West Village Contracting

We hired West Village Contracting to renovate our UWS kitchen (new countertops, backsplash, cooktop, sink, faucet, undercabinet lights); I interviewed numerous contractors over the course of 1 month and liked West Village Contracting the best. Our kitchen remodel required some significant stone expertise and West Village's stone subcontractor was my favorite by a landslide (he came as part of the interview process). My faith in that stone person proved to be spot on. The end product was super impressive and met all our requirements. I LOVE how my kitchen came out. We used whole slaps of quartz for the backsplash which is very tricky b/c you want to limit the number of seams while also still needing to line up the veins in the quartz design. I honestly don't know how they pulled it off. The subcontractors they used for the demolition and electric were also top quality. We dealt directly with Or. He was responsive, direct, clear, reasonable, and fair. Their price was competitive compared to other Manhattan based contractors. There were some cheaper contractors but we also had concerns over their ability to deliver. I'm extremely pleased with our decision and would recommend West Village Contracting to others. If/when we renovate other parts of our apartment, Or will be the first person we call.

We hired this team for a batch of batch of repairs, improvements, and painting. In particular we had a very heavy door that needed to be refit (it was scraping the floor) and lot of wiring from motorized shades that needed to be concealed without blocking access to recharge the batteries. The work was meticulously done and very high quality.

They did amazing work! I look forward to doing a couple more projects with them ( I wish we could renovate a whole house with them!). Couldn't be happier. They listened to exactly what we needed, proactively problem-solved when we didn't have answers or solutions, and produced a perfect outcome across the board. They're creative, responsive, detail-oriented, flexible, and respectful. It's really hard to find all that in this city and we're so happy we did. Enthusiastically recommend.

We were very impressed and happy with the work done by West Village Contracting. We primarily interacted with Or and he was extremely helpful, patient, trust worthy, and thorough throughout the entire process. I think it's also important to note that we also had really good interactions with his sub-contractors, which speaks to the high quality and due diligence they must be doing on their end when selecting their partners. We would definitely use them again in the future for any other projects.

I had hired West Village Contracting after numerous contacts with other contractors (during the peak of COVID in NYC), and from the onset, they were the most communicative, straightforward, and honest team we reached out to. We needed to renovate our duplex apartment (~$50k budget) prior to move-in, were on tight timelines, and had to navigate a condo board. Gilad and his team finished ahead of schedule, helped us navigate the ambiguity of the paperwork, and were a pleasure to work with.

We have had a wonderful experience with Gilad and Or. They have finished a complete renovation on our studio in the West Village. It was a pleasure working with them and the outcome was better than we had hoped. We will use them again in the future.

West Village did a great job! They give a very detailed pricing so you know exactly what you are paying for. They keep their word on timing, work clean and do a beautiful job. They are pleasant and respect of your property. Prices may not be the lowest but worth it! Only thing to notice their policy of 25% extra for when they buy materials such as tiles, vanities etc. they will guaranty what you buy and bring up curb deliveries if you choose that, otherwise if you buy your materials they charge you extra for time spent on that. I strongly recommend them.

Gilad and his team did an amazing job renovating my kitchen. He was very knowledgeable and asked the right questions in advance to predict any complications. He delivered a brand new kitchen space for me in three weeks —very impressive schedule. And the quality is nothing short of perfect. I hired him subsequently to renovate our bath and had a similar positive experience and a beautiful new bath. I highly recommend!!

West Village Contracting has helped me with numerous jobs in my apartment, including installing a ceiling light and two large shelves on a very challenging wall. They always do a wonderful job, are incredibly professional, and are so easy to work with. I highly recommend them and will continue to work with them for future projects in my home.
