We hired Red Cedar to plant a row of hedge bushes in front of our property and relocate existing bushes to other areas. Though early communication went well, the wheels came off as the planting started. First, the crew showed up without any notice. We simply looked outside and saw people using pick axe to take out previous bushes. It also happened on the day we were traveling for a wedding. So we had to delay our plans and wait till everything was done. Second time the crew came to finish the project, it was also without any heads up. After initial planting communication got progressively worse. We wanted to burlap bushes for the winter, but despite several follow ups that never happened. This year, we needed to replace a few bushes that didn't survive the winter. Despite promises of prompt call back, we have yet to have Red Cedar contact us back.

I had Red Cedar take down an enormous trees on my property. They were very professional upon giving me an estimate and the price was reasonable considering the large task to be taken care of. My yard was left in good standing with no holes in the ground from falling limbs and it was left very clean. If you need a professional company for landscaping, choose Red Cedar.

Since my initial review Steve and Mark have made a huge effort to make good on their service, performing a bunch of work at no cost, that was much appreciated.

We hired a another highly qualified ceritifed Arborist to keep up with our clients needs. As I agreed with you, I will send him down to write the plan. I have had the pleasure of witnessing the growth and maturity of Steve Relyea as a person, and his company, Red Cedar Landscaping over the last 20 years. Steve is hard working, dedicated and as honest as they come. He instills these qualities in his employees and it shows in their projects. Red Cedar is a full-service landscape company, with key personnel in charge of every facet of the business. As an Architect of high end residential projects, I have been fortunate to work with their company to have trees removed, landscaping of masonry and shrubbery, and consultations with the best Arborists. One of the many things that I admire about Steve is that he relentlessly tries to make himself and his business better. He continually pursues continuing education classes for business growth, and new methods of landscaping. He cares about his employees, and this shows in their dedication to him and each project they are hired to do. I would not hesitate to recommend Red Cedar Landscaping for any type of landscaping project.

I contacted Steve Relyea with Red Cedar Landscaping to get some advice on planning out a patio project, and he handed me over to his landscape architect, Mike Boice, who did an outstanding job. We wanted a bar, firepit, hot tub area, and general entertainment space with a grill, and some rock walls! Due to our large area and budget, we told him we had to do stamped concrete, but didn't want it to look like a cement jungle or parking lot. He met with us, we showed him the available space, and he came back with an amazing plan that we would have NEVER dreamed of ourselves! He came back countless times to double check measurements, check on progress, and finally to see the final product. It was SO worth getting a drawing done to have everything done right the first time, making sure we had all of the elements, and more! He was a joy to work with, so patient and genuinely interested throughout the whole process. Steve and Mike were very professional and were always available to help with any questions or issues we had throughout the project. I would highly recommend Mike and Red Cedar to anyone doing a yard project! Trish
