Jacob Bodkin Photography

Jacob Bodkin is an Austin based photographer specializing in Architecture, Interiors, and Commercial Spaces as well as Adventure Sports and Lifestyle photography. A native of Amarillo, Texas, Jacob studied Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University before moving to San Diego, Crested Butte, and several other locations across the American West in pursuit of climbing, surfing, and skiing. After a few years and adventures later, Jacob found himself shooting interiors for an Interior Design friend as a fun side gig. Even though it started out by chance, photographing architecture and interiors quickly grabbed Jacob due to it's mix of creativity and technicality. Jacob's work is known for its mix of artificial and ambient light to artistically capture indoor and outdoor spaces. Every image is expertly crafted with the utmost attention to every single detail. Jacob is dedicated to creating a fun work environment during a shoot, whether in a small downtown Austin apartment or in a remote Wyoming cabin. When Jacob isn't photographing architecture and interiors, he is looking for a new adventure. Anything from photographing climbers on the side of El Capitan in Yosemite Valley, shooting an ad campaign for an apparel and SUP companies, or documenting backcountry skiing in Crested Butte, CO.
