Susan Little Design

Susan helped with design choices and ideas in our home. She provided her own expertise, but supported our decisions based on what felt best for us in the home. Susan helped us select flooring, paint colors, suggested art and rugs. It was great to have another person to bounce ideas off of and she kept the project running smoothly.

I have used Susan for two projects. She helped me with my kitchen remodel 2 years ago, and again last month on a major remodel of our master bathroom. While I have a lot of my own ideas she is able to keep me from making major mistakes and helps me to make some decisions "outside the box." She is outstanding in picking the right colors for walls and trim and pays close attention to details. I think she treats small projects with the same enthusiasm as large ones and goes the extra mile in customer service.

My husband and I were transitioning our home from the PNW to the Desert and we needed some help with our decorating. We knew we wanted to change up some flooring and we had to paint. Susan helped us to identify a style and decor that fits our lifestyle. Her help in connecting us with excellent contractors and vendors in a new environment was invaluable. We worked with many of the pieces we cherish in our home and complimented them with accessories that we might not have otherwise chosen. We WILL use Susan again if we do future projects

I hired Susan to do a small remodel in my home, which in the end became a complete redesign. I researched and spoke with several designers. What stuck with me, was that right away Susan showed genuine excitement and great vision around the possibilities. The remodel included flooring, furniture, window coverings, lighting and accessories for the dining and living and family rooms, master bedroom and bath, guest room and bath including color selections and painting of the entire home. I had never gone through a major redesign or worked with a designer before and was unsure of the process. Susan asked me a lot of questions about by tastes, listened to my ideas and brought back a vision that was awesome! She did such a great job of ensuring the design was something that I would love. The result is that she gave me such a beautiful place, one that I couldn't imagine getting to on my own, and I love it! My home looks like a model home. In addition to the design, she coordinated and managed the entire project. This included purchasing and delivering hard and soft goods, coordinating and managing the contractors, inspection of their work and set up of the furniture. I still have one bedroom that I intend to finish at a later date and Susan will be there with me! She was so easy to work with, had great vision and creative ideas, paid attention to detail, masterfully managed all the moving parts and ensured that I would love the results...and I do! I still can't believe how great it looks! Susan is a true professional, super creative, has reliable sub contractors, is mindful of my budget and great to work with. I highly recommend Susan to anyone looking for help on a remodel.

I first met Susan over 10 years ago when she created the color scheme for the inside of my home and provided the painting crew. The job was completed on time and was perfect and without any problems. Last year Susan helped me select the exterior colors of my home. Once again perfect. There is no one better at color than Susan Little. Most recently she helped me change out a chair fabric and cornice board for my family room. This turned out to be perfect as well. Susan is extremely easy to work with and has access to very good workmen.

I work with Susan, as one of her vendors. I want to let everyone know that she is precise and pays attention to detail. Susan took the stress out of our remodel while adding style and a relaxing feel to the entire house. The house had angles going in every direction, creating a sense stress at the end of already stressful days. She incorporated arches to provide a more open feel and match the exterior architecture to bring the outside in and enlarged the feel of the rooms. We repositioned walls and added a pantry in place of a dated bar, while repurposing some of the kitchen cabinets into a built in hutch for the main dining area. Her tile selection and design provided a more symmetrical feel and the perfect juxtaposition with the new driftwood flooring. Because of her, my husband and I finally feel a sense of equilibrium and balance when we get home and open the door. Thank you Susan!

Susan helped me when I moved into my new house, which is much smaller than my last home. She made wonderful recommendations on placement of furniture and for window blinds. I like her professionalism and willingness to work with me on what I like and how to make it work.

Repainted whole house interior including kitchen cabinets. Replaced kitchen counter tops with new granite . Replaced sitting room with new tiles . Replaced kitchen sink . Installed new backsplash in the kitchen . Our house definitely looking much better than before. We are very pleased overall with Susan Little Design services.

Susan has set me free. We were at the end of our renovation of kitchen, family room, living/dining room when I contacted Susan. All of the big things were done; countertops, cabinets, wood flooring and paint. I was happy with results except for a few stupid mistakes. I was exhausted by the process and just couldn't pull the whole thing together in a way that looked finished. We have accumulated a lot of furniture and art work over the years that we are attached to. Susan was able to work with our existing pieces with some excellent re-arrangement and editing as well as correcting the big mistakes I had made; kitchen backsplash and accent wall paint color. She had an inspired idea to make an art wall in our kitchen/family room using my husband's art which had previously been packed in boxes because we didn't know what to do with it. It is fabulous and have received compliments from those who have seen it. Finally, she gave us some choices for lighting and accessories which are gorgeous in the house. She has been very respectful of budget issues and has treated us very generously with her time and and discounted products. The people she uses for installation have been great. The whole process has been seamless and fun. Susan was very patient with me and my controlling personality in the beginning , with the end result being that I can just trust her and relax. It became fun instead of a burden. I have no regrets and would highly recommend her to anyone considering using a designer. I am a believer. It is easier and more cost effective in the long run. As I said, I am finally at peace and happy with our home. Thank you Susan

I asked Susan to help me spruce up my bedroom. I hadn't changed anything for many years. She had really amazing ideas that I could pick and choose from. I have a tufted headboard but could never use the bedspread that matched it because it was just too heavy. She suggested that we just make it lighter. We then picked out fabric for the shams and a beautiful trim. Then we found fabric for the pillows. Everything tied together perfectly and her prices were reasonable. I'm tough to make happy until it "sings" to me. Susan was so kind to come over several times with books and fabric until I was completely satisfied. She is very talented and has a good eye for color. The part that I liked best was that she worked with me rather than for me..
