Every piece is entirely unique and filled with history, without chopping down the beautiful trees we have today. Quite by accident, Steve Winchester started a summer season gig building homes for wealthy Flatlanders with Rudi Maier, the head of the Mad River Ski School he was working for at the time. Serendipitously, working with wood in the mountains of Vermont, he found his calling. It was the beginning of a lifelong journey in residential home building & remodeling, custom built-in design and wood crafting. That career moved him all over the east coast over the next 30 years, accompanied by his spouse, 3 super kids and a menagerie of dogs, cats, hamsters, turtles, lizards and a few extra creatures.
