We are an architecture studio founded in 2004 delivering quality design to a range of project scales from applied research to residential and commercial projects. We approach all scales of design through reconsideration of the conceptual framework, careful detailing, and the integration of new materials and construction techniques with the fabric of each project’s context. Our goal is to produce works of quiet innovation. Through the careful study of materiality, light and context combined with a sensitivity to program and use, our work intends to generate subtle narratives of occupation and to encourage participation in linked sensorial and spatial sequences. We generate unique and clear solutions through an intensely collaborative process that integrates creativity, experience, close attention to detail, and careful consideration of each client’s particular needs. We derive satisfaction from the pursuit of a balance between the aesthetic and practical concerns in our work and in using constraints as opportunities to enhance our designs. As a part of this philosophy, our strong belief in sustainability pushes us to work with each client to produce buildings that have the lightest environmental impact possible.
