Robert, Joe and their crew did an amazing job with our yard and patio. With multiple unsuccessful contractors since purchasing our brand new home we finally found the one. Rubino Landscapes were extremely professional, hard working and very detailed. If you’re on the fence or just kicking the tires, don’t waste your time like we did shopping quotes that would have never accomplished the tasks/challenges that Rubino Landscape overcame. We will be having them do the front landscaping in the Spring. Great quality and very detailed work !!! Thanks again guys.

A front birm was planted with multiple shrubs and perennials and out cropping rocks. Mulch was also applied to the area.

"Don't forget to set your clocks to Spring Ahead on Saturday!" Chirps the smiling young lady on the tv. I am thinking grumpy, grey, definitely Non-Spring-like thoughts as I look out the window. It is snowing. And cold. Bleak and dreary. I am NOT happy. This is my second spring since I moved two growing zones "up north". My eleven year old special needs daughter bounces in. "Mama! It's snowing!" I scowl. She pats my shoulder and says, "It's ok Mama. Mr. Rubino will come soon and make everything beautiful again." I must admit that she's right. Joe Rubino has a unique talent for making the bleakest of landscapes into the perfect vision each individual homeowner. Even a homeowner as challenging to work with as I am. I am a fifth generation Master Gardener who has a vision of what her dream landscape would look like, loves gardens but hates the maintenance, and has been spoiled by living for 20 years in a beautiful, fertile, much warmer and sunnier climate than this one. Mr. Rubino came highly recommended to me by the previous homeowner, who had a completely different landscaping style than I. He was aging and set in his ways, and while his wife enjoyed flowers, he needed to shift to a lower-maintenance landscape. Mr. Rubino did a very nice job accommodating the needs of both the homeowner and his wife, using a combination of hardscaping and low maintenance plants that blended so well with natural topography of the yard and ponds, that people often mistake our yard for a public park, laying out picnic blankets and fishing poles before we tell them that this is actually private property. I explained my ambitious plans for my four-acre property to Mr. Rubino as we walked the yard shortly after I moved in. With a few small changes and sculpting of trees and bushes, Mr. Rubino was able to create a vision from my many windows that is truly beautiful all year round. Even in the winter, 100 year old trees frame beautiful sunsets overlooking the ponds. He and his crew keep the yard impeccably maintained throughout the year, and as I sit here on this cold day with my flower catalogs, I continue to dream of my long-term plans while being satisfied with the yard as it is. I remember that every year, near the end of a long winter that I feel will never end, there are bulbs gathering strength to bring forth their bright scent and color. Leaf and flower buds are getting ready to form on dry-looking sticks, which will soon cover the archway on the garden path with abundant blossoms. Soon my yard will be fragrant and lovely, blending in with the natural landscape that has been here for hundreds of years. I will have bright green herbs to cook with, and fragrant plants that release their scent as my dogs brush past them on the garden paths on the way into my home. Colorful bouquets to bring to neighbors and place on my kitchen table, butterflies and hummingbirds visiting my flowering plants, and perfect nesting spots for song birds in the evergreens, maples, and crabapple trees. Rubino Landscaping is a dream come true for this gardener and nature lover. I never would have thought that I could have a four-season landscape as beautiful as this so far "up north". From small substitutions to accommodate the different growing zones, to enchanting ideas for larger projects, Mr. Rubino is creative, enthusiastic, listens carefully to the homeowner, and most importantly does excellent and careful work. I highly recommend this company.

I HIGHLY recommend Rubino Landscapes! We bought a new house for us and recently had to cover up a giant Koi pond in our back yard from the previous owners.. It was about 1000 gallons and took up a space of nearly 1000 square foot.. I had many contractors come and give estimates.. Most of their prices were in the stratosphere and they had all these unnecessary contingencies.. (one guy wanted to charge me $2000 alone just to haul out the dirt!!).. Luckily I found Joe.. He took one look at our Pond area, and recognized that there was more than enough material (the previous owners had built a waterfall on a hill) to fill up the pond.. He was able to do this in less then a day and saved us a ton of money.. He then delivered and laid down enough sod to cover the area.. The grass took almost immediately to our yard and the following year the grass was still green and growing.. (and honestly, I didn't water it like I was supposed to, but its still looking great to this day!).. I cannot go on at how helpful and affordable Joe was.. Rubino Landscapes provided tremendous value. We will be using them again this summer to install our patio!

I am so happy with the professionalism and knowledge of Rubino Landscapes! I went on a recommendation from a friend to contact Rubino Landscapes for the work I wanted done in my yard. The project manager, Ribert met with me and listened to my ideas. Before leaving Robert had already done a sketch of what could be done in my yard. A couple days later we met again. A plant list and pictures, brick samples for my patio and ideas for perennials that would give me lasting color were shown. The next day we called Rubino Landscapes to hire them to create not only our backyard retreat but also to beautify our front and side yards.
