PAULA+MARTHA creates innovative and refined spaces tailored to the way people live. We put a fresh spin on classic inspiration to create uniquely personal and thoroughly functional interiors. Award-winning designers Paula Caravelli and Martha Angus met while working at Naomi Leff & Associates and launched their own bi-coastal firm in 2005. The designers work together and independently on a broad range of projects - from sprawling country retreats to sleek urban pied-a-terres. Known for her extensive background and interest in fine art, as well as a strong affinity with color, texture and proportion, New York-based Caravelli oversees the firm’s East Coast projects. Her notable residential projects include private Manhattan residences for Ralph Lauren and Evelyn and Leonard Lauder. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Elle Decor, Luxury Home Quarterly and HGTV as well as prominent designer show houses and home tours. Angus commands the West Coast office, with a remarkable career that spans virtually every type of dwelling, including projects close to home and as far away as the Hawaiian Islands, Europe, Asia and Australia. Supported by a diverse team of designers, architects and artists, PAULA+MARTHA approaches each project from a comprehensive and unique perspective.
