Rogers Development

I have worked with Rogers Development as a sub-contractor for the past couple of years and I will have to say that they are one of the best in the business. They have a great staff of employees to handle every customer/client need and take care of their sub-contractors really well. They are very easy to work with. I would highly recommend Rogers Development for any of your new home construction projects.

My wife & I chose Rogers Development to build our custom home after meeting Jeff @ a home show in Kingsport. When we met Jeff, we had already received three estimates from other builders, and we had decied on our builder, but hadn't signed a contract. After meeting with Jeff, and reviewing their website, we contacted him for an esitmate. Once we met him to review the final estimate, we knew they were our choice for building our home. The level of detail that was provided in the estimate provided a high level of comfort with the quote he provided. Compared to the quotes provided, Rogers was the 2nd most expensive quote, but with the level of detail, we felt comfortable that we would be able to get the house & quality we wanted while not exceeding the quote. Overall, we are very pleased with how our house turned out. The built ins, molding & the trim throughout the home look great. We are very pleased with the fireplace & the built in shelves on each side are beautiful, and we receive many compliments on them. With regard to Jimmie & Jeff, they are both very professional & easy to work with during what can be a very stressful time in building a home. Jimmie was on site most every day, and really was the point person with the project as it moved along. We were very pleased with all, but one, of the sub-contractors and would rate their quality of work & service very high. The issue we experienced was with the painters, and the quality of their work was lacking, and left us extremely disappointed. As we worked through the painting issue, Jeff follow-up with us to work to improve our satisfaction with the work, which included hiring another painting contractor to correct many of the issues we experienced. In the future, we would certainly use Rogers Development again, but would ensure the painting contractor used in the past didn't have any part of the new project. Again, very pleased with the overall project & quality of their work.

As an architect, I was very selective of the contractor to build my new house. After exhaustive research, I was attracted to Rogers Development. Their staff is most competent and professional and are equipped to offer expertise advice in each phase of the project. They were able to help me control my budget through preconstruction analysis, where alternative and optional solutions were offered. Their subcontractors are carefully selected to bring not only years of experience to the project, but also the best in quality. On going communications with Rogers Development was always encouraged and met with a with courteous and professional response. My house was successfully completed and is being enjoyed daily. I highly recommend their company to anyone pursuing a new construction project.

Rogers Development produces an exceptionally built, quality custom home! From day one, the entire team at Rogers Development has exceeded our expectations. We "shopped" around for the best contractor to build our custom "forever home" and there was no question who we would select once we met with Jeff. Jeff and his team have been attentive and professional every step of the way, answering questions and keeping our project on budget and on time. Josh, our Project Coordinator, is extremely personable and more than willing to answer our questions and concerns at any time, while helping us to make the best selections for our home. The quality of workmanship that goes into a "Rogers Home" is second to none. Their knowledge and attention to detail is evident in the quality craftsmanship of their homes. If we were asked to choose Rogers Development again... no question, hands-down, "YES!" We love our new home!

My husband and I hired Rogers Development to build a house for us in 2010. In 2012 we hired them once again to build a house for my mother. Both homes were done in a timely manner. We now have two beautiful homes that we are very proud of! I would highly recommend them! They are honest and very easy to work with!

We first met Jeff and Jimmie Rogers at a home show in Johnson City then again several weeks later at the Kingsport home show and they called us by name. First impression was good so we talked further. They brought their elite designs to the shows I joked and said they were too expensive for my budget assuming this after admiring their designs, the quality and end products were breath taking. Jeff said give us chance we will give you the same treatment on the budget you present to us. We agreed later on a budget and soon broke ground on our land. Jeff and Jimmie are very knowledgable and professional. The craftsmanship of each of their crew members from start to finish from the time we first met to when they handed us the keys is unlike any of the others we encountered. We interviewed 5 different ones from pricing to actually viewing a on site on each. These guys are not cheapest but not the most expensive but I feel like we were treated as their number one priority but come to find out that's just how they roll. It's a family business for them and they make you feel like family by the time your finished. Thanks to all of their crew including their wives for their advice on color choices for making our dream come true on our farm house design. We are home!

We hired Rogers Development to design and build outdoor space (patio, pergola, stone fireplace, hottub and kitchen). The quality and results were outstanding! Jeff Rogers has a very creative vision for outdoor space. We enjoy using our outdoor patio very much and receive compliments everyday. The only negative experience we had was with the Viking hottub/spa subcontractor from Knoxville, TN (out-of-town) that Rogers hired. However, even though the hottub/spa subcontractor was not willing to fix the problems, Jeff always found better solutions at his expense and was very prompt in responding to our requests. The quality and beauty of our outdoor space is very remarkable. We love and enjoy our view everyday.

After speaking with several local contractors, we chose Rogers Development because they came highly recommended and offered services that other pros did not. We built our first and only home, so staying within our budget was important to us. The fact that Jeff provided a detailed, line by line estimate (when no one else did) and efficient billing system was very helpful. Rogers also allowed us to further customize our home during construction - we made several changes, bought materials, even used different subs and they didn't mind. Speaking of sub contractors - they are excellent! - which is one of the reasons why the quality of Rogers Development homes is so great. The excavators, framers, electricians, plumbing, finish carpenters, siding, and concrete were just a few of the crews that did a great job. Out of more than 20 subs that worked on our home, we were only not satisfied with one. Even though it was frustrating, that percentage is good. When we brought up concerns, needed things fixed, or asked stupid questions (we didn't know what we were doing!!) - Jimmie made sure they were addressed and resolved. We would hire them again, recommend them to anyone, and be willing to answer any questions of potential clients.

Rogers Development built our 7,000 square foot custom home in 2013. The quality of their work was evident even before we signed the construction contract. They researched and provided a very detailed cost estimate based on our specific selections whereas other contractors we spoke with provided estimates based on their normal allotments. They were extremely helpful throughout both the design and selection process. Their subcontractors were top quality. Either Jimmie or Jeff Rogers (the owners) were on site daily throughout the entire project to check on the progress. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the construction and will utilize them should we build again in the future.
