Always mindful of the personal value of your appraised and sentimental pieces, offering cost effective good/better/best options when that is a concern. Work may be performed on or off site depending on the nature of the commission. I perform all the hands on work, assembling a talented work crew as the situation arises. I will travel outside of my usual range if need be. Very comfortable talking about art, aesthetics,antiques, interior design and construction. Able to bridge feminine and masculine viewpoints of design and aesthetics to achieve mutual appreciation. My technical and medical background assist in understanding complexities and process. I have no problem working in anonymity or the quiet dignity of restoration that requires no fanfare. You won’t realize that I’m there but you’ll be glad that I was.

My 1929 Tudor has a unique 1st floor plastered ceiling with raised veins running through it. A large 4'X5' section had to be replaced due to a leaking overhead shower stall. I rejected offers from several contractors who proposed a drywall cover or similar cosmetic repairs. Mr. Soho was engaged after I met him at a seminar and had a opportunity to review of his extensive portfolio and acquire a understanding of his commitment to maintaining the historic architecture of homes like mine. During the repair process his commitment and craftsmanship was on full display as he meticulously restored my ceiling to the point that the repairs are undetectable. I and glad I made the decision to spend the extra money on a plaster repair rather than a drywall resurfacing job. More importantly I'm glad I found him after months of searching for a artisan with his skill set.

I needed an artist to come touch-up a wide variety of faux-painted walls and doors in my home. The original painter/artist had moved out of state and I had nicks, scuffs and holes through my large home. He masterfully matched at least 4 different faux-painted surfaces and the results were as good as if the original artist had done it. Plus, he's a pleasure to have in your home working...quiet, calm and professional.
