The company is located in Lincolnwood near Chicago, Oak Park, and Evanston. Fortune Restoration is a 34 year old family owned business, founded and run by the three fortune brothers, Peter, Thomas, and Bob. Fortune Restoration's Service has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and has won many local and National awards for their service. Fortune Restoration has worked on many Historical Projects that are National Landmarks such as the Noble Seymour Crippen House, The McCormick Mansion, The Walgreen Mansion, and The Evanston Light House.

Buyer BEWARE! This company offered a 4-year warranty on their work painting the steps of our home. They came out twice and both times it needed to be re-done (paint peeling from the corner). Now they say "they will not stand by the guarantee." Ironically this is a quote from Pete Fortune, the owner, who is the original person who signed the contract (with the guarantee printed). If I had more free time, I would likely take them to small claims court for breach of contract. It's a solid case that they did not uphold their end of the contract. NOT RECOMMENDED - look somewhere else!

They painted the exterior of our Victorian house. It was a complex project with 6-10 different paint colors. The surfaces were prepped with care, the painting was completed neatly and timely, the painters polite and accommodating. Highly recommend this business.

Fortune Painting did an amazing job bringing our 1893 Queen Anne a new lease on life. Our home had probably not been painted in20+years and it now looks better than brand new. The crew performed their magic repairing all the cracked stucco, taking over 10 coats of paint off the trim, replacing any rotten trim they found, etc. Their crew worked tirelessly through 90 degree days and left the worksite clean each night. After this experience, I will never look for another painter!
