I purchased almost $9,000 in patio furniture in April from Patio.com, and received confirmation for both orders. I followed up by e-mail 3 weeks later to find out an estimated ship date and never received a response. I then called and my information was taken and I was told the guy who handles the online orders would get back to me. I e-mailed again 2 weeks later and followed up with a phone call when I didn't receive a response. I was told that the same guy would be e-mailed again and one of the 'big bosses' would be copied on the e-mail. A week later I still had not heard back and sent another e-mail, and the online order guy finally called me. He had bad news and said that the order was never processed because he did not have my phone number. I looked at the order and it had my phone number on it in 2 different spots. Every time I had e-mailed him, my phone number was also included. I asked if they could give me a deep discount for all of the hassle. He spoke with his manager and they could only provide a $100 discount. I cancelled the order, and will place the order with a company that we have had good experiences with. I would warn you to steer clear of online orders with this company.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY'S FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES! I placed a phone order yesterday for 2 chaise lounges which were out of stock. I agreed to wait for delivery and allowed the charge to go through. However, when I received the receipt via email for me to confirm, the terms at the bottom said the following: THE SALE IS FINAL & CANNOT BE CANCELLED. PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. I WAIVE MY RIGHT TO DISPUTE CHARGES THROUGH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY OR THE COURTS. In no way would I ever accept these terms and immediately notified them through email and phone of this. Neither on the phone nor under the return policy on the website were these terms disclosed. I asked for my $ back and was refused. I alerted my credit card company. I later received a VM which said my order was a special order. Again, this was never disclosed to me on the phone nor is it printed on the receipt. On the company website product page in NO PLACE does it say that the color I chose was custom. The color choice is listed as an option with the implication it is a stock color; I went so far as to go through the ordering screens, up to the payment page and still there is no mention of this. IN EFFECT, IF YOU GIVE PATIO.COM A CREDIT CARD, WHETHER OR NOT YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS THEY PROVIDE AFTER THE CHARGE IS PUT THROUGH, THEY GET TO HOLD ON TO YOUR $$ FOREVER ON THEIR TERMS. I will remain persistent in fighting to get my money back.
