I found Steve and his crew to be exceptionally conscientious and reliable in the work they did at my house. Besides the original work I hired him for, Steve was able to recommend a few additional, highly necessary, repairs and improvements to get the job done right. His prices were competitive, and in a market where reliable, high-quality contractors are tough to find, well worth the money. I would highly recommend Steve and Sacred Oak Homes to anyone!

Steven is more than just a general contractor - he is a multi-talented carpenter, a generous collaborator, and an artist. I first hired him several years ago to make my home more airtight and energy efficient, which he did thoroughly (no more draft!) In that process he found a gap in the frame of my house that my home had just worked around. Steven took the time to figure out how to fix it, an act of healing for which I am very grateful. Most recently, I came to Steven with the idea to redesign my large entryway, adding a half bath and an office. He worked with me, never imposing anything but helping me find the best ways to realize my ideas with the latest technologies and creative solutions. He even found some beautiful scrap hardwood to use as shelving inside the closet - a small detail that makes my home all the more special. I’ve recommended Steven to my closest friends, so I’m more than happy to spread the word - if you can get Steven, you’re in luck. He really is the tops!

As an architect, it was a pleasure and a huge piece of mind to have Steve and his crew carry out the construction of one of my projects. Steve is a consummate professional who never hesitated to call me for clarifications or to offer suggestions that saved the Clients money or time, never compromising the quality or aesthetics of the project. Highly recommend him.

We have had a great experience with Steven and Sacred Oak Homes. We hired this firm for a large gut renovation that spanned several months (kitchen, bathrooms, structural changes, new flooring) and he and his team completed the project with excellence. We very much appreciated the on-going and open regular communication and Steven's expertise and advice along the way. We have been very pleased with the team's professionalism, attention to detail (tile work, floors, carpentry, electric, etc.), caring nature and commitment to doing things the right way with the right materials. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Steven and his team took an ordinary, poorly built kitchen and created a beautiful, sophisticated space for my family. The finish work was done with an artisan's touch and every tiny detail attended to. They definitely took the cabinets and appliances up several notches. Very high end looking. I would highly recommend them for any type of project from small to very, very large.

We found Steven's ideas and work to be thoughtful, creative, thorough and now quite beautiful. I originally spoke with Steven about a new kitchen. He patiently went over ideas for the plan and materials. The results are spectacular including his thought of having a large picture window with a stained glass window above it over our kitchen sink. His eye is toward a simple elegance using natural materials and quality workmanship. Anyone will be lucky to have him as their contractor and I look forward to contacting him for our next project.

Steve MacLeay provided the comprehensive services of costing, project management, and construction for a custom home that I designed. I found Steve to be very professional and thoughtful throughout the process, with an appreciation for the balance between design and budget. Long afterwards he continues to serve that customer, who was obviously very pleased as well.

Kommentiert: what are the counter tops in picsThe counter tops are a green granite. I suggested green because according to Fung Shui, this is the money area of the home and green is an appropriate color. The client found this stone. Sorry, I do...
