I had a sofa, 3 chairs, and 2 ottomans re-covered and when they were delivered, they were beautiful and still are. I could not have been happier. However, after a couple of weeks, I began noticing problems. The lower cushions on the sofa slide forward every time someone sits on it and gets up. By the 3rd sit-down, it slides approximately 25% out, hanging off the front of the sofa. I have the same problem with one of the chairs, (possibly both, because one of them is rarely used.) But the chair that is used most often--exact same problem. I tried putting pieces of foam (that people use on their mattresses for extra cushioning) under the cushions to stop the slide. It made no difference. I called Jimmy, and he came back out and took a look. He said the problem was not enough dacron and took all my cushions back to the shop to repair. When he brought them back, there was zero improvement. I called him again and left a message. I then sent him an email explaining what was going on. Still hadn't heard a word so I took pictures and texted them to him. Still nothing. I tried calling him again and he answered. I told him again what the problem was and he said he would call me next week to set up a time to come take another look. That call never came. I then called the manager of Cutting Corners in Dallas because they recommended him to me. I told him what was going on. He said he would call Jimmy. 5 minutes later, Jimmy called me and said the exact same thing, that he would call me next week to set up a time to come back out. That was 3-4 weeks ago, and I have heard nothing. I've given up. He's not going to fix it and I'm stuck with what I have. Another problem I'm having is the piping that goes around the edges of the lower cushions have started to sink in the top-center on 2 chairs. I have had this exact same furniture for over 20 years. This is the 3rd time I have reupholstered this furniture. I have NEVER had any of these issues with this furniture before, except one time when the foam got really old and started to collapse. But new foam and fabric? Never. I don't know what's wrong, but I intend to find out, and I assume that if there is a fix, it's going to be expensive. My best guess is that either the cushions were cut too small, and/or the stuffing used is substandard. I'm already out $2,755 not including fabric. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Jimmy Bishop and I will not use him again.

Wow! Our two sofas and chair were just delivered. The craftsmanship is amazing. The reupholstered furniture sits in our business reception meeting room and looks so professional. Jimmy and Alan helped confirm the best fabric of the two we had considered and explained everything. They provide excellent service and prices, with a fabric protector added. Jimmy is the go to man for upholstry! His workmanship is excellent! He recovered my 25 year old couch and made it look brand new! I will definitely use him again! Very pleased!

Jimmy and his group are absolutely the best to work with. They have covered a few home pieces and some office furniture as well. I know that when we call them, they will take care of everything from that phone call forward and I do not have to be concerned. The fact that they are a family business is a free plus!

We had a wonderful experience working with Jimmy and The Upholstery Workroom. They recently reupholstered our heirloom Stickley sofas, and we love how they turned out.
