We have worked with John Gary for 3 home projects over the past few years (2 in our prior home and most recently a master bedroom and bath renovation in our new home). John is very professional, honest, and has always treated every project with the care and quality as if it were in his own home. He provides wonderful advice and direction to our remodeling ideas. The projects were all completed on time and on budget. Most importantly John and his subcontractors provide high quality, professional and impeccable craftsmanship to every project. We have hired John Gray for three projects (a finished basement and two bathrooms), and have had a great experience each time. The last one, a master bathroom renovation that combined space from an old bathroom and walk in closet, was our biggest and most complicated project, and we could not be happier with the result! John helped turned our vision into reality in a number of ways: 1) he gave us a lot of ideas on various aspects of the bathroom where we did not have the experience, 2) the workmanship is excellent - you can see that John has great building skills and extensive experience with these types of projects, 3) he is flexible and willing to make requested modifications on the fly if we thought of something along the way that we didn't anticipate up front, and he would do it without complaining and normally without charging us extra even though we may have caused some extra work for him, 4) he and his crew always cleaned up the site at end of each day and minimized any impact to rest of house, and 5) most importantly, he is trustworthy and always did what he said he would and without any negative surprises in the billing. I would give John the highest recommendation for anyone considering a major renovation project of this type.

John Gray is a true professional in every sense of the word. He is honest, very easy to talk to, which is imperative when working on a renovation and is extremely meticulous. John and everyone who works for him are professional, courteous and always cleaned up after themselves, which really is a big deal when you're under construction for many weeks! He demands quality work and if there is anything that does not meet his high standards, it is rectified. John's work is not only beautiful, it is quality workmanship! My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with John on the 2 biggest projects a homeowner can take on; a master bath and a kitchen; both of which are absolutely gorgeous! I recently hired Gray Contracting Services to add an addition to my home. "Outstanding" does not even begin to describe the quality of John Gray's work, and that of his contracting partners (electrical, plumbing, excavation, roofing). John did much of the work himself and his attention to detail and care to every aspect of the project was terrific. Everyone John brought onto the project was professional, personable and respectful of my home. John just completed a full kitchen remodel and installation of hard wood floors throughout our first floor. John and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. He listened to our wants and needs, and put together a plan that was within our budget. The work was completed with great attention to detail and focus on the small things. Moldings joined together tightly, everything level and straight, and lighting aligned perfectly. John did a great job keeping us informed about upcoming activity, which was much appreciated and really helped us keep track. One thing we particularly appreciated was the clean up at the end of each day and the care taken to try and preserve our normal routines even with kitchen gutted and carpets ripped up. John is definitely a craftsman and takes great pride in the work. He was patient and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. We would not hesitate at all to have John do additional work for us in the future.

Following periods of frustration while seeking experienced, reliable contractors for total renovation of our kitchen & 3 1/2 baths, we were referred to Gray Contracting Services, a firm that readily met and exceeded all our selection criteria. A few pre-contract meetings revealed depth of knowledge, experience, recommendations, responsiveness & a stable of qualified sub-contractors we knew would meet our needs. As we now step back & experience the results, it is clear they include fine craftsmanship, attention to detail, pride on behalf of those who met our needs & a level of quality which in our opinion, would be difficult to match. Add on the fact that all work was done on time, & on budget, we are looking forward to continue working with Gray is we begin renovation on the exterior of our home.

John Gray has worked for us on a number of occasions. His work is excellent. He pays a great deal of attention to getting every detail exactly correct. Last year we had him remodel our master bath. Despite being a quite small space it now feels and looks like a spa! John had a lot of excellent ideas for improving on what we had proposed. His cost estimates were spot on and he kept to a rigorous construction schedule. Over the years we have used a number of really excellent contractors and none have kept as tidy and clean a work space as John and his crew. Every night when he went home everything had been vacuumed an there wasn't a spec of dust left. John has also remodeled our home office, Laundry room and kitchen with the same excellent results. I highly recommend Gray Contracting Services for any home remodeling project.

I was hired to photograph a barn renovation kitchen that John was contracted to install. His work is outstanding and his attention to detail is impeccable. After seeing the kitchen images, I was thrilled when he hired me to photograph two contemporary bathrooms, which were just as impressive. Whether it's a historic home or a modern design, I would highly recommend John. As the saying goes "A photograph doesn't lie", it's true! I look forward to capturing more of John's work.

Years of DIY repairs have provided a lot of insight into how to hire the right contractor. If you want professional, quality outcome, don't do it yourself, hire a professional. And for the big jobs, such as a simultaneous renovation involving 3 bathrooms, hire a General Contractor with the right skills and experience necessary for the job. We were hesitant at first to move forward with a project this size and involved, but after interviewing a number of contractors we selected John Gray Contracting and could not be more pleased with our decision and the final outcomes for the entire Reno-project. John was on time, on budget and more important on-site or responsive to handle any problems and address all of our questions or concerns. Both John and his crew of sub-contractors treated our project with an attention to detail that put us at ease during the entire process. No more contractor interviews – John Gray Contracting will be our first and only contractor of choice for any future renovation or home improvement plans.
