Artist / Stone Sculptor

I am currently the Secretary and a Director of The Sculptors Society, as well as the Web Coordinator, for hundreds of members. As such I am always surrounded by art and enjoy the company and creativity of many remarkable artists. I would like here to say a few words displaying my admiration for Christophe Conder and his beautiful sandstone sculptures. I have been acquainted with Christophe since 2003 when I joined and he was already active with the society. His mother, Christiane Conder, is also a productive member and had been an influence with Christophe’s early training. It has been a joy for me, each time, to see the latest works created by Christophe, every piece always beautifully photographed in a wonderful natural setting. As the current Web Coordinator, a job I took over from Christophe himself, I have the pleasure of placing these photographs onto our society website. I’ve admired the dedication and determination displayed by Christophe over these many years, including his quest to source the right tools for his carving and his thoughtful final presentation of each finished artwork, all important factors when it comes to the creation of art. I have no hesitation in showing my personal admiration of Christophe’s beautiful sandstone sculptures, and wish that many more people will also have this same opportunity to view and acquire a part of his creative output in the years to come.

We are delighted to have two fine original sculptures from this very talented artist. We have followed his blossoming career over several years, and have recommended him to a number of friends who have all spoken most highly of his creativity and the quality of his timeless work. Chris worked on our project at Cahill Park, Woill Creek on July 2017. His work was impressed by us, landscape architect and the local council. We are all very happy with the outcomes and the work that Chris provided. We will be highly recommended his work and the landscape architect also got his contact for their future projeccts.
