Laura has designed the new kitchen and the balcony in our 100+ years old house. Throughout the project she demonstrated her creativity, but yet precision as well as patience, perseverance and integrity. Her service oriented practice has made our lives much easier during the chaos of renovations. It has been a pleasure to work with Laura and I am looking forward to our next project together!

We hired Laura for a Reno of the main floor of our Bungalow. She helped us figure out what we wanted and how to get it without going over budget. I can't say enough. The finished product is beautiful and functional. Laura was amazing to work with, professional, fun and talented.

As a bespoke cabinetry manufacturer, working with designers proves challenging at times so when we started working with Laura we were thrilled. She is easy to communicate with, goes above and beyond not only for the clients but for suppliers also, showing appreciation and respect every step of the way. She understand limitations of design and application to certain materials and is always a real "solutions finder". She makes herself available for questions and concerns every step of the way and has a much needed soothing approach to renovation. From our first meeting October 2015 at a local coffee shop to review our ideas of returning to Montreal (Baie d'Urfé) home after retirement December 2016. Laura was hired to completely renovate our home a traditional side split level, our goal was to create an open living concept maximizing space. Laura created a home for us that enhanced luminosity in all rooms along with a very pleasing architectural look that updated this 1954 house. Laura was exceptional in her attention to details, patient and communicative in managing this process within our budget as we lived out of province throughout this construction period from August -December 2016. Our goal in enjoying our retirement living in comfort enjoying terrific views and trouble free for the next decade so. We are thankful for her.

My husband and I sought Laura's help with the planning of the kitchen and pantry in our open-concept, contemporary-style house when it was in the process of being built in a small town outside of Ottawa, Canada. All our correspondence was done from half-way around the world via one Skype call and many email communications. From our first contact, Laura represented to us a sigh of relief - , she offered us a very welcome sense of calm and competence. She patiently talked us through our vision for our house; its overall style, our choice of the different materials and colours, With her encouragement and professional enthusiasm, Laura guided us towards a pleasing cohesive design for our future home. We had the pleasure of working with Laura in the fall of 2015. The project was to renovate the first floor and basement of a dated 1966 duplex and transform it into a modern, up to date, living space which Laura successfully did ! We now have a beautiful home.. Laura is very professional, always punctual and smiling. She provided excellent ideas and various options for us to choose from while respecting our budget. She is very knowledgeable and resourceful (supplied the name of a structural engineer as well as the name of two contractors to bid on our project).. The renovations were major and took almost a year. During that period, I kept in touch with Laura via emails asking her decorating questions. She always replied quickly and often sent me links to help me make choices Although the project is finished, I still keep in touch with Laura and recently consulted her as to the type of rugs and color scheme to use for our open concept. We would not hesitate to call upon Laura should we renovate again. We highly recommend her.

I had the pleasure of working with Laura after we bought a house that needed a complete makeover. The house had had no renovations since it was built in the mid eighties. Laura was able to give me great ideas on how to open up the main floor, she produced a couple of options. She immediately understood exactly what I wanted. She was very helpful with the color choses, I would never have chosen those colors yet once the house was painted it looked fabulous. Laura was extremely aware of the budget and respected it 100% I would definitely recommend her!

We hired Laura Sehn to design our basement. From the beginning, Laura has demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail. She is a brilliant visionary and transformed our dull and dark basement into a beautiful and functional family living space. I have to admit that I was rather doubtful of what she promised she would achieve. However, we are beyond delighted by the final outcome. Laura’s ideas went far beyond what we had ever imagined: she created a beautiful desk area, cedar closet, as well as large amounts of storage space, a beautiful bathroom and laundry room. Her choice of materials, colours and designs made it so easy for us. Laura was so attentive to our choices and selections and presented us with a carefully selected products from which to choose. I am so grateful for what Laura has done for our family and I really hope we get to work with her again in the future.

My partner and I bought a home in Pointe-Claire built in 1941. We loved the original hardwood floors, the baseboards, and the mouldings. The house had so much charm but it needed to be updated to contemporary standards. Laura from Atelier 2181 showed us how to add a powder room on the main floor, reconfigure the upstairs floor plan to expand the bathroom and add a walk-in closet, and open up the main floor for an open-concept feel. She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer any and all questions we ever had. Laura was also well-prepared for all meetings with multiple ideas and back-up plans so that we could make an informed decision. Overall, the experience with Atelier 2181 was phenomenal and I would highly recommend their services to anyone tackling an interior design or decorating project.

My husband and I purchased a new home and we were struggling to understand what to do to make our kitchen both functional and beautiful. We reached out to Laura at Atelier 2181 and she responded that very day. She came to the house, took pictures and asked questions about our needs as well as how we though we would use the space. Soon after she sent us 2 great options. We chose from that, made small changes and started the process of building with a contractor. We can't believe how easy Laura made it. It seemed to us to be overwhelming and yet to Laura she took everything in stride. In record time and many emails and calls later we have our dream kitchen we love! Our fear was we had not lived in the house yet so we wondered if there would be any regrets. Today,7 months later and we can say with certainty that its everything and more we could have dreamed of. She helped us make our house and home! Laura was instrumental in this journey and it was a pleasure working with someone so professional. She always got back to us even for the smallest of questions and without a doubt we could not have done this without her.
