Designer's Edge Kitchen & Bath

We contacted Sharon while still living in Massachusetts to help with a kitchen/bath renovation in a house we had purchased in Oregon. At our first on-site meeting, it was clear that we had found someone who would not only listen to our ideas but who would also bring her expertise and design sense into the project. Sharon took our broad-brush concepts and reduced them to a couple of design options that would serve as a foundation for further development. Her approach was to find visually appealing solutions that put functionality front and center. She was always willing to consider and vet our ideas as the process evolved. As a result, we ended up with a truly collaborative product – one that captured our vision for the spaces and that exhibited a gloss of professionalism reflective of Sharon’s keen sense of proportions, colors, textures and functionality. Sharon meticulously measured the existing spaces and prepared detailed plans for all elements of the project: demolition, framing, custom cabinets, flooring, plumbing and lighting. Her knowledge of materials and sources proved invaluable, especially since we were new to the area. She was willing to accompany us on several visits to suppliers and always made time to critique options with us as we worked through our finish choices. Finally, we relied on Sharon’s recommendation in choosing a general contractor - we were not disappointed. We recommend Sharon for any interior renovation project.

Sharon is a talented, professional, and creative designer who produces excellent work. Based on a recommendation from our contractor we hired Sharon to re-design our dated, boxy, and inefficient kitchen and office, as well as our hall and master bathrooms. As first-time homeowners who held off remodeling for 20 years we needed someone with a common-sense, cost-effective approach who could guide us through the entire process from start-to-finish. Sharon did exactly that. She steered us through the initial design process, identifying budget-conscious solutions that would enable us to allocate most of our budget toward the kitchen while still achieving the goal of new bathrooms (necessary for resale down the road). She listened patiently to our ideas and questions, and answered thoughtfully, discussing solutions with our contractor and often providing photographs for reference. Of note is that Sharon began working with us pre-pandemic and stayed with us as our project needs evolved. Around the time her original design was complete and we were quite close to beginning our remodel we recognized that some of our needs had changed and decided to expand the project scope and budget. She went back to the drawing board - several times - to incorporate our changes, and we are thrilled with the final design. We appreciate her design expertise and recommend her highly.

She is very professional and listened to our ideas but also let us know if we were veering too far from the “timeless kitchen” we desired. We hired Sharon to help us design a more functional space for our kitchen. She was professional and worked very hard to come up with several ideas to try to meet our needs. We brainstormed which pieces of each alternative that we liked best and she created a hybrid plan that pulled all the pieces we liked best together. I also had Sharon work with me on picking out actual finishes to match our own personal style. She made a overwhelming job so much better and I had confidence walking away that we had picked out the products that met our needs.

Sharon created an excellent plan for what I want when I remodel my kitchen. Small can be a real challenge and she ingeniously solved the problems I could not figure out. I was very specific about he design of the oven hood. After much searching, she found a CAD unit which would make it work. She helped me choose the finishes, and they were just the ticket. As much as anything, Sharon got me off the dime. I had been putting off the project for so long. But once I hired her, what had once been overwhelming, began to be real.

Sharon is a delight to work with and a very professional, knowledgeable designer. Our kitchen area is not large and didn't have a lot of flexibility, but Sharon took a very poor arrangement and truly designed a dream kitchen. She also reworked our laundry area into a much more functional and pleasant space, starting by closing off an unnecessay door to a back bedroom...I never would have thought of that! She suggested that we plan to start the project in May, so that we could comfortably use our outdoor barbeque for cooking and worked well with our contractor, who was new to her. She met every deadline, and was a great help in choosing materials. Overall, we were very happy with her work and with the final outcome of our project.

Sharon is a true professional and sees a project through in complete detail. Really appreciated her knowledge and expertise, while totally listening to our concerns/desires. We hired Designer's Edge for a kitchen and main level remodel. We were initially attracted to her a la carte consulting services. We have been very pleased with Sharon's professional approach to our project. She has provided excellent design guidance and direction and connections to industry resources. She knows the industry very well including the latest innovations in building products. Her 3D visualizations of our project really helped us hone in on the right design for our space and needs. She was very patient with multiple revisions allowing us to get to the perfect plan for us. She is personable, friendly, prompt and professional. We have already recommended her to our friends.

Sharon did an outstanding job redesigning the kitchen and baths to meet our needs and desires. Sharon made many suggestions that we are still extremely happy with including: overall design of the kitchen; product selections (countertop, floors, tile, paint colors, larger bath shower, lots of kitchen cabinet space including the hutches, etc.); specialty items (condiment drawer, appliance garage, microwave in a drawer, ironing board in a drawer, heated floor in the master bath, etc). Sharon was always available to meet when we needed her advice. Her detailed construction documents kept everyone aligned and were referred to often to clear up any potential confusion during the construction phase. We highly recommend Sharon.
