The Lighting Geek

We've had a wonderful experience working with The Lighting Geek over the past three years. Tommy (the owner), takes pride in his work, and his enthusiasm about lighting is infectious! We have a large home on a two acre property, and he made our house and landscaping look spectacular at night. He even added fiber optic lighting to our pool, and illuminated 3 large palm trees in bright blue, green & magenta colors, like something you would see at a 5 star hotel. We started three years ago, and I keep calling Tommy back in to add more lights! Now we have over 500 lights total, and the effect is stunning. My wife & are thrilled with how much nicer our property looks now. And we're also surprised how stable and dependable the system is. There's rarely ever any problem, but if a landscaper breaks a light or something, Tommy will send his team out right away to fix it. Also the LED technology tommy uses is very inexpensive to run. I expected our bill to go through the roof with so many lights, but they only use a fraction of the power of the old lights I used to have. If you need lighting, we highly recommend The Lighting Geek!

I have been designing landscapes for over 37 years, and have designed projects all over the United States. I have a degree in Landscape Architecture from UC Davis and an advanced degree in design from Europe. Tommy (The Lighting Geek) has an exceptional talent for exterior lighting. He understands unique design principles. I have been impressed with his lighting talents and, as a result, I hired him to light our backyard outdoor room. The result is truly amazing. My wife and I are very happy with the final result. Tommy accented the focal points of the landscape perfectly, gave us better lighting to dine, and installed newer energy efficient (LED) fixtures. We live in a rural, private gated community with few lights and many oak trees. We have worked with Tommy for years, developing dramatic and functional lighting around our entertainment areas and our oaks, in both the front and back yards. What I liked most about the Lighting Geek was their willingness to work within your budget and implement your dream yard in phases. I started with 5 lights and over time, continued to add more as my budget allowed and we now have a fully lit front yard, back yard and side yards with over 50 lights. After installing our first round of lights in 2006, Tommy came back at night to see how they looked and adjusted the lights accordingly - I loved that extra touch. It's now 9 years later, and they continue to provide great maintenance service. I highly recommend the Lighting Geek for all your lighting needs!

I had my entire yard crashed, on my own dime, by the original yard crasher. While the yard looked great, it was the lights professionally installed by Tommy, the Lighting Geek, who brought the yard to life. He and his professional crew know exactly where and what to install to emphasize the key elements in your yard. I have had him come back and install additional lights in my front yard. You get what you pay for and his lights are with every penny.

We recently had our yard relandscaped to support the need for water conservation. We first hired Tommy, aka The Lighting Geek, in 2006 to enhance our yard thru illumination. With our completed relandscape project, we again sought the Geek's amazing talent to highlight our new yard. It is a pleasure working with The Lighting Geek and crew. If you think your landscaper created a fantastic horticultural environment when viewed in the daylight, the finishing touch requires the exceptional talents of The Lighting Geek. At night, our yard becomes the local Butchart Gardens. Do not hesitate to commit to his excellence in illumination, Tommy is that good.
