stories about the remodeling. Chi-renovation and the whole team took care of almost everything for us, from the design, material order, to the remodeling work. We worked with one designer Mark and three project managers, Tom, Ron and Eylon in the process. They are very knowledgeable, professional and super responsive, especially our onsite manager, Eylon. He kept the project on track and coordinated contractors. He responded our questions or requests timely and took the ownership when we were out of the country. There was a water accident in the middle of the process. Not only was our refinished hardwood floor damaged, but also my neighbor’s unit had a leaking issue. He took full responsibility to fix issues for both units quickly. My neighbor later wrote a thank-you letter and mentioned that she would definitely use their services in the future. Eylon is also helpful with any concerns we had and detail-oriented. He found many minor things we didn’t even notice. In addition, we would like to mention their sub-contractors (general contractors, plumbers, electricians, painters, floor crew and etc.). All did great jobs! They arrived on time, worked hard, took care of details, and cleaned up working area every day. It may be a little bit more expensive than hiring the contractors directly, but it worth every penny. We are very satisfied with the final results and highly recommend using their services!

Ron at Chi Renovation was amazing! We had a few projects done and he made sure that every detail was taken care of. From booking the contractors to making sure that the work was executed with perfection, Ron was on top of it all. I have heard nightmare stories about having renovations done and Chi Renovations eliminated every friction point. It was completely painless and we love the work that was done! If you're looking for a friction-free renovation process, book Ron. It is likely more expensive than booking a contractor yourself, but worth every penny. Overall a great experience! This is my first major remodeling project and Chi walked me through the entire process. I lived in the house during the work (kitchen and bath gut remodel) and they did their best to accommodate that. Project Manager was very responsive and helpful in choosing materials. From the moment we called, Chi Renovation was very professional and accommodating. Lior was our project manager and he worked with us and provided us with many great suggestions as far as where to find finished product and giving us input on design ideas. The crew assigned to our project was first rate. Clean, friendly and always consulting us when there was a question and never getting upset with our many questions and mid project changes. And, the tile work was perfect! They were a delight and would request them again when we do our other bathrooms. Our only issue was with the installer of our Glass shower door. His was the very last item to finish and he was rather careless and indifferent as to where he was putting his tools and managed to scratch our new sink counter top quite a bit. I mentioned/showed it to Lior who said it was completely unacceptable and in the future I would request a different installer for any shower doors we have installed. The end result exceeded our wildest expectations and we would Highly recommend Chi Renovation and Design and look forward to working with them again in the near future.

I had Chi Renovation remodel my master bathroom, and they did a fantastic job. Nicole, the designer on my project, came up with a beautiful concept and was responsive to any changes or comments I had to the design. Eric and his team took care of the construction, and they did a great job. The team showed up every morning promptly at 8 and were often hard at work until 5 or 6 in the evening. There were a few hiccups along the way, but they took care of everything. They even repaired a hole in my kitchen that a plumber had left on another project. The work they did is beautiful, and I would recommend them to anyone.

The guys at CHI were courteous, timely and informative. A refreshing contrast to dealing with most other contractors in my experience. We had our bathroom completely remodeled after we moved in - God knows the previous owner did not seem to care for anything. When all was said and done, we were very happy with the work done and will call CHI again for future projects.

We used Chi Renovations & Design for our Kitchen remodel and was very pleased with the final results. Our designer (Nicole) was able to get us a 3D rendering of our vision during the very beginning of our design phase and it looked awesome! The subsequent design meetings were pleasant and fun. Once construction started, we had a great relationship with our project manager (Eric) and the subcontractors (Ceddo and Rene). We would HIGHLY recommend the subcontractors that we had through Chi Renovation & Design! Throughout production, the contractors were always courteous and on time. They took the design to heart and made sure everything turned out exactly like the drawings from our designer! The only one disappointment we had with our kitchen renovation project was with the cabinet company, Bellmont Cabinets. There is no showroom to see the actual product and their website apparently had wrong information when it comes to material selection. In addition, once we ordered and paid 100% of our cabinets, we had to wait 13 weeks before they arrived when we were promised 6-8 weeks of production. And there was no explanation as to what happened to production. Regardless, now that our kitchen is completed, we are very happy with the end result. We would recommend Chi Renovations & Design for their awesome and professional team! The design fits our lifestyle completely and everybody in the family is enjoying the wonderful space we now have!

We moved into our house 4 years ago and knew we'd need to renovate our kitchen. It had last been renovated 30 or so years ago and even at that point, the cabinets were simply refaced using new fronts but with the original cabinets from 1960 behind. We interviewed several companies (at least 5-6) and actually almost went with another one, but once we met with the designer from Chi we knew this was the right company to go with. We immediately liked the designer that we worked with. She seemed to get what we wanted and our style right away and she had some great ideas for how to organize a challenging space (we have a very long and narrow kitchen). She made some great choices with reclaimed wood shelves and hardwood floors and made it so that this fit within our budget. Both my husband and I work long hours, and she was very accommodating of our difficult schedules and was good at keeping us on task and making timely decisions. Once we got to the actual construction phase, our project manager was very available and helpful with any concerns we had, or coordinating contractors. The construction got done much more quickly than we anticipated, as we had heard several horror stories from friends and family that these types of projects can drag on endlessly - that didn't happen to us at all, so I guess we chose the right company! Everyone across the board was a joy to work with and really we can't speak highly enough of them. We'd use Chi Renovation again in a heartbeat, and likely will because we have plenty of other rooms to renovate.

I did a bathroom renovation in Lincoln Park, Chicago and selected Chi Renovation after talking with several designers and contractors. I picked the company because I really clicked with the designer on our initial consultation and felt like not only was she incredibly friendly and organized, but she also really aligned with my vision on the project. From there, things went incredibly smoothly. Granted, we had the whole project designed about four months before we even began it, but everything ran on schedule and the communication was really great, even when I was out of town on business trips. Any time there was a minor tweak or change, I was consulted, and I think the resulting project was even better as a result of those changes. (For instance, I waffled several times on the countertop before settling on a plainer version. Then, the counter came in defective. By that point, most of the bathroom was finished, and my project manager called to see if I'd like to switch to a quartz that was in stock or wait on the original one. We realized that a slightly more ornate quartz, which I'd actually considered earlier, would look best, and we switched. That quartz was in stock and installed the next day and made the bathroom look even better.) Other than that, we expanded the shower to a frameless glass shower, put in a standalone tub, added new light fixtures and completely retiled the room. All in all, it was a great experience.

Chi-Reno did an absolutely amazing job on a total gut rehab of our kitchen. Two walls were removed, opening up the space so you could see the entire living/dining area and even the backyard. The transformation was incredible, moving one of the most important spaces of our home from a 1963 horror show to an elegant 2016 masterpiece. One of the primary objects of the rehab was to get more cabinet space. I’m happy to say we got what we needed and more. We now have a pantry to store bread, chips and cereals, a Lazy Susan for canned and baking goods and plenty of space for our plates and bowls and everything else. Before the job, items were on top of the fridge and countertops and in open view. Now everything has its own place and the countertops are clear for the first time. We had a pleasant experience with our project managers who went the extra mile to make sure everything was to our complete satisfaction. I’d highly recommend checking them out for a remodel project.

Chi completely renovated my two bedroom condo. Everything except the spare bathroom tile was removed and replaced including all appliances, cabinets, woodwork, installed lighting – everything. They did all the design work and made great recommendations on colors, bathroom design, cabinets, etc. They even installed glass wall sections to completely close off the second bedroom. All of this was completely coordinated by one very dedicated project manager. The end product is exceptional – I am very, very happy with my new home.

My two story shed was once used as an artist's studio; but, over twenty years it became the place where my family of five put things. It was floor to ceiling stuff. I went in and noticed that there was a hole in the roof where an animal had gotten in. It took three months to clean the shed and dispose of junk. I called Chi Renovation and Design to help me restore the space. There was a lot more work to be done than I realized! Jonathan Scienna oversaw the work. Jonathan was understanding and patient when I changed my mind and new plans had to be implemented. That happened more than once. I am very happy with the new structure: new sides to replace what was rotten, clean, new inside, insulated, painted. Chi Renovation and Design did a great job!

I have a 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo in Lincoln Park, in downtown Chicago. I did a complete gut remodel of the only bathroom in my home. I first worked with Nicole from Chi-Renovation & Design to plan the remodel. The planning process with Nicole went smooth and easy. Working with her was great. She was able to answer the tons of questions that I had and provided suggestions and different options when i coukdnt make up my mind on the details and even the colors and bathtub and cabinets. The final decision for my bathroom tub was a free standing tub. I (and my friends) are in love with the tub! During construction, I worked with Eric and Niculae. Eric was the construction manager and Niculae was the guy that did all the amazing work. Start to finish, construction took about 2.5 weeks. They took into consideration that I would be without a toilet and made it work to get it back to me as qiluick as they could. Most of the construction went great. There was a minor issue with the location of the shower head that was of concern for me. Eric and Nick were able to re-work the shower head and plumbing for it without too much of a hassle. And it was fixed with in a day of me brining up the concern. Overall I am happy with Chi-Renovation performance and working with Eric and Nicole. Nick did an amazing job on the bathroom. I love my New bathroom (especially the tub)!

I love this kitchen . We did a very similar design in an old abobe milk barn on a old ranch north of LA . We used the same appliances in mint green , white cabinets and a Viaterra Quartz surface in a similar sparkly white with square edges . Since we had adobe walls we used them as backsplash and then used a plank tile wood look gray wash floor throughout the entire space . I also love the floor in this space .

We recently completed a project with Chi Renovation & Design and were pleased with the work. Lior was prompt when providing an initial quote, which was detailed and clearly presented. In the aftermath of damage to our lower level from sewage backing up, we required the reconstruction of baseboards, drywall, and carpet installation. All of the trades associated with the various parts of the job were professional and skilled, and the result of the reconstruction looks great! Lior and his team even finished the job in less time than expected and cleaned up after the project's conclusion. We found the total cost for the services provided to be reasonable and would highly recommend Chi Renovation & Design.

I loved working with Chi Renovation & Design! Our designer was Larry Lambert, and he did a great job. We have a mid-century modern home and updating the kitchen, while still respecting the design of the house was important to us, and Larry understood that. We demolished two major walls, and shifted the entire footprint of the kitchen into the adjacent room. Larry designed our kitchen around a ten-foot island with a waterfall quartz countertop (in one gigantic piece!), and added nice features, like a extra storage, a buffet/bar with wine fridge and roll-away cabinet and hidden spice rack & garbage can. He even built a new lightbox with twelve LED lights to go over the island himself. The whole project took a couple of weeks longer than we expected, but it was a big job. We'd definitely recommend Chi Renovation & Design and work with Larry again.

Even though we had delays from the city, they helped to make up the time by working nights and weekends. I actually had to tell Stoyan to go home on a few occasions! The bathroom is fantastic, and we've gotten a lot of compliments on it. It turned out even better than expected. I plan to use Chi Renovation for future projects, and I've already recommended them to co-workers and friends.

We hired Chi Renovation & Design to renovate our second bathroom. The builder-grade mirror had fallen off the wall, and we thought we would use the opportunity to go ahead and make other improvements to the space. In particular, we wanted to install a shower door, replace the tile, and increase the amount of storage space. We worked with Nicole, who had many years of experience designing bathrooms, and she came up with so many ingenious ways to increase the storage, through built-in shelves and a custom cabinet and vanity. She also quickly grasped our style and proposed materials that suited our tastes. We really appreciated her keen eye for design and her sense of creativity in putting together a modern and minimal unified look. While the final cost did come out over our initial budget, we don't regret it since the resulting bathroom looks beautiful and is a pleasure to be in. Moreover, we are able to store everything we need and still have space left over. The renovation itself experienced several delays, due to waiting for the custom furniture to be built, but Nicole was great about communicating with us and keeping us updated. The actual work was done extremely quickly. Andy, who did nearly all the work solo, including constructing the built-in shelves, was not only skilled, but very sociable and friendly. He was also very prompt to return and make fixes. All in all, our experience was pleasant and stress-free, and I would highly recommend both Nicole and Andy to anyone looking to renovate their bathroom.

Larry at Chi Renovation did a complete kitchen remodel for us last fall and we had a great experience with them. It's always scary to hire contractors and we've had some bad experiences in the past that made us wary but what choice do people have? I did a lot of research online and based on reviews and meeting with several businesses, we decided to go with this local company. Our new kitchen is beautiful and truly feels like a completely different room. Larry was easy to communicate with, kept us informed, and cared about making us happy while also managing our expectations as far as what was realistic. We stayed on budget because he was always straightforward with us about our options. He also has very good relationships with his subcontractors as they spoke well of him and seemed to care about making sure to do good work for him. We plan to hire Chi Renovation again to remodel our bathroom and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

We made a decision in the spring and early summer of 2015 to renovate our downtown Chicago kitchen. We wanted new upscale appliances, upgraded cabinets with more storage space; replace a peninsula with an island, new countertops and lighting that would provide a transitional look—and we wanted it completed by Thanksgiving. We looked at and interviewed a number of different kitchen designers. We were most impressed with Chi-Renovations and Larry Lambert. He listened carefully to what we wanted, gently re-directed us when he foresaw problems and designed a kitchen that met our needs. Renovating a kitchen requires trust. Larry by virtue of his ability to listen to our needs and his easy accessibility via text messages engendered the trust we needed to move forward. He remained involved throughout the project—regularly checking on the work being done and fixing problems promptly when they occurred. The final result was a kitchen that we love completed in time for our Thanksgiving holiday. We highly recommend Chi-Renovation and Larry Lambert.

I inherited a 1950's Skokie home that had never been updated. The kitchen - Formica counters, built-in electric stove- oven with no working temperature control, and broken tile floors - was depressing and embarrassing. I picked Chi renovation and within days had an architectural drawing of cherry cabinets with crown molding, stainless steel sink, stone countertops, under- counter lighting and a warm wood floor. Although it took a while to secure building permits, and I experienced a bit of sticker shock from top of the line stainless steel appliances, I was ecstatic about the result and would recommend Chi highly. Their subcontractor put in a gas line. Their master artisan, Rizza, created the best part: a marble backsplash and marble tiles between he counters and the cabinets. I had a lot of creative control, but, at the same time, advice on what would work and what wouldn't. Everyone at Chi was professional and respectful and had a good sense of humor and that mitigated the nuisance of construction in ones living space. It is a reputable company that goes above and beyond to make sure customers are satisfied. After I made the final payment, I noticed some problems, they still came out and made the adjustments. I really appreciated that. Great experience overall!

We hired Chi for a long overdue kitchen remodel after reading the positive reviews they received on a number of sites, and the fair pricing quotes given on our project. Updated: 4/24/18 I hired Chi again to finish part of our basement into a craft studio. Once again I was extremely pleased. Our project manager was Eylon Mosery and he was excellent. He listened to all of our needs and requests and addressed every issue that came up. He kept us updated and also kept the entire project on track. The end result was beautiful and the project was right on schedule. I highly recommend Chi and Eylon for remodeling needs. ----- I hired Chi Renovations to finish my basement. I didn't shop around, but their price seemed reasonable and the reviews were good so I hired them. From the initial estimate, to design, to getting all the necessary approvals, and then the building / finishing process, Chi took charge through the entire process. I was always able to reach the project manager for any questions, I even called him while he was on vacation (by accident) and he responded to my needs. A few issues did come up as is expected in a project this size but everything quickly got addressed. I'm extremely satisfied with my finished basement. The workmanship is truly excellent, and every crew (and there were a LOT of crews for this project) that showed up was polite, did good work, and cleaned up after themselves well. I will hire Chi again for future renovations without hesitation.

We had Chi Renovation update our kitchen last summer including new laminate counter-tops, new sink and disposal, new range hood and vent, new backsplash, and painting. Overall we were quite pleased with the quality and price. We would definitely use Chi Renovation again. One of the reasons that we chose Chi Renovation is that they were one of the few companies that would install laminate counter-tops, which is what we prefer over granite, quartz, etc. In addition, they were willing to work with us to work out a few details that other contractors wanted to avoid or would not take on in our older house, and several contractors were unwilling to work with us because we did not want to do a complete gut and remodel of the kitchen. We just wanted an update, since we did a major remodel about 20 years ago. Chi was willing to work with us. In preparation for the project, we purchased many of the items ourselves (sink, backsplash tiles, range hood, disposal) and Chi installed them. Chi handled getting the counter-tops. The project took 3-4 days in a row. The workers were careful about cleaning up after themselves and removing junk each day, and the quality of the work was very good. The counter-tops look great. The back-splash is beautiful and nicely installed by Chi. The biggest problem with the project was waiting for the counter-tops from the supplier, which was not Chi’s fault at all. Then there was a second wait for a replacement counter-top that was the wrong size—again, not Chi’s fault. Chi returned to finish up the project after the replacement counter-top was available and to take care of a short punch list, which took another day of work. The workers were polite, respectful, and careful, as was the project manager. A couple of minor issues came up—the garbage disposer was not properly connected to the dishwasher (I took care of it myself) and there is a slight nick in one of the countertops that could have been avoided (which we didn’t bother with because it was so trivial). That said, Chi would have fixed these minor items if we had asked, but we didn’t bother. Overall we were quite impressed by Chi’s reasonable price, responsiveness, quality, and service. We highly recommend them and would use them again for other remodeling projects.

We used Chi Renovation for our complete kitchen remodel, and they were a pleasure to work with. Our kitchen looks wonderful, with excellent workmanship. We had never renovated anything inside our house before this, and I highly recommend Chi for people in that position. Larry and Jonathan are true professionals - very knowledgable with smart suggestions. We loved that everyone (not just Larry and Jonathan, but workers and even deliveries) showed up precisely on time and fully prepared to do whatever they were supposed to. We hired Chi Renovation to finish our basement. Framing, drywall, electrical, lighting, and carpeting. Overall it was a really great experience. Our project leader Tom was almost always quick to respond to texts, emails, and phone calls (all 3 which we appreciated). The project length did not exceed Tom's estimate, the only delay was caused by an unexpected request that we made. After our framing and drywall was up, we noticed a bowing support beam and asked Tom's opinion. He brought out an architect, gave us a price to reenforce the beam, and moved forward with it in a timely manner. The carpenters were courteous, and cleaned the space well before they left. Our expectations for the company we hired was that they would do what they said they would do, and that they would finish the project within the time and budget they estimated. Chi Renovation absolutely met our expectations. I would recommend them to family and friends.

We utilized Chi Renovation & Design for our recent addition of a tiled backsplash in the kitchen and crown molding throughout the condo. From the time we called for the estimate until Sergio, our designer, conducted a final walk-through we had an awesome experience. The molding we needed required ordering due to a unique curved window that was brick. Even though we were in a time cruch due to upcoming guests, Sergio and his team was able to order the piece and complete the project before our deadline and under budget. Needless to say, we will be using Chi Renovation & Design for furture renovations or improvement project and have recommended their services to a number of friends and co-workers.

I recently have my basement installed with new tile floor by this company. I am satisfied with not only the initial estimate but also their finished work. They brought in a couple groups of guys for estimation and discussed with me about some options how to go ahead with the floor installment. We ordered tiles at a tile store by ourselves and their people picked them up without charging any fee. What I was really impressed is that they provided me everything in detail including all the materials and labor involved. I haven't found any fee randomly charged. Everything has been detailed exactly on the estimate. Their charge is reasonable and I never have any feeling I have been ripped off. This is probably what customers have been concerned most about. Their guys came every day and started the work pretty early around 7:30 am. They always notified me in advance about a possible early start. There were some thunder storms in the summer right before they started to work on the floor. I found some places in the basement had water seepage. They sealed all those leaking cracks on the foundation. They checked the sump pump and even exterior walls. They found a crack on the exterior wall which was leaking water on raining days. They sealed it without any additional charge. In one word, this company is pretty reliable. If you are hesitant about how to find a reliable company, I would recommend you at least start with an estimate from them.

The detail, attention to quality, and timeliness of Chi Renovation & Design was unmatched. I was met with professional interactions at every step of the way. To top it off, the final product of a completely refinished and stained wood floor left both me and my wife speechless. My wife and I are very pleased with the results of our condo renovation and have received compliments about how fabulous it looks. We worked with Stoyan who listened closely to us, had many good suggestions, and was easy to work with. We were especially pleased with his high standards, even when it caused a slight delay in the work after the flooring materials had to be replaced when he found they had malformations. The floor turned out great and harmonizes very well with the kitchen cabinets and backsplash.

The folks over at chi renovation were very patient with me and really helped me figure out what I was going for. I hired Chi Renovation to remodel my master bathroom. It was my first ever home remodel and at first I didn't know where to start. Based on reviews and my first meeting with Jon I decided this was the right company. They worked with my budget, provided me a shopping list of items needed and a budget for how much to spend on each. Jon sent us websites, recommendations and even took us shopping. We simply made selections and he made the arrangements for everything to be purchased, delivered and brought in. The men who did the work were respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves. We hit a few small glitches along the way (1) wrong shower floor tile installed (2) a mirror broke in transit (3) a tile was back ordered. Jon was always in constant communication and made sure everything that went wrong was fixed. In the end, the work took slightly longer then originally promised because of the back order, but it was very reasonable and the results were great. We love our new bathroom and I would recommend Chi Renovation, Jon in particular, to anyone.

We used Chi Renovation to do a ground up kitchen remodel in our home. The project went smoothly and Chi Renovation did a great job. Larry came out and gave us a quote and was the only person to come out and say they could do exactly what we wanted with the budget we had in mind. Other companies came out and told us it would be double what we were expecting and wouldnt work up any sort of design plan without us shelling out thousands of dollars to retain their services.. I was a little worried that Larry may have under quoted us or would try raising the cost later, but no such case....Chi Renovation did the job for exactly what was quoted, within the time frame they quoted, and it looks beautiful. Larry is extremely trustworthy and did everything he said he was going to do. When we did our final walk thru and pointed out some scratches on the new cabinets, he was quick to replace them at no charge, without an argument. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and the project was completed to our satisfaction. All in all, I totally recommend Chi Renovation. They do great work, they are extremely trustworthy, their prices are reasonable, and they will guide you through every step in the process. When we re-do our bathroom next year, I will use them again.

We wanted to remodel our kitchen for several years, but it's hard to spend that amount of money to do it. So when our water line to our refrigerator leaked and got under the tile causing them to crack we knew it was time to do it. I began researching companies. After getting several estimates from the top rated companies, we went with Chi Renovations for a few reasons. 1. The price was in the low to middle range which we were comfortable with. I didn't want to go with the cheapest and have the work reflect the price and we didn't want to go with the most expensive in case unexpected things came up (which they did). 2. They were a local company and each time we called Jonathan (it was many times) he was very responsive and would come to our house to talk at anytime. 3. We received beautiful 3D renderings on what the new kitchen would look since we were taking down the wall that leads to the dining room so we could put in a breakfast bar. 4. Lastly were the reviews and references they had. After we picked Chi Renovations, the fun started. We got to choose all the things that would go into our new kitchen and immediately realized how overwhelmed we were. Jonathan helped us every step of the way, from picking out the cabinets to coming with us to the tile store and the granite showrooms to the final details of the hardware and faucet. Then the demolition happened. We had heard horror stories that our living area would be covered in dust and that we should go live in a hotel at our parents house until it's complete. We were very surprised when they put tarps that completely contained everything. The workers were fantastic. They showed up at 8am every day and got right to work. Around noon they stopped for about 30 minutes to each lunch that they brought with and then got right back to work. Before they left they swept and cleaned up all their tools. As we began tearing things up, we found that the electrical was not up to code. They also recommended replacing the galvanized plumbing while the walls were already removed. I'm glad we agreed because as soon they removed the pipe, we could see it was almost totally clogged. We have watched enough renovation shows to know that things always come up which is why we didn't want to go with the highest bid because we would have been over budget. They were very honest and worked with us and village to make sure everything was done properly. The completed kitchen turned out better that we ever imagined and they were right on budget except for the unforeseen items and upgrades that we ended up selecting. I would use Chi Renovations again and I would highly recommend them for any renovation projects.

xtremely satisfied with the job! Had them remodel my kitchen and build an island for cabinetry and counter space. Two things I have to say about this 1) First, I had no idea what I wanted. Larry Lambert, my project manager, designed the whole thing for me and presented me with a couple of options. I needed it..other contractors rely on a lot of input from the customer, but this is just not my field. He walked me through a couple of options and he did a great job. 2) The timing was superb. After being delayed a ton by a different contractor for a different job (also did a great job), Chi Renovation stuck to their schedule beautifully. They came in over my Christmas break (I am a grad student) and got most of it done by the time I was back in school, even in the cold weather! The subcontractors work quickly too! When they say they will finish the job by a deadline, they will be done. Would absolutely, unequivocally recommend them, and use them again!

We hired Chi Renovation & Design to redo our kitchen entirely. Our kitchen was done in 2002 and it was pretty shoddy work and the appliances had gotten very old. We did not change the layout to where we would need to do any plumbing work but some electrical work was done. Larry worked with us to finalize the design of the kitchen. He got us in touch with some stores and people for the materials and he managed the whole process. He let us know when we needed to go buy our appliances, sink, light fixtures etc. He coordinated with the appliance store so that the appliances do not take space in our house for weeks before they were needed. We send him pictures of the backsplash we wanted and he took care of the purchase. He would come over when it would work for our schedule and he was very responsive and very flexible throughout the process. The crew was absolutely great. We have an open floor plan in our house and the kitchen is in the middle. Before they left every day, they would clean up everything and take out all of the trash. The crew came early one of the days because we needed to talk to them so that we are not inconvenienced by being late to work. Larry also got us in touch with someone for the countertop that had a gread selection and took a lot less time to finish the countertop than other places we had talked to. Also, we ended up needing to have a bit of the floors refinished which was not planned/budgeted for and they did not ask for extra money or delay the work in order to get that done. When the plan had to change a couple of times because things couldn't work out the way we had planned, Larry advised us and made sure the revised work was still to our liking. When one of the drawers that was delivered was the wrong design, Larry came himself over the weekend when we were free and installed the right one. It was a great experience and we would rehire them in a heartbeat if we had any more renovation work!

I would give Chi Renovation 5 stars and would definitely use them again for any future work we need. We needed to convert a very large shower stall into a bathtub (the shower tile was in need of replacement so we wanted to put in a jacuzzi tub since we had plenty of space: ~4'x6'). Also, on the other side of the wall that split our bathroom and the closet in our spare bedroom, we wanted to put in a washer and dryer. Since we were first time homeowners, this was our first major project, so basically, we knew nothing about what we wanted, other than 1.) jacuzzi tub, and 2.) washer and dryer. So, there are a TON of other details that you have to think about! Who knew! Anyway, Chi Renovation walked us through the entire process. They gave us a bid that they stuck to like glue and they guided us on picking out tile, a tub, location of electrical, etc. We worked with Jonathan who made the whole process very easy. The guy who did the work, Eric, was pleasant and kept the place fairly clean (as clean as you can reasonably keep a space that you're doing demo and drywall in) during the process. My husband and I are really busy people who work and travel a lot. And, Chi Renovation was super easy to communicate with the whole time. Jonathan responded to phone calls and emails on the weekends and evenings which was super helpful for us and our schedules. All in all, I felt like they were reasonable in price, professional and courteous and, more than anything, helpful in thinking through our project with us. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I worked with a project designer on a master bathroom remodel. The experience was relatively painless although it was slight more time consuming than I had anticipated. He made sure all our desires were addressed. He was extremely attentive to details with a keen eye for textures and colors. The trades men working on the project were professional and respectful of our home. Additionally, when options were available they made sure I understood and, tried to help me to visualize the aesthetics of each option.

For some context, I got in touch with Dan, the project manager, only one week before I had to leave on a two week trip to Asia. Naturally I wanted to have the work done while I was gone. Despite the short notice, he made it happen. He went way out of his way multiple times to make things work, including making trips to Home Depot himself as well as another store to get parts that had been missing. He worked around me being in Asia throughout the project, which required him to take calls outside of normal business hours. He even helped fix some shoddy work that had been done by another contractor. He always had an awesome, can-do attitude, which made him a pleasure to work with, even when there was a slight delay due to one of the contractors. The bathroom looks amazing now! Now I’m proud to have people visit and see the work that was done. The craftsmanship is great, and it all came together extremely nicely. Thanks a lot to Dan for making this happen. CHI was great to work with. The CHI team completed my basement from the bare walls and floors into an amazing family room. I met with several companies to bid on my basement remodel, and Jonathan at CHI offered the most comprehensive proposal with the best value as well as great consulting insight into the design and materials. During the remodel, the project manager Dan was professional, responsive, and diligent. He coordinated each detail of the remodel flawlessly, overseeing quality and to make it a stress-free experience from demo to the final walk-through. I'd recommend this company highly.

I hired these guys to fix my kitchen two months ago. They gutted my whole my kitchen and installed glossy cabinets. I was worried that they would scratch them but they are beautifully intact, without a scratch. They also installed the tile, sink, etc.... Jonathon was great, he was in touch with me on a regular basis and answered my texts. The quote was also very close to accurate, phew! I did not have to do much, I'm a busy person and they knew that so I asked them to make the decisions. I'm glad I did. I also appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves, nothing annoys me more than having contractors leave their lunch or debris around after a job. We hired CR&D to help remodel our kitchen. Davyd helped us with the design aspect and Daniel was our project manager. Daniel was great, kept us up-to-date on the remodel project and with schedules. He worked around our busy schedules with the kitchen remodel and was very patient with us. Sub contractors Eric & Chris were fantastic. The kitchen was sectioned off so that minimum dust would gather in the rest of the house. The new kitchen looks fantastic!

I am extremely pleased with the work that Chi renovation did on my newly purchased condo. I will definitely use them again.the process was very easy due to our great project manager Daniel who was exceptionally attentive and worked diligently on completing the project in a timely fashion. 6 out 5 stars! CHI Renovation repaired and finished our basement after we had water damage. Jonathan, Tom and the CHI Renovation team I worked with were fantastic. They gave me a strong estimate and worked with me around my schedule. They said they would be finished by Saturday and finished a day early--unheard of when it comes to home renovations. The work was impeccably done with excellent attention to detail. All I ever hear are horror stories about contractors and re-modelers, but CHI Renovation was reliable, professional and fair. My wife and I decided that we wanted to completely remodel our master bathroom and make it more modern and spacious. We engaged 6-8 contractors and bathroom design companies but each and every estimate seemed extremely high for the scope of work. We almost decided to call it quits on the remodel, but then we stumbled upon Chi-Renovation as a referral from a close friend. Not only was the estimate almost half of what some other companies were quoting us for, but in some instances their vision and concept included much more. Once we signed off on the initial estimate and work effort, the process from concept to design to production was easy and pain free. We had Jonathon as our designer and thought he did a fantastic job of really understanding our taste and piecing together a bathroom and layout that was perfect for us. Not only did he listen, but he also conveniently came to us with the tile and counter options so we didn't have to travel to a large showroom and deal with the enormous magnitude of choices and options. The design experience was great and definitely helped us narrow down and make easy choices. After we finished with the design aspect, Daniel was assigned as our project manager and he was our main point of contact for the rest of the way. Not only did he make the planning and construction pain free, he ensured the project moved along quickly so we didn't have to live without our master bathroom for too long. Some of the companies we originally quoted, estimated the project to take 6 weeks whereas it took Chi-Renovation only 2 weeks to complete the work from beginning to end! A lot of this is credited to Daniel and team for appropriately planning and starting the work with a finish date in sight. As the project moved along, Daniel also did a great job of keeping us informed and advising us of any issues that arose. Even though we did not run into any major problems, we were comforted knowing that Daniel cared how we felt about the progress and were confident he'd put us as a priority should anything major arise. I would highly recommend Jonathon, Daniel and Chi-Renovation for any future work. I'd be very hard pressed to believe there is another company out there that can execute on the design, quality and speed for the cost. It was a great experience for us!

We decided to use Chi Renovation & Design to remodel our master bathroom. Not only did they come in on budget but the work was done beautifully. They even had ideas we didn't originally think of. Every detail was executed to perfection. The service was great and the project was done on time for a large party we had planned. All of our friends loved our new bathroom. I could not be happier with the bathroom and minor kitchen remodel that Chi Renovation & Design did for me. After shopping around for a little bit, I decided to go with them because they were the most professional and genuine when I met them for an estimate. I was impressed from the very beginning by how responsive they were. Normally, I hate it when I need to “work” for a company to get back to me or just correspond in general. But all of my phone calls and emails were returned within half an hour, which for a company in this industry, I can say from past experiences is really rare! Overall the quality of their work is very good. I have seen and worked with other contractors, and I have found Chi Renovation & Design's work to be much better. I particularly liked that they assigned a designer to my project. This was included in the cost. They showed me samples, so I could pick out all the materials. The designer was really good, and I have a beautiful bathroom and kitchen as a result. The proportions are all perfect, and everything is very functional. They were extremely competent and good at what they do. The professionalism of everyone I've worked with was remarkable. Lior has a lot of experience and was able to give me lots of cost-efficient and creative suggestions on what he thought would work for my space. He re-did my entire bathroom and knocked down a wall in our kitchen. He was very patient with answering all of my questions and thorough with the initial estimate he gave. One suggestion in particular proved to be extremely helpful and that was his advice to knock down a wall that was creating an awful divide in our kitchen. Once we got rid of it, the kitchen transformed into a much more open and sophisticated space. Another thing I was very pleased with was how timely and neat they were, I really appreciated that. Chi Renovation remodeled my bathroom, refinished the hardwood floors, and painted all the walls. I'm very meticulous and, consequently, I am NOT an easy customer. So, when a job is done with superior quality, I want to acknowledge it and give full credit. Background I live in a 1-bedroom, Gold Coast condo that's about 700 Sq Ft. I hadn't updated it in 10 years and was really ready for change. I decided to refinish the wood floors, paint all the walls, and completely remodel the bathroom. I consulted with and received bids from 3 companies before choosing Chi-Renovation. Superior Advice & Direction Since I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do to the bathroom or the colors I would choose for the walls, I was open to suggestions. The Chi-Renovation Project Manager showed me pictures and asked questions to be better understand my tastes, how I would use the space, and my vision. He then gave me great recommendations regarding color and design elements and did most of the shopping for me. For example: He brought tile, accent options, and wood finishes to my home based on my preferences. He sent photographs of options for the fixtures, toilet, tub, etc. This was incredibly helpful because I don't have a car nor the time to do that kind of running around. I was pleased and impressed with the advice and direction that he gave me. He also met with the chief engineer for my building at the beginning of the project to manage all of the technical stuff. He made the process VERY easy for me. Exceptional Crew I was also impressed with the caliber of their expert craftsmen. The custom vanity and cabinets that they made are absolutely beautiful and fit perfectly despite the awkward constraints of the space. The tilework is like art -- beautiful and flawless. And, the refinished hardwood floors look like new. Perfect! And, they completed everything in just 4 weeks! Why Chi Renovation & Design? TRUST... Before witnessing any of their work in my own space, I chose them because after seeing examples of their work and speaking to them, I trusted that they would do what they said they would do when they said they would do it and that they would do it with integrity (in terms of their professional conduct and the materials they used): On Budget - On Time - Highest Quality. I appreciated having the Project Manager (who also provided wonderful design direction) as a central point of contact for all elements of the project and their entire crew proved worthy of my trust... so much so that I felt comfortable taking a mini out-of-state vacation for the last week of the project while they painted the walls and refinished the floors. The Cost I was quoted $12,600 for the work (and that included basic building materials). I paid an additional $4,700 for my custom vanity and cabinets, tempered glass sink, brushed nickel fixtures (for the sink, tub, and shower), and tile. The price was reasonable given my vision for the space, the types design elements that I chose, and the quality of the work.
