Couldn't have done it without Jenny from Ultimate Designs! She helps coordinate the project with the construction company--taking the stress off the home owner. She over sees the deliveries that she's ordered. That in-itself is worth the price (which is very reasonable). She listens to the home owners wants--yea! Her drawings of each room in the house (that is being remodeled) really helps the home owner get the idea of what is expected and how it will look. Her knowledge about kitchen layouts is fantastic. So glad I listened to her advice on cabinet placement. My advice--Don't start a project without Ultimate Designs; you'll be so glad you did. :)

She really helped me conceptually design my bathroom remodel, stretching my personal limits to the point of seeing something I hadn’t seen before as far as design and it worked out beautifully and I am really glad that we went with her design ideas and concepts, as they are both functional and very beautiful at the same time. She can assess a situation in a short period of time and provide timely responses avoiding heavy design fees that are a waste of time for consumers.

The bloom project

Jenny has both a great eye and an understanding of budgets, which is to say she can make things look great while spending a lot less than other designers would have you spend. I've done 3 projects with her so far, all a bit different in terms of scope and style, and all have turned out splendidly.

Jenny completed a kitchen remodel design for us last month. She strikes the right balance of listening and suggesting, the creative and the practical. Her process and use of tools make the design "come alive" so you can really get a feel for your completed project. She is experienced, knowledgeable, easy to work with and responsive. Jenny helped us with the complete redesigning of our kitchen, master bathroom, living room and outdoor area. She is great to work with, super-knowledgeable and a very good listener. She incorporated absolutely all our wishes and needs, she has great connections and introduced us to contractors and subs. The projects went without a glitch and we couldn't be happier with Jenny and the outcome of the project. We have some other projects with our house (complete house remodel) and we wouldn't think of anyone better to tackle the job. Jenny and her team are absolutely outstanding. Use them and you won't be disappointed!

Jenny helped us remodel our old kitchen, and we are delighted with the results. She had lots of ideas, but was very respectful of our plans and wishes. She helped us solve problems that we didn't even realize were problems! She has tradespeople she recommends and we are very happy with the work they did. She was fun to work with. If we ever remodel our bathrooms I would hire her again in an instant.

I am remodeling my kitchen and needed help with the most efficient and useful placement of appliances, cabinets, etc. She had very useful ideas about how to handle what I thought were hard situations, such as lighting and making the most of cabinet space. Jenny listened to my needs and offered appropriate ideas. She was cost aware and had many original ideas.

Jenny has helped us with two different projects, the first was a kitchen design. The space in our kitchen was challenging but with Jenny's help it turned out amazing, even the custom cabinet builder commented on the creativity of the design. Jenny also helped us to design 1,600 sq ft. of deck space, we are very excited about the design and are in the middle of having the project bid by local contractors. Karen & Bruce

We found Jenny on the internet. We were looking for a certified kitchen planner to help us renovate a relatively small kitchen that had not been updated since the house was built in the mid '60's. The traffic pattern was inefficient and storage was inadequate. We tasked Jenny with designing a kitchen that had an efficient layout and expanded storage. This was a tall order in the existing space as we did not want to change the footprint of the house or lose any space in the adjoining rooms. Jenny did a magnificent job of creating a kitchen that was much more efficient and had significantly more storage space, and that was in keeping with the character of our home. Our new kitchen feels more spacious and is far easier to work in. We found Jenny very easy to work with and responsive to our requirements. We went through several iterations before we arrived at a final plan. Her experience and training in kitchen design were invaluable in assisting us to understand and make good decisions on design details. The result was a kitchen that met all of our needs and we absolutely love it. We would not hesitate to use Jenny in any future remodeling projects.

Jenny helped me with my great room. She was able to come up with a concept and sketch it right on the spot and that was a great help to me. She is meticulous with her measurements and has a great eye for proportion. She not only listened but heard me! She understands and knows how to stay within a budget. She was very responsive, easy to work with and always returned my calls. I would absolutely recommend her to others and use her myself again. In every way I was very pleased with Jenny.

Jenny is a gem! I'd been wanting to update my 1970's kitchen since I moved into my house, but couldn't quite visualize how I wanted it to look. I finally called Jenny, and she provided the inspiration and ideas that I needed! In addition to knowing her materials and being a great designer, she's also very creative! We were able to incorporate a number of artistic and unique details into the kitchen and were confident that it would all fit and work together. She was always available and responsive when I had questions, took me shopping, and introduced us to a number of great sources for materials and contractors. We saved a lot of money using her Designer's discount and connections. She really took ownership of our project like it was her own kitchen and went above and beyond the call of duty on a number of occasions. We were so happy with the results that we also had her help us layout and consult with us on our vacation rental this past year. It was an even bigger project that included opening up the kitchen to the living space, a built in settee/dining area, re-opening the front porch that had been enclosed, designing a stackable washer and dryer closet, relaying out one bathroom and converting an office space into a second bath and all with very little room to work with! We highly recommend Jenny for her talent and enthusiasm! You'll love working with her!

While I don't doubt that Jenny is a talented designer, her level of professionalism leaves much to be desired. I would expect that when hiring a designer they would work with you as you gain information that can and will change design elements. In my case it had to do with the cost associated with moving a kitchen drain in our concrete slab. When given that information to Jenny, her response was, and I quote, "Hi Nancy. I don't have time right now to go into the details of how I think you should proceed and why you feel your wheels are spinning with no progress." She then went on into a lengthy e-mail about her services rendered which were never in question, and which seemed to be regarding a $165.00 bill that was outstanding. I had never disputed the bill and it was paid promptly. When talking to a friend of mine who's an architect she assumed that perhaps my designer had gotten upset that I had talked to a contractor that had highlighted the cost of drilling through our slab to sink the new drain. Regardless of the cause, I would steer clear of Jenny as one would assume that issues will arise in any remodel but when they do you one hopes to be treated in a respectful and professional manner. Jenny was paid in full, but the working relationship left me with a horrible taste in my mouth......

We hired Jenny to do our kitchen, and bathrooms when we lost our home to a fire. After we started with her, we realized we were way over our heads with the whole design process. Jenny took over and finished our home with beautiful products we would never have seen or thought of. Our home is now our sanctuary, and we have Jenny and her creative mind to thank for that. Jenny was great to work with. We did a large Teak cabinet project in Beverly Hills with over 80 individual cabinets and vanities. It came out beautiful and the customer was thrilled thanks to Jennys great design sense and ability to do hand drawings. Very easy to work with and definitely on top of her game.

Finding Jenny was the best investment we made for our new kitchen. Her design process was relaxing as we talked through the cooking issues from our old kitchen. We knew the style we liked, but also wanted a cooking space functional enough to grow old with. That is where Jenny excelled; she listened, suggested and then rendered the final plans. Those plans contained all the spec information we needed to help us shop around for product estimates. A year later, I still love how easy and logical it is to cook in our new kitchen. Sometime in our future, she will be designing our living room remodel as well.

I highly recommend Jenny Levitsky of Ultimate Designs as your designer of choice. I guarantee you will have the kitchen of your dreams!!! Our kitchen was a very 80’s galley kitchen that we desperately wanted updated. Jenny presented several new layout options through her CAD drawings--several of which we had never thought about that completely opened up our kitchen. I noticed right away that Jenny was looking around our house, trying to get a feel for our tastes. She researched floor tile (we chose a beautiful slate), backsplash material, plumbing, lighting, and appliance options to help us achieve the look we were going for. Jenny is willing to do as much or as little work as the client desires. We ended up with a kitchen that is “totally us”. Jenny is the complete package……she brought us a wonderful general contractor who did quality work at a very reasonable price. Even though he was supposed to be “the boss”, Jenny really acted as a GC throughout the entire project—being the buffer for any issues that came up, especially with the vendors......and keeping everyone on schedule. Jenny went toe to toe with some of the vendors to make sure that we were supported and items that were promised were delivered to our satisfaction. Every issue was rectified in our favor. She puts client needs above that of the contractor or the vendors that she deals with on a regular basis. Jenny’s prices were quite reasonable for the outstanding service that was delivered. We started the project wanting a “budget kitchen” and Jenny was able to provide ideas that were money saving. As we dove deeper into the project, we decided to expand our pocket book in order to create a more upscale kitchen than we had originally envisioned and Jenny helped us find the “best bang for the buck”. The final product looks like a high end kitchen remodel, however, it was completed within a mid-range price. Jenny will be my first and only choice for any future remodeling in our home.

In January of 2013 we did not know where to turn for our kitchen remodel. I googled El Dorado County Kitchen Designers and up came a list of names. I chose Jenny from Ultimate Designs and gave her a call. We set an appointment to meet at our home and we knew instantly when we met her that she was the one. She was all about function and design. She worked with us on each and every detail all along the way. Our kitchen turned out fabulous and more than we imagined. Every one who sees it says it is fantastic. Is it functional, oh ya! We've worked with Jenny on many occasions and have been thrilled with the results of each. Most recently, she did all of the design work on a new home were building in Tahoma -- literally everything. The architect handed over a set of plans and Jenny chose all of the finishes to make the home an incredible Tahoe rustic-contemporary retreat. She nailed it for us, using numerous creative finishes to allow the house to stand out from most everything else in the area. She's converted run down old cottages into transitional luxury homes, given 70's condos a wonderful urban contemporary feel and turned boring typical tract homes into stylish, updated places that are the envy of the neighborhood. Jenny always listens carefully to our goals and does her best achieve them while respecting our budget. When the work is done, it is BEAUTIFUL, and when we sell the places, they always bring top dollar fast!

Jenny helped us create a beautiful master bedroom suite by combining two bedrooms with an existing small bathroom. She had no trouble visioning what we wanted with a minimum of structural work and created the drawings for permits in a very timely manner. Savings on the structural and foundation work left more money for fixtures and finishes. Everyone who sees the house loves what she did for us. The new blends in with the old so well, it looks as though the house was originally built that way. We highly recommend Jenny and Ultimate Designs for your kitchen or bathroom remodeling project.

Jenny is a tremendous visionary. She not only listens but she helped me develop my own ideas. She is extremely thoughtful, patient and respectful of my concepts. She was always mindful of cost, offering many different alternatives with different price points. She is an excellent communicator and was an amazing asset throughout the entire build process. Her knowledge of materials and products is far beyond what I ever expected. Jenny gave me a kitchen that was more than I ever could have wished for!
