Claudia E. Kazachinsky founded CEK Design Inc. in 1995 after more than 10 years experience with a national corporation specializing in high-end interior design. Claudia brings a varied background to her business. A native of Brazil, she moved to Israel when she was 12. She studied design and art history at Tel Aviv University and pursued a career in set design before coming to the United States. Claudia continued her design studies at UCLA and studied architecture at Cal Poly.
Although Claudia has focused her efforts in South Bay communities such as Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills, she has designed homes all over Southern California, including Century City, Hancock Park, Sherman Oaks, Santa Monica, Westwood, Beverly Hills, Irvine, Coto de Caza, and Palm Desert. Her out-of-state projects have taken her as far as Westport, CT, Park City, UT and Seattle, WA.
Claudia is widely known for her sophisticated and inventive approach to interior design, her keen eye and impeccable taste, as well as her organizational skills and attention to detail. Claudia is a certified interior designer and a member of several organizations, including Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce and Sandpipers, a local non-profit charity group.
CEK Design, Inc. is a full-service interior design firm offering a wide variety of services, from a simple color consultation to large remodeling projects. Claudia says that her goal is to help her clients “refine their style and define their taste” in creating a look that truly reflects their individuality. Claudia lives in the South Bay with her husband, Richard Sherer. Along with her passion for design, Claudia’s other interests are good literature, innovative theatre and travelling to exotic places. In her spare time she enjoys painting.
