Working with Andy of Tajo-One, Inc. was a great experience. I am an interior designer in California and needed a general contractor for a client’s extensive vacation home renovation in Las Vegas who could do quality work in a short time frame. Since I was overseeing the project long distance, I needed someone I could trust to get the job done right. Andy met those needs and then some. He and his crew went above and beyond to provide excellent work and meticulous communication. My only complaint is that he doesn’t live in Southern California! - If you are considering a home improvement project, Tajo-One is the contractor for you!

Tajo One did a large downstairs remodel for us beginning in May 2016. We removed a big center wall that contained the stairs in the house and extended the kitchen significantly. Andy and Ted managed the architect, engineer, city permits and other players necessary in such a large remodel. We are thrilled with the results. The remodel accomplished exactly what we were hoping. We now have open concept and completely updated living throughout the downstairs. Andy and Ted and their crew were all extremely professional throughout the lengthy project. They all really cared about the quality of work and redid anything that wasn't right without charging us more. I thought they were going to be quite upset when I asked them to move an already installed island that they placed exactly according to the architect plans. Instead of telling me that they did the job as agreed and I was out of luck, Andy looked at the situation, and agreed that it would be more functional if moved. He arranged the move and took care of all of several things that went with such a change, plumbing, cabinetry adjustments, and removing and replacing the granite. This was no small feat but made all the difference in the functionality of my new kitchen. I'll never forget how accommodating they were. Tajo One had a large slider that hides in the wall put into our home. It looked fine to me, but Ted and Andy noticed that it had a problem and insisted and followed through with the the window company coming and replace the 10' bottom rail. Andy and Ted did a good job with staying on and completing little things at the end. This is sometimes where things can get frustrating with a contractor but not with Tajo One. I highly recommend Andy and Ted and crew if you want a fair price, attention to detail, honest and prompt communication and a remarkable pride in workmanship that is not always a given when hiring a contractor. If we have any additional work done in the future, we would definitely use Tajo-One again.

From the moment I met Andy, I knew I trusted him to complete my kitchen remodel. The images and videos you see on TV of people swinging sledge-hammers to demo a wall are the complete opposite of what you can expect from Andy and his crew. Our demolition was like watching a surgeon skillfully and carefully make every cut. Nothing was demo'd without knowing exactly what lay behind each sheet of drywall. And this type of care and precision was still executed even having the builder's plans for my house. Everyone on Andy's team is top-notch and did excellent work, completing everything on-time and within budget. I highly recommend Tajo One Construction! Andy and his team completely renovated the interior of our home and they were awesome. The attention to detail was terrific and Andy had such creative ideas as we reconfigured several spaces. He really listened to what we wanted and then came up with plans for how to do it. Thank you Andy and Tajo One for helping us realize our dream home!

Tajo-One did a total house remodel for me. This included Travertine throughout the entire house, kitchen, two bathrooms, a custom double sided fireplace and painting all rooms. The work was of the highest quality, completed in orderly time. The quote was very reasonable and very professional. I would highly recommend Tajo-One as a high quality contractor and plan to use them again.

In August, 2014, I retained Tajo-One ("TO") to build out my medical office from an empty space. 'TO" contracted with a local architect to draw up plans to build out the office with inclusions for electrical, walls, duct work. The architect took over 4 weeks to get the plans back to us and although her renderings were professional the placement of the business office, lack of adequate duct redistribution, electrical outlooks were turned out to be glaring. I will admit that I approved the plans that were submitted to the city and I share in some responsibility for the deficiencies, however I am a surgeon and neither a licensed architect or licensed contractor and hence the majority of the responsibility falls on " TO". The first major delay came around Thanksgiving when the owner of " TO" took off leaving the job to his underlings, whom, as anticipated did nothing. This of course caused another week delay in opening. Then we had to deal with an additional $2000.00 for sprinklers which were needed but of course missed in the original bid or rendering. Then we had to deal with the floors. "TO" claimed that he had a great deal on flooring for the treatment rooms and that the same floor was recently used by a lab. that he had just completed. The floor turned out to be a white speckled vinyl which, unfortunately, picked up every speck of dirt and has a true nightmare to clean, we of course changed out the floor ( my own additional expense one week after opening the office) " TO" was very accommodating with getting the paint requested, however since "TO"'s painter only used one coat of paint, we were left with nothing more then white washed walls on those walls which had been designated to have a light color on them. The office to this day is missing thresholds over both doors, the duct system produces a temperature differential of 40 degrees between my office were there is a duct and the hallway which does not, again, to whom does the responsibility lie? "TO", the architect, the tenant? I think that " TO" takes responsibility for these lapses. Finally, electrical. Again, I take responsibility for allowing the prints to be submitted without adequate electrical wiring in the business office, treatment rooms and doctors office. However it is undeniable the responsibility of the General Contractor to make sure that either the plans are redone to include these needed outlets or that they be completed after the inspection so that I didn't need to use extension chords or drill a hole from my office to another room . It is now 6 months since " TO" finished their work, although it took longer then I anticipated to pay them ( Mia Cuppa) I still expected the owner of " TO". to fulfill his promise and obligation to instill the needed electrical outlets that we were promised . It shouldn't matter whether the architect was unprofessional in her renderings or that it needed to be excluded to get in at a certain time. A man's word and promise is all he has and now that " TO" has gotten their money, they have no intention of finishing the work. I gave " TO" 2 stars instead of 1 because I believe Andy, the owner to be a genuine good person. However "Res ipsa loquitur"!

Andy and his team were consummate professionals in completing the first project with us. While it wasn't the biggest of projects, the installation of stacked stone around our bedroom fireplace was something we wanted done before we moved into the new house. Andy was respectful, intuitive to my wishes, prompt, returned phone calls, and his team was great in completing the job to our complete satisfaction. We were so pleased we went on to work with his cabinet partner, Buddy Cormier at Willbanks who is outstanding in his attention to detail and follow through. We now have a new kitchen ordered so our little job expanding into a big one. We feel extremely fortunate to have found a great team of professionals in Andy Steinborn's team.

Tajo One has been great to work with. They are not afraid of clients that want very detailed and have delicate requests such as completely changing a kitchen layout, walls, plumbing, electrical etc and still keeping all up to Nevada building codes. Andy is very detailed and makes my clients feel confident with the choices made. Ted is actually the one we call the magician because he has knowledge in all phases of construction. We kid about Ted saying when he walks in a room all you see is legs and a tool belt : ) Thanks guys
