I ordered my doors February 18 and it's now mid-July. The original order was quoted as delivering in about 6 weeks by Jason. When I followed up weeks later, he said they didn't place the order in their system until March 1 - no explanation why. It wasn't until May that I got my doors after repeated inquiries, and one set of them was not cut to the right size, plus the guy installed one of them upside down. I'm still waiting on those replacements with no response to any follow ups I've done lately. Last I heard their production manager walked out and deleted customer orders in the process, requiring me to have to re-measure for them to get the doors re-ordered which for some reason shipped from Tampa to Sacramento (?) and god knows where they are now if anywhere. I've spent nearly $4000 with them and the experience has been really poor. The doors I have so far are good and I like them but this is a company that's got "going under" written all over it.

Please do not order from this company. I am in the process of selling my home and wanted to have it on the market in May. I placed an order for new closet doors mid March with a promise from the sales rep, Jason, that they would be in within 4-5 weeks but guaranteed in 6. The gentleman who came out to measure also assured me they would be in within 6 weeks. It has now been well over 14 weeks since I signed my contract and they cannot even tell me if the doors have begun production. I was told just last week there was an issue with obtaining resources. They cannot tell me if and how I can cancel and simply stated there is a clause in the contract that delays may occur. I was just notified by my real estate agent the listing value of my home dropped over $2k from May to July. They will not allow me to cancel and they will not deliver the product. I have called every week for over eight weeks and am now calling daily. Nancy answers each and every time, she is very nice but has no information often stating the plant in CA is non responsive. I asked Jason about the other reviews stating the doors were delayed and he stated those reviews were nonsense - the doors would be in. They have over $2,000 of my money and will not deliver and will not refund my deposit. This company is costing me thousands of dollars due to this delay. I have been deceived by the sales rep, Jason and this company. Do not fall victim to the awful practices of a company who does not honor their word and fails to deliver to their customers.

A very good experience and super happy with our doors. We only went into it expecting to replace a few doors but ended up replacing most of our interior doors.

My wife and I chose Homestory for the installation of our new paneled doors in our home. I should point out that both of us are fairly particular. Homestory has installed the doors and we are extremely pleased with the upgraded appearance, quality of the product, competitive pricing, and the professional customer service that Homestory and Dan Teuscher provided! I had all of my interior doors replaced by HomeStory. The doors were custom fit to the frames and all fit perfectly. Several months after the installation I noticed that one of the bathroom doors would repeatedly tap the strike plate or even slam shut during breezy days, so I called HomeStory for a warranty visit. They sent out the same gentleman who had performed the installation and he installed a magnetic door stopper to fix the problem. He even installed a kick plate on the fire door leading to the garage. Overall I am very pleased with the workmanship.

We hired HomeStory of Chicago to change out all of our interior doors in our 1895 farmhouse. Not only did they have the type of door we were looking for to add to the integrity of the home, but the quality was amazing. It's been several months since the install and the doors look great, really made a high impact to the house with minimal cost compared to what other remodeling projects might run you. Dan and his crew were a pleasure to work with and extremely professional. We had a small issue with one door not staying closed and Dan sent out one of his guys the same day to get it fixed. We would highly recommend their services to friends and family. We continue to get compliments on the doors and people can't believe it when we tell them about the technology used to remove only the existing doors and not the entire door with frame. Saved us time, money, and a lot of dust!
