Our new addition gives out onto a rock ledge with an uneven grade – while the rock was beautiful to behold, it was completely unusable as an outdoor space. Our dream was to build a stone terrace that could be integrated into the rock ledge. It took 3 years meeting with various stone masons before we finally found Rigo. He listened carefully and impressed us with how fully he embraced the unique beauty of the site. His initial vision for how it could be transformed gave us a strong feeling of confidence that not only did he understand what would work best with our site, but he would bring great artistry to the project. Rigo has a great eye for design and ensures the project respects the land and complements the house, while taking care to incorporate desired functionality. Throughout the project, he was a consummate professional and a genuine pleasure to work with. His team was first rate - a highly talented crew with a meticulous eye for detail who take great pride in their work. Rigo was very involved in the project, visiting regularly and often participating directly in the work. Pricing was fair and when issues or changes would come up, Rigo was always responsive, offering alternatives and helpful recommendations. We came to trust him completely. The terrace is gorgeous and artfully integrated into the existing terrain. It has exceeded all expectations and is a testament to this team of exceptional craftsmen. I cannot recommend Rigo more highly.

Rigo didn't just meet my high expectations, he blew them away. Not only did he vastly improve on our own designs, what he came up perfectly suits our home and gracefully complements our yard. During the work Rigo was at the site very frequently, particularly in the first half of the project, and barely a day went by when he was not checking in on things and making sure they were precisely as he wanted them to be. I also found Rigo to be incredibly fair and honest. When we encountered an unexpected (and significant) pre existing problem, he and his men quickly investigated it and fixed it, and did so at a very fair rate. Finally, Rigo's men were consistently hard working and friendly, it is not an easy thing to wave to the children in the window every five minutes when you are carrying heavy stones in the summer sun, but they did. From start to finish, our entire experience with De La Paz Masonry has been fantastic, and we are already lining up future projects.

We completed a patio remodel with Rigo and his team, and we are beyond thrilled with the end result. Rigo took the time to meet with us, walk around our property, and discuss what we desired from a usability standpoint as well as overall aesthetics. Rigo provided very prompt and reliable service - even met us in the evening and turned around quotes for work very quickly. I was recommended to Rigo by my brother, who'd worked with him for several years. Though I'd intended to build a fairly typical deck, Rigo quickly convinced me to instead work in stone. He took the time to understand not just my layout, but my aesthetics and my goals. Rigo was inspired. Seeing that understanding, it was easy to allow him to work, using only my own working drawings and trust in his dedication to doing my project as if it was his own. My home would not be what it is today, had I not put my trust in Rigo, in his understanding and his vision. Rigo is an artist in stone and plants.

We have done multiple projects with the De La Paz company and are 110% pleased with the work that has been done. Not only is the work top notch but the daily crew and Owner of the business were a pleasure to work with. Id recommend them to my Mom if she needed some work done ;) Each day the team showed up on time, went to work, worked very hard but also very thoughtful and when the day was done they cleaned up every little bit of the job site... it was like they hadn't even been at our home. Just super professional all around. BTW- we did three projects- a slate patio, new/replacement slat front walkway and stairs and new fireplace facade- all projects were fantastic!

Rigo did 2 projects for us. The first was in the summer of 2015 - he expanded our patio and stone wall. We asked him to bid on a different project but he creatively came up with a better idea that not only cost less, it was exactly what we wanted but didn't know it at the time. He has a very talented masonry crew. They expanded our stone patio and made the new one blend in perfectly with the old. Rigo through in a few other landscaping suggestions that made total sense. He listens and he thinks about his customer. We trusted his judgement and his honesty so much that we hired him to do another smaller patio this summer without bothering to get other bids. We recommend him and his crew very highly.

We've used De La Paz Masonry on two projects: The reconstruction of our driveway, front steps and retaining wall in 2011 and for the reconstruction of our rear patio in 2015. Both projects were executed quickly and completed on time. Further, both incorporated design that complemented our home — a unique mid-century Modern — perfectly. Pricing was fair and reflected the workmanship that was delivered.

Rigo expanded my patio and built a sitting wall and fire pit from field stone from my property. He also built a bluestone patio around my pool as well as a number of stone paths around my property. Rigo and his team are very professional, do really nice work, and all his work is fairly priced.

De la Paz Masonry redesigned and expanded my existing flagstone patio. They added a retaining wall, new steps (formal and informal), reset the entire existing patio and built a seating bench/wall. I was very happy with their design suggestions, quality of the finished product, time that it took to construct as well as the work ethic and courteousness of their staff. All in all, a great experience with this company and I would recommend for any masonry related projects- big or small.

Very professional service. They discussed and considered our requirements and then provided ideas and solutions with detailed estimates for all the work. Once the work commenced they arrived promptly each day, completing the work on time and within budget. The company owner was also present each day to question whether the work was proceeding in line with our expectations and if not was happy to alter/refine and change what was being done. Altogether a very good experience.

Rigo and his crew transformed our property, clearing trees, leveling the side yard, expanding and beautifully paving our driveway with decorative belgian block aprons and pavers, building beautiful stone walls and pillars, landscaped flower beds, and a staircase off the back deck to access the new yard. We were so pleased with their work that we retained De La Paz as our landscapers for weekly mowing, weeding, and property management. Rigo even does our snowplowing. He has re-sealed our driveway and cleans gutters too. He is always readily available and receptive to our phone calls and texts. Highly recommend!

De La Paz Masonry has worked with me for many years and consistently provided excellent service and good value. Additionally we turn to them for their very qualified eye and design sense. Fully capable at the mundane tasks of tree service and landscape maintenance they excel at stonework design and installation. They have repaired 100 year old stone walls, installed flagstone patio and restored a stone bridge. I highly recommend them.

Our whole back garden had been obliterated during Sandy. Rigo understood completely what I was looking to create. His sketch created the arbor with the holly bush behind as the focal point and built the patio and supporting wall to my specified material. The plantings were limited to our budget. It's a lovely use of space.

He has a very good design sense and is a pleasure to work with. He worked within our budget and we were very pleased with the outcome. We will be using him again this spring to redo our driveway.

The stucco installation that Rigo Lua completed on our house exceeded our expectations. My husband and I live in a raised ranch and the foundation before the stucco work looked very weathered and stained. The stucco installation on the foundation complemented the vinyl siding and made the house look updated with great curb appeal. We also enjoyed working with Rigo Lua and highly recommend him for future projects. His work and crew are very professional. He stayed true to the budget and all the timelines that were promised to us during the installation.
