Garner is part of our family...yes, weeds and all. Stephen, Samantha and Kyle, their entire team, take great pride in their work and provide clear and fair pricing. They always make time to answer questions. When we first moved in we realized our retaining wall and front steps were falling apart. Stephen and team did an amazing job rebuilding both areas. After this years heavy snows, our already suffering landscaping took the final blow. The team put together ideas and estimates but most importantly they met a near impossible deadline. We had a family event in two weeks and our house was immaculate. They are indeed the best.

We have been very impressed with the quality and expertise of this company. They have installed a fieldstone planting bed and flagstone steps around our sunroom (see pictures) in 2017. This year (2018) we had them do major pruning job and mulching. In both instances their crew was very professional and did a marvelous job on clean up. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the workmanship. We were always kept up to date in any changes in installation dates.

I have been using Garner Exteriors for about 7 yrs and am very pleased with the results of their services. My lawn and gardens needed help when I first started and now over the years we have one of the nicest yards in the neighborhood. I am always getting compliments. They have been very responsive to my questions and concerns when there is a problem and work hard to correct the issue. I highly recommend all their lawn and garden services.

Garner Exteriors grounds maintenance division has drastically improved the look of my lawn and plant beds. They have been shown an array of knowledge when it comes to how or when to prune certain plants and also what plant material will do better in different conditions (i.e. shade vs. sun). My grass has become very healthy and green with help from their lawn applications and their irrigation division to adjust the run times based on weather conditions. I look forward to continuing my relationship with Garner Exteriors.

From the initial meetings to the completion of our project, I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work and professionalism of Garner Exteriors. They replaced our entire deck and added a patio around our pool. We felt they took the time to listen to our wants and needs and then create a design that incorporated everything that we asked down to the smallest detail. Their on-site crews worked hard and were always there if we had any questions. I would definitely recommend Garner Exteriors to anyone looking for a quality and reliable landscaping company.

I was referred to Garner Exteriors (Dunkirk, MD) by The Sharper Cut Landscapes (Upper Marlboro, MD), as my landscaping project was not in the scope of their portfolio. Since Sharper Cut is a highly rated company, I trusted their recommendation. Unfortunately, I must say that I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of Garner Exteriors’ completed project and their unsatisfactory level of customer service. I was in the process of moving into the home, which had been vacant for over a year. When I purchased the house, the yard was overrun with weeds and in desperate need of pruning, mulching, trimming and edging throughout. I met with Jon. He seemed to be very creative and professional. He even sold me on adding in some retaining walls (I love the retaining walls). Issues: After Garner Exteriors completed the work they just left. They did not even have the courtesy to speak with me before departing the property. Due to the disheveled state of the yard, my wife and I were shocked to see that they left. We walked around and look at the disorderly and unfinished work. Although it was a bright, sunny, calm day when they came out to our house, we found leaves everywhere including embedded in the mulch around the trees and flower beds; blue spray paint was on tree roots and grass; broken branches and uneven bushes were left; there were even areas that had not been mulched and the edging lines were not strait. Their completed work was sub-par and far below my expectations of a professional landscaping company. To make matters worse, I emailed Garner Exteriors to express my concerns (I spoke with Jon) and sent copies of pictures that we took that same afternoon of the yard. He immediately followed up with me via phone and said that he would come out and take a look. As he walked our property he was very reluctant to admit that the work was subpar, and he did not address any of my concerns. Instead, he stated that he picked up a few branches! No one ever came out to redo the landscaping properly, and I did not receive any form of reimbursement for the inconvenience. In closing, I would not recommend Garner Exteriors to any homeowners seeking high quality landscaping for their property. Additionally, I would be very cautious in taking recommendations from The Sharper Cut Landscapes if they recommend Garner Exteriors for your landscaping needs. ************************************************************** Updated 8/25/2016 I was contacted by Jon via email last week (about a month after I used their services) and was asked for my availability to meet with the owner. I agreed and provided my availability. I accepted this meeting under the impression that the owner wanted to try and help resolve my negative experience. So, today the owner and Jon came to my property and to my shock and amazement the owner was extremely confrontational and insisted that I was wrong about the work. He even attempted to chastise me and told me that I was wrong for posting my negative experiences with the quality of their customer service and workmanship. I have no reason to lie, and I even took pictures to prove the poor level of work that was done. I would have never agreed to meet with the owner had I known that the meeting was for the owner of Garner Exteriors to just accuse me of being a liar. I also would have never agreed to meet to be exposed to a confrontational, unproductive and overall negative experience with the owner. From the day I told them that I was not happy with the quality of their work they never once apologized, and they never made any attempts to fix the issues. Instead they have continued to challenge me, ignored proof of their poor workmanship, and refused to admit to any poor work. As I stated in my prior review, I would not recommend Garner Exteriors to any homeowners seeking high quality landscaping for their property. Additionally, I would be very cautious in taking recommendations from The Sharper Cut Landscapes if they recommend Garner Exteriors for your landscaping needs.

We have been using Garner Exteriors for hardscapes, low-volt lighting, Full-Service Lawn Maintenance, garden-design, plantings, and all elements to make our home beautiful on the outside. We have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. The guys are professional and simply the best!

Vicki and Garner Exteriors were terrific! We had two flower beds (one hillside), the plants to go in them, and no idea how to proceed. Vicki came out, took a look at what we had, listened and took into consideration our thoughts and visions, and got to work. Rather than spend (waste) time with plans (blueprints), Vicki came with her crew and personally placed the plants, bushes, boulders and oversaw the job to completion. I really appreciated her design skills - her "eye" - for how the plants would look their best. Vicki and Garner Exteriors were great and so easy to work with. And we have beautiful front landscaping!
