Origins Residential Design

I've had the privilege of working with Dan and Origins Design staff for more than a decade and have to say he is a brilliant creative genius. Every house is original, never the same house twice and my customers like the fact that they have a one and only home designed by the Master!

Let us start by saying Thank you to Origin's Residential Design. When Designing a custom home you need someone who can clearly see your vision and have the knowledge to guide you in the right direction. We were blessed to be introduced to Dan by a friend of ours and former client of his. We immediately knew we wanted to have Dan design our dream home. His ability to listen and genuine concern for our satisfaction was clear. He also has a great sense of humor which helps when making decisions of such importance. I wanted to stop by once a week so he could make me laugh. Dan offered to take us and show us some of his projects, which we loved his willingness to share his time and to see the quality of his work first hand , he did not disappoint his work was beautiful. When we met back to see what he had designed for us, we were amazed how he made our vision come to life, his creative talents were fantastic and his ability to work out our needs in the most creative ways were great. Our house ended up being much larger than we had anticipated Approx. 8000 living and 14,000 under roof. We worried that some homes of that size just seem big and cold and also cut up where as we wanted our home to be a place where people could come and feel just that "at home". Dan was able to do that for us, designing a living space we could both live in and entertain in, both feeling equally comfortable, but also flowed well, Thank you Dan. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how nice Mary is in the office always knowing who you are when you call and greeting you with a smile and her willingness to help. Gary is fantastic, he takes Dan's drawings and brings them to life as a construction drawing. Gary is the one that feels the brunt of all our changes. His calm domineer and willingness to do what ever you need without making you feel like you are bothering him is so comforting. At this stage small changes are important, but if you felt you were a bother it would make them and the experience less enjoyable, Gary eases your mind and is always happy " or at least makes you feel he is ;o)" to help, Thank you Gary. We are now in the structural engineering stage and as with the truss engineering stage Origins team are still fully involved and helping insure the quality and integrity of the home is in tack finding seemingly small issues that could ultimately become big issues down the road. We are comforted knowing they are on our team and are so glad we met them. Dan is a fantastic designer, one of the most "gifted" I have ever worked with. He is also a great guy and easy to work with. I highly recommend him.

Origins did a fantastic job designing our home. We began the process not knowing how to describe what we wanted but had several pictures of houses we liked. Dan asked a lot of questions and listened to some of the smallest details we mentioned. When we received the rendering of our house it was the HOME that we dreamed about having. We had to work with Dan remotely because we live in a different state but it wasn't an issue at all. It's so important to have someone who understands and listens to what you want and helps you through this overwhelming process. That's exactly what we received with Origins.

Dan helped me realize my vision of design by making suggestions to keep the project on theme, offering multiple versions of floor plan and of course the exterior aesthetic.
