Sara LaPorte Architect

We bought a new apartment in Williamsburg and hired Sara to build out our closets, install wallpaper, add lighting, and design millwork so that every nook was functional without sacrificing design. The best part of hiring Sara is you get her design collaboration, everything is presented in CAD so you can visualize before moving forward, and she oversaw the project was executed to our standards. We researched several closet companies and I"m happy we went with Sara because the pricing was fair in comparison and we got exactly what we wanted - highly functional and beautiful. She designed coffered ceilings for us to trouble shoot no light fixtures in our cement ceilings and we added beautiful accent lighting throughout the entire apartment. We designed an entrance shoe bench, desks for the kids, cabinets, and a custom bunk bed. We are very pleased with the outcome of the apartment.

My husband and I are both lawyers, which means we are risk averse and work crazy hours. We needed someone who would be patient, responsive and meet their deadlines. Sara was fantastic throughout our entire project! She understood our taste and proposed great light and color plans. She also worked with us as we considered light fixtures only to end up picking the ones she had suggested originally! We also loved the elegant cabinets and hardware she helped us choose for the kitchen. We would certainly work with her again.

Sara is amazing at what she does. She is very detail oriented and provides great customer service. She was able to design my project exactly the way I wanted and was able to turn around deliverables within a short period of time.
