A+ Appliance Repair Cincinnati

The first time I hired this company, I was beyond impressed! They came out amd diagnosed issues with two of my wine refrigerators. They ordered the parts, came back within two weeks and voila, fixed both items with no issues. The second time I needed them however was a completely different story. In August they came out to diagnose an issue I was having with my Viking oven. The light wouldn’t go out, I also had an issue with my Viking freezer, the light Bob was broken. I also had an issue with a refrigerator in my bar area, the thermostat was broken. Terri had me prepay for what I needed on my Viking oven, when I need it for my Viking freezer, and for what I needed for my refrigerator in my bar area. The money I paid upfront was $1330.01, in early August 2017. Granted, I travel a lot for work, but this guy NEVEr calls to set up the work to install the parts I paid for or fix what is still broken as of 12/15/17. I called him Thanksgiving weekend and he told me he was working out of town and would call me later that day to schedule something. I never heard from him, so I called today. As soon as he knew why I was calling, he immediately became defensive, was literally screaming at me and blamed MY busy work schedule on all of the scheduling issues. When I asked why he didn’t call back a few weeks ago, he shouted that he did call back..... funny thing is, he didn’t leave a message?! I could barely get a word in over his yelling, but I ended up yelling back that I was going to let American Express deal with it. Do NOT perpay this man!!! Do NOT pay with cash or check, because you will never see him again. Sadly, he did good work the first time around and I was happy I thought I found a reputable company. I will never allow someone that YELLS at me like he did enter my home. Never.

Our 18 month old washer stopped working on July 3. We called A Plus Appliance Repair the same day and they sent a repairman out that day. The repairman advised us that it was our main control board that was out and that we would need a new board. He advised us that labor would be $135 and that the control board would be $279 for a total charge of $414. We debated whether or not to fix the washer or buy a new one at that point but decided that since the washer was fairly new to go ahead with the repair. We wrote a check to for $250 and were told by the repairman to write it directly to Terry Haynes the manager and not the name of the repair company. We were told that the new part would be available the next Tuesday or Wed. Our check was cashed on 7/6/17. The following week we never received a call. We called to check on the part and were told that they were still waiting for it from the factory. When we still heard nothing that week we called the repairman who advised us that the person who was supposed to have ordered our part had quit and the board had never been ordered. We had to wait another week for them to get the part in. The following week came and after another call to check on the status we were told that it would be in on 7/19. The repairman did call us on 7/19 to tell us he had the part and would be out on 7/20 from 12-2. My wife arranged her work day around this time, he called at 1:30 to say he was on his way but at 4:00 had still not shown. When I called him back he said he had “run out of gas”. We had to again arrange our schedules in order for one us to pick up the kids and he arrived at 4:15. Once he started trying to install the new board it shorted out again. It was then that he found that there was actually an exposed wire in the washer that connected to the board and this was the true cause of our issues. He showed my wife the faulty wire and it was quite obvious and visible without having to remove any other parts (we have pictures if needed). The repairman said that he could "maybe" get this wire fixed for us but another board would have to be ordered. By this point we were over 2 1/2 weeks with no washer and being told we would have to wait another week for it to be "maybe" repaired. We also didn't feel comfortable having him repair an exposed wire that could cause a house fire when he did not sound that confident that he could do so. He then told us that we could call his manager and get our money back and then left. He was there maybe a total of 10-15 minutes and didn't really seem all that interested in repairing our washer any further. Based on the information we were provided about the repair of our washer and being told that we would be given a refund we went that night to order a new one from Lower. Had we been given the correct information about what was wrong during the first visit on 7/3 about a faulty wire we would NOT have decided to repair our washer, we would have gone to purchase a new one that day instead. Our new washer was delivered the next day and I place a call to the manager Terry Haynes 7/21. He was quite abrasive and said that he "wasn't going to be S.O.L." He did offer to come out and fix the wire but by this point we already had a new washer based on what the repairman told us and we had already been dealing with this for nearly 3 weeks. He absolutely refused to offer any kind of refund to us. The first conversation did not go well and but I did call him back about an hour later and tried to explain the whole situation again. Terry did agree at this point to call the repairman and to call me back. I have not received a call back. I did attempt to call hime again Monday 7/23/17 but was unable to leave any sort of message. I would not trust this company at all.

Technician arrived on same day, even though it was after 5:00. Diagnosed problem immediately. Ordered part and fixed, explained everything. Great!

Gary Haynes came to "fix" my LG all-in-one. It was not drying my clothes. He came out Monday 5/1, charged me $402.57 made me pay by check. He cashed check before business day ends, & my machine is still broken. He says he'll be out tomorrow (Tuesday) but he never comes. He even said "Don't worry I'll come after work hours to fix." I come Wednesday morning to find same error message on my machine. He never came. Wednesday he shows up after 11am. But leaves before during cycle ends, which I come to find that my clothes are still very damp: meaning not dry! Thursday he keeps me waiting all day: no show! He calls 6pm assuring me he'll be here first stop Friday. It's now 1pm on Friday 5/5 & another no show. I want my money back! Now
