Healey Company

Mike and his team have now helped us renovate our starter home and our forever home. Our initial job with The Healey Company was finishing an unfinished basement including adding a bathroom. The second renovation included adding a workout room, wine room, bar, new flooring on multiple levels, and multiple lighting elements including a pretty intricate crystal chandelier. They’ve handled everything from cabinets and contoured tops, to full wall mirrors and staircases. The design team helps us narrow down finishes and they also keep everyone on track and on budget. We used Healey company twice and will again in the future because of the quality of their work and the responsiveness of their team. With projects as large as ours we really appreciated how well they communicated and that we could trust them with our home.

We have had two remodels done by Healey Company, a bathroom in 2019 and a kitchen just completed in January of 2021. Their work was outstanding on both projects. Michael Healey hires project managers with a background in design, and it shows in the the planning. Our project managers listened carefully and created plans that reflected our needs and stayed within our budget. They gave us a time frame for the completion of each project, and met the deadlines. The workers were always careful to protect the floors and general space in which they worked. The quality of their work was excellent, the materials used top-notch, and everyone involved was professional, courteous, and very helpful. My husband and I recommend The Healey Company highly.

Our toilet was not properly seated by previous owners of our home, which caused tile damage and a slow leak to the ceiling below. We had a great team of people repair the drywall, install new tile, and repair another drywall/plaster issue in another room. All the work was done perfectly and we were always kept in the loop when it came to the schedule & the work being done that day. Frankie was great to work with when making the tile choice, and managing the work being done. I would not hesitate to call the Healey Company again for remodeling or repairs. We already have a project or two in mind for them in the future.

This is an excellent firm in every way. Their people are fully professional and capable. They have worked for us twice, and both times have done beautiful work. The first time, they remodeled a bathroom, adding a walk-in shower. The second time, they repaired significant amounts of damage caused by a water leak. The Healey Company does not compromise quality and works to the highest standards. You can find companies that charge less, but I don't think you'll find one that does better work. If you want high quality, this is the group to hire.

The Healey Company rightly deserves a top 5 Star rating for the work they have done on our home. They built an additional room to our home and we are very pleased with the end results. From the beginning, they were patient and helpful in developing an architectural plan which went through several drafts. During the construction they were honest and upfront with any additional costs and worked with us to maintain within our budgeted allowance. We were pleased with all suggestions regarding flooring, heating, lighting and air conditioning choices. We were given a realistic and manageable payment schedule which helped us stay within our budget as well. All of the construction professionals were considerate of our needs and our neighbors, plus they did an A+ job and you can tell took pride in their work. We are truly appreciative and would highly recommend the Healey Company to anyone who is considering a home improvement project.

Michael Healey and his team completed a great renovation of a small and challenging house. In particular, the Healey Company. helped put together a great layout for the kitchen, including experienced recommendations for cabinets and other features. In addition, they did their best to work within the budget provided, including obtaining some materials for less than expected. Further, the bathroom tile selections and other finishes met the concept I envisioned. And I'd be remiss not to mention the quality of the finish carpentry and the extra wow factor that it added. Overall, I would hire the Healey Company again in a heartbeat and likely will for my next renovation project.

The Healey Company did a great job of explaining everything that needed to be done from estimate all the way through completion of the project. Their design team made excellent choices and in keeping with the idea that we had first had about the project. After the project was done, we had one small issue come up and they were out that day to fix it!

Thorough, well-informed and innovative renovators who tirelessly worked with us to create a luxurious modern bathroom in an old Highland Park house. Bringing with them a full bank of ideas and experience they were sensitive to our desires and how it could be meaningfully accomplished. They were sensitive to the fact we had children during the construction taking care of dust and debris. They also worked with an inspector who could factor in the structural changes the materials would have on an old house. In the end the bathroom has become the favorite room of the house. We would recommend The Healey Company for any and all home improvement jobs.

The Healey Company are excellent contractors. They are dedicated to quality, completely transparent in their billing/process and are delightful to work with. Everyone from Michael Healey himself, through our project manager Christine and Jim, the foreman on the job were communicative, willing to answer questions and happy to listen to our ideas and concerns. I'm a designer and was very concerned about finding a contractor who would be as concerned about the details as I was and be willing to discuss options--they have absolutely been willing to do this. They've also been very understanding about our need to work within a budget and and more than willing to explore alternatives. And the sub-contractors that they work with have been equally as responsible and communicative. I can't recommend them highly enough and we will engage them for our next remodeling project!!
