Pazmany Bros. Landscaping is a second generation family owned and operated business. Established in 1981, we have been providing valued services to our customers in the local community for over 34 years. Pazmany Bros. was founded by brothers Joe and Pete Pazmany. Joe Pazmany was a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and held a Bachelors of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture. His initial experience involved maintaining the golf courses for the City of Sunnyvale. Joe took his desire to create and put to work creating beautiful landscapes with his brother Pete. Joe passed in 2007 after a valiant effort fighting cancer. Yet the dream continues to live on. Pete Pazmany is a graduate of San Jose State and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance, and continued his education at Stanford University. Pete has been responsible for back office activities, although you will occasionally see him in the field ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. As the dream lives on, a second generation takes hold. Pete’s son, Peter, graduated from Chapman University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management, and a minor in Organizational Leadership. Peter currently oversees the day to day operations, and assists his father with the administrative activities. Our family brings a wide array of business know how to the industry. Our primary objective as a family operated business is to ensure that we deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction through our superior craftsmanship, attention to details, and timely response to customer needs.

It was a pleasure to work with Peter Pazmany and his crew. They brought creativity, hard work and professionalism AND a great attitude to the project. We really do love the results and feel as if he was able to deal with our wishes but also give us advice as to plants that were appropriate for our yard - which has an abundance of sun. Peter also provided some ideas halfway through the project that caused our final result to exceed our expectations. I really appreciated him stepping out with the ideas that made a big difference.

Peter's and his crew do great work. They are extremely knowledgeable and responsive. I've hired them for two client projects and both times they have met unreasonable requests and even more unreasonable timelines without flinching. They have rebuilt entire irrigation systems, switched plant orders and taken on lots of additional work never once saying they couldn't do what was requested. Yes, they are expensive but not more than other top tier landscaping companies and the entire team, Peter, Kevin, Francisco, Ramon, Armando, Victor are all a pleasure to work with.

Peter seems like a good person but they quote you one price then do not bill you until weeks later going over the set budget you agreed to originally. They bill roughly 80-90/hr for the labor which most of the work was not agreed upon. Make sure you get the scope of work and set the price in writing before working with Pazmany Bros Landscaping. Responding to Peter- we had no written agreement in you moving forward with a lot of the work. You charged us 42/hr x 2 people which comes out to about $84/hr for your labor. I gave you a quote on the work you did for 7k via email and you felt you could add on numerous other little details without my consent or written consent nor a change order which is required by law. You also billed us weeks after your team was gone. I wish we could have figured this out before we completed our yard. Now having completed most of the work as well as fixing a few of the mistakes made by your team I do think you overcharged us and took advantage of the situation. I hope people take the time to interview other companies before making their decision. In the long run we were billed over $10k+ what was originally agreed upon.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I thought it would make sense for me to address your comments. Our general labor is $42 per hour. We had a time and materials agreement with you, which you agreed to and were happy for us to begin work immediately. Since it was a Saturday when we met and you asked us to begin work the following week, we did our best to move as quickly as possible. The entire scope was not agreed upon, which is why we recommended a time and materials rate.

You paid us weekly as we completed work. You continued to ask for more work. You then paid us. Everybody was happy, and the project was coming together nicely. We met all of your demands and timelines. We repeated this process, which was our agreement.

However, you then decided to stop paying. We kept working, not knowing you would (eventually) refuse to pay. We now understand other Contractors have had problems collecting payments from you - so it looks like this is a trend in how your operate.

This is the first time I have had a Client agree to pay us for work completed and then refuse an invoice. It is not our goal to ever take this to a public forum, but I feel the need to share our side of the story. It has been our goal to resolve this issue without involving my legal team any further.
